@@huhulili9021 Isai is a notorious smash god, but he's also known to sandbag a lot(see his set vs captain jack in melee) when he has no motivation to play.

The bad thing about beating Isai is that you can never really be confident that you actually beat Isai. You feel good about it for awhile, "Yea, I beat the legendary Isai." But later that night as you sit on the edge of your bed staring at the floor thoughts start to enter your head:
Did I really beat Isai?
Was he really trying his best or was that just 2% Isai?
What does 2% Isai even play like? What about Top Percentage Isai?
What if he just felt bad for me? After almost being 5 stocked with a Luigi, who wouldn't?

love AND hate about Isai. I get where y'all are coming from, but realize that due to his sandbagging we DIDN'T get Isai vs Superboomfan Grand Finals, which may have been the hypest GF set in 64 history. Instead we got Superboomfan vs Wizzy and....... *sigh* Kirby *sigh*

I can never bring myself to watch the rest of the set. The "Pivot Up-Tilt" moment is enough of a reason to keep me satisfied.

I get that Isai doesn't need to prove anything, but for the love of Smash he should have crushed Wizzy with Pika just to get the runback with Boom. That would have spared the viewers from the TERRIBLE grand finals we got instead. I'm a 64 player all the way but I have to admit HL Kirby matches are the fucking worse to watch.

Already addressed that with my first words lol. He can do whatever he wants when it comes to smash and doesn't NEED to put on a show for us, but the scene sometimes suffers for his seemingly apathetic approach. Proof is in the pudding; just watch 3/4 of the audience bounce during grand finals.

Isai is too good. I believe deep down he only lets mortals win cause he has had enough glory and wants to just enjoy the game.

You get too much of a good thing and it becomes slightly stale. Isai is just one of the guys who brings out the best the game offers and goddamn it is glorious

Isai is like Beerus from dbz he never gives it his all he just holds back because he thinks it's amusing
He's closer in temperament to Goku. A groovy chill dude who likes fighting for its own sake, not conquest. Also he follows Goku's pattern of always power scaling to the competitor. He never goes Super Saiyan max if he doesn't think the opponent is up to it.
It's super old news now but I always come back to this set as one of my favorites in all of smash

I like how pikachu's electricity shows the victims skeleton in this game. Unfortunately, that characteristic didn't carry over in the newer smash bros games.

Samus was considered the worst for a while, because she was thought to have no comboes, but she saw a huge rise recently, thanks in part to jouske. She's the "best" of the low tier category in the new tier list(below mario and jiggs, but above DK/ness/link/luigi)
