    I just wanted to say I'm by no means a pipe fitter, there are things I would have done different and there are a few mistakes in here as well, thanks for watching

      You're a good pipe fitter in my opinion. Sometimes you don't need 200 years of experience, instead you need the right mindset and the right experience. You have both. Onwards and upwards my friend.

    Great video, brings back good memories of pipe fitting. 👍
    One little tip, when you’re putting flange joints together, first put the two bottom bolts in loose then, you can drop the gasket in and it won’t fall out while you put the top bolts in …

    Im glad you got this uploaded. 👍 I have done quite a lot of steel in the last few years. I worked with a pipefitter for a little while and he taught me more in 2 weeks than i learned in 20 years previously. Keep it up. Great attitude. 👍 I dont know where you are in the country but if you ever want a hand on some of this bigger stuff I would be willing to help.

    Great video Tom, that brings back a lot of memories of when we got the heating job on a new wing on a big Nursing Home by the coast. There was a lot of malleable iron used on the job and I was the one who was left to do the cutting and threading for most of the pipes.

    It’s always more difficult when you take on a variety of work types. And being competitive as well as professional and profitable whilst literally taking on whatever comes along. I’ve had nearly half a century in this game Buddy and just want to say bloody well done and keep,it up. Maybe try and get a bit more you time. The fact that you are so self critical just shows you care about what you do and that never goes away. Have a great New Year 🤘😎🤘

      @PlumbLikeTom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the support as always Wayne, I always get nervous when I post jobs like these because I'm out of my comfort zone. It really does help me though because I learn when people say what I've done slightly wrong or could have done better.
      It's always tough to have a work life balance. I went out to a boiler at a care home yesterday where I only look after the plumbing, It was in a right mess and had only just been serviced by the regular guy. I got is sorted but they now want me to go round and check all the other boilers on every site in the New year, it will keep my service guy busy for a couple weeks plus I will now likely get all the boiler swaps there and maintenance, that one job has lead to lots more work. It is hard to say no to jobs but knowing which ones to do and what to turn away is difficult

      A pipe flange bar is better for a flange and you want 3 bolts in before fitting the gasket so it doesn’t fall through. Podger the holes and tighten a bolt to keep alignment before putting last bolt in.
