Fabulous radio. I’ve just got hold of a minty fresh one, boxed and looks like it’s never been used. Everything still in the original plastic bags etc. A rare find! I shall be looking after it rather carefully. First used the Uniden 2830 version of this radio in the 80s and was an instant favourite.
I bought a mk1 in the mid 90's, had contacts all over the globe, truly loved that radio but sold it along with everything else i owned radio wise. After a messy divorce a few yrs ago i decided to get back into the hobby and one came up for sale in Birmingham that was mint, paid slightly over the odds but so glad i own another and im keeping it. Iconic to some, loathed by others but to the lovers of this radio it does exactly what it says on the tin and good clean examples that havnt had the magic screwdriver in it are becoming hard to find. I have Icoms, Kenwoods and Yaesu but still turn the lincoln on first.
It's a very very good radio. In its day it already had a fairly good quality/price comparison. I have two and still use one mobile. Highly recommend it.
Sure this one has the MRF455 single pill inside ; very nice new condition ; just bought one from my friend in France (the one with the MRF455 inside), and will receive it in a few weeks ; it is in a similar condition.
Most radios that I am aware of of won't work without a correct mic installed as it completes the circuits inside the radio. Usually you wont get any audio out of the rig until you plug a mic in. Often I buy rigs (with mics) that present no audio and it usually that is its the wrong mic. If you've bought a Lincoln without a Mic then make sure you buy the right mic for it before testing again. Be aware that not all 4 pin Mics are wired the same way Hope that helps!
I used to have one of these when they just came out. I loved it. What a great radio it was. Wish they would bring out a new version of this, not that ugly thing thay call Lincoln II.. Enjoy it, last of the great ones :)
Circa 1992 To 2000 Best 10m /11m export rig on receive all day long.. If aligned properly... P.S. If you can find a mint Stalker 9FDX . That is a keeper all day long.. Obviously a original Cobra 148 GTL DX is the holy grail... But good luck with that stupid money..
RF power is to adjust your TX power on AM/FM nothing to do with helping recive transmissions, if your going to do a review on your radio learn about it first please ,plus what a waste to use it on Muppets 19 what you had it set on in the beginning of the video

Fantastic radios, I have a couple here and run one mobile, that looks to be in great condition.....surely it's a keeper ;)
I just picked up a cobra 148glf with a lescom channel board in it. Im having fun learning it.
Great radio. Mine's a bit worn now but still delivers. Use a Mark 2 as well. No comparison but both good radios in their own right. Nice video too.
Hello matey I own a mark pressadent linkin how much power does it give out on fm
Nice lincoln. Just like the Uniden and president HR2510s. Legend.
Should never have sold mine, trying to get another is almost impossible. The mk2+ doesn't appeal to me.

Looks very clean
everybody says this thing is an icon and on ebay they are over $300, can someone explain what the big deal is?

Could you do a video using an external swr meter as I’m about to buy a swr meter as I will be running my radio in the car .
