- Delhi Dehradun Expressway is an under-construction 210 km long 12-lane (Delhi to EPE & 6-lane access controlled expressway in India with operational speed limit of 120 kmph between Delhi and Dehradun. The expressway is spread across the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and passes through cities such as Baghpat, Baraut, Shamli and Saharanpur. It also has two additional spurs - 50.7 km long 6-lane Saharanpur-Roorke-Haridwar Expressway and 121 km long 6-lane Ambala-Shamli Expressway.
Delhi Dehradun Expressway is expected to be completed by March 2024

This will further increase congestion in Dehradun abd further locations in the hills. Hopefully the local govt also has some planning and implementation in place.

Will replace the passengers footfall & cargo movement from existing airports of both mega citys of India.

After this there will be big traffic jams in our beloved town (now city). The y should also make a dehradun bypass connecting to this so that residents and tourists aren't troubled like it used to be before 2015. Great video.

For people going to Dehradun, it is going to be very useful...but the problem will be for people who want to go towards Mussoorie and other inner parts of Uttarakhand as there will be a huge bottleneck situation occurring because an expressway is not possible on hills (means after Dehradun) and when lots of traffic will reach Dehradun, they will create a long jam, hence the traffic situation in the city could worsen...I don't know whether that will happen, but I think a bypass much before reaching Dehradun must be built to escape the long traffic jam situation in the capital city for people who want to skip Dehradun...If this is not done, then reaching Mussoorie will take almost the same time as today, except that now more people will get stuck in Dehradun which is already a big headache...

Pillar's height looks less at the time of water/flood. Don't know exactly. If somebody is trapped in a flood then 12 km is a long way to rescue someone. Hope engineers have done this homework.
