thanks for the explanation but I have a question in mind what we gona do when the 8 base(octal) contain numbers above 7 that we cant make with 4 2 1 in the first place and what happens when we cant contain them groups of four for some reason.
i just finished my finals exam 💀 i couldnt attend the class when our prof taught this so i dun really know if yall have the same format of solving but ig as long as the answers are the same i dun really care PLUS this method was easy so f^ck it 😌💯

in our exam our teacher gave 892 in octal base and wanted to change it to decimal base but can octal bases contain numbers above 7
No digit should be greater than 7, your teacher may just be evil
