Thanks for the work you put into the video. I'm also running a 4690 with a 1060 6GB and this video has convinced me to put off building a new PC for a while. Everything here seems to look good enough in a 1080P 45 FPS kind of way. For the amount of time I put into PC gaming it isn't worth $2000 for modest gains in overall playability. These days, it seems like minimum system requirements are a suggestion and you can usually get away with having less. Back in the day, you often needed to meet the suggested requirements or better to have any fun. Minimum requirements meant the game might load if you were lucky and you could technically play the game since it "would run" at 2 FPS.
i built my i5 4670 + gtx 1060 6gb +16gb ram back in 2014 ....still working like charm as a backup pc ... my current built is 12600k + 4060 ti + 32gb ram built in 2022...
This setup is so cheap to build, literally in December 2024 on Facebook marketplace is a Dell optiplex with 4590, 8gb ram, 500gb hdd with windows 10, 500w psu and DVD drive for $30!!! some guy musta bought a bunch in bulk, and a 1060 6gb for $40!! (from another seller of course) Basically about as much as a used ps4 fat all together, with performance rivaling an Xbox one x, not just limited to steam, but this setup will effortlessly run pcsx2, cemu, citra and dolphin as well, and a very decent amount of xenia and rpcs3 games too. That's why I love PC, ironically for emulators 😂❤
was all these played on ssd or hdd , i have a similar rig but i have 12gb of ram and 1070 . but when i play battlefield 2042 on the lowest setting its runs like dogshit and i dont know why :(
@@mehdinour7560 how are they the same? Gpu wise even a desktop 1060 3gb is a lot slower than my 1060 6gb so im not sure how a laptop 1060 3gb will be on par with mine

I recently saw a video of a guy bulding a optiplex 9020 MT with a RTX 4060 best case would be to switch to 1440p for that right? So the demand can go on to the gpu and not the cpu correct?
Hey, I have a question, how much are you supposed to earn on the platform or do you have a job outside of YT, because looking at the platform's benchmarks, it is inhumane to spend so much for so few visits that they barely return the minimum

Are you running with 16gb of ram? I have the same system but with 8gb and I get 60-80 fps on CS2.
Should have read the discription my bad
yep 2x8gb 1600mhz
