Yeah CBs aren't meant to be there to make profit. Actually none of them are. That's why they're sold for what they are. They're meant to be bought for all the pretty shiny cards right up front.
It will be interesting to see what actually holds its value in a month or so as there are some really good cards in the set that are very cheap right now( for commander)
the serialized cards are such a stupid chase, maybe if they had unique arts for only 500 cards not just a stamp. This set is amazing though, the new mechanic isn’t as bad as it seems
I got a box. Got 2 regular set mythics (both chandra) and 1 MUL mythic then 3 commander mythics. BUT 1 serialized Geruda (109/500). TBH, I'd trade the Serialized card for better spread of regular set value. The serialized cards feel overhyped tbh.

March of the Machine is a set I planned to largely skip (I'll grab singles of the cards I really wanna collect) cause I AM going to binge on The Lord of the Rings! Say what you want about Universes Beyond or LOTR, but I am simply blown away by that set. I want 'em all & if I buy a Collector Booster box, it would either be all Slivers 😂 or LOTR! I want to get into magic but I'm intimidated by people talking about how much their decks are, is it possible to build a decent deck for less than 100?
I feel like this set is going to be one of the ones that doesnt hold up value wise. If they would stop printing 30 different versions of cards then maybe mythics and rares would feel “rare”. The sad thing is these sets that have come out over the past few years are actually fun and good sets. But the over printing and variants have ruined it. Sad because i love this game
A CB is never worth it. The variance is too huge and people no longer have the money to support the market

I would think that opening collector if u get serealized cards it would be worth it. If not pre release kits > booster set box

I lost like 150+$ on my cb box lol and there was 2 BASIC lands in it not showcase just foil basics. Never seen that before I was pissed

CB are good in singles. Too much for a whole box but the art work is sometimes worth it. I bought one pack and got my new permanent commander
