Brilliantly played demonstrations of those presets. I think a lot of digital ink is spilled online about the "low polyphony, filter, VA sources, clunky interface". An instrument is what you make and play of it. All of these are brilliant and thanks very much for offering these for us all. Hopefully there will be more to come! That minute long jam is really inspiring too.
I know nothing about programming "init patches" on the micro. I've had 2... but I generally use real analog stuff, so I never learned. You did a great job, & Id love to know not only how to get presets, but how I can get in there & make & save my own stuff. I'm sure there's tutorials, I'm just lazy & a real analog synth is just so much easier to me lol. But man, are they finicky especially on the road. I need to use the micro & the mininova more. 👍
One of the rare Microkorg "Vintage Gold Limitted edition" I think it looks much nicer than the regular ones, it has brown keys insted of black keys, and the top panel is metallic gold too. It will be a classic in the futur.☕🎹
Hey I know it might be a lot but is there any chance you could make the patches individual syx files? I have the bank downloaded on Mac but for some reason when uploading all the patches at once through SysEx Librarian makes my microkorg flip out. It ends up jumbling a bunch of the patches and only uploading a few of them. If you could make them individually I’d be able to upload them. Sorry if it’s a big request.
@@TPLS2 drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aGoW09ocb1aui8wxX983HhRV4Wx_9WW9 try this link, I did the 1st 8 patches individually and its working when I try to transfer back to the keyboard. sorry, ive tried to load the syx file using sysex librarian from osx into a mk1 microkorg but it doesnt work, i disabled protection and the E-E part, changed local to off, clock to external, the midi interface reads in and out, but when i click on the play button it shows its sending it, even midi monitor shows the info being sent, but the microkorg shows no changes at all, i dont know what im doing wrong, i tried the microkorg dump setting to see if i can backup and it works well, it shows the square reel and the sysex captures ok, but when sending it doesnt do much any help greatly appreciated!!
Dang..I’ve had problems on mac as well. It always works on windows with that Bome program I put in the description. I can troubleshoot it tomorrow and try to find an alternative way. Sorry about that
It cannot be ruled out that it could be something to do with your audio/MIDI interface. I have read that there are interfaces that can handle MIDI SysEx commands better than others and some can't do it at all. It might make sense to take a closer look at the MIDI specifications of the interface. I would also try to connect just one MIDI cable...Interface out / microkorg in.
@@maxtownsley i have tested with the new interface and It just set all the voices to a same one, i dowloaded the korg original syx from the website and It restored ok, i think the file in the drive Is bad or corrupted, tried several times already
I'm on Mac, is there any way to just transfer over specific patches. I was going to use the sys file but I think it would overwrite all the patches that I currently have on my MicroKorg when I would just like to take a few and put them in specific spots. Thanks
Try Laser Mammoth, a website that works on Chrome. I believe you can upload the whole sysex file there and then individually transfer specific ones to your keyboard. I’ll also look into making the individual patches their individual sysex files. Somebody else has asked about as well

I wish I had that mapped out like that.... i think there maybe a software that can take the sys ex files and convert it to text but im not sure\
