I personally always had really bad depression. I was diagnosed with major depression and ADHD. I saw my phycyatrist and he gave me anti depression meds, and a therpaist. Throughout this time I've gone through a lot of bad moments and I'm so happy I'm alive right now and I want to thank you cory for being funny and cheering me up at times. Thank you so much
That must be terrible!! I was diagnosed with moderate depression, anxiety, and OCD but major depression!? Nope. I already hate being diagnosed with 3 disorders and still worry about my weight and looks. Wish you best of luck.

Hey Cory, it's hard being the best TH-camr out there. I mean it too. You truly are the best. My daughter watches your videos and being the good mom I am (GET IT!) I've seen quite a few. I am not into games so it's interesting that your videos I even find entertaining. But listen, you got to take time for you. I'm a fashion designer professionally since 2001. Being creative, wanting people to love what you create can be taxing. Man forget that it's stressful. But you know what you have connected with people on the internet and that's mad powerful. Honestly I'm proud of you for being this vulnerable. Do your vlogs so people who are feeling the same things know how real you are. I've noticed so many TH-camrs these days feel pressured to upload whatever is popular or trendy, and they get depressed because they aren't making content they enjoy themselves. But honestly, in my opinion the most loyal subscribers and the ones you should be listening to the most are around because of YOU. Not solely because you play all the cool games, but because they genuinely enjoy you as the person you are. What they care about most is to see you, regardless of the content of the video. I would count myself as one of these people. I think soooo many TH-camrs don't realize this.

I can’t express enough how much this was needed... I don’t want to take the highlight from the people battling even more dangerous degrees of depression. I started to lose motivation to do college semesters ago and at this point, I’m so afraid to lose it all and disappoint my family and loved ones. I’m always stressed out and I can’t even remember a time where I wasn’t stressed to do good at everything. I came to realize just today and after an excruciating breakdown that... it’s ok to take a time off... it’s ok to take a break from things and relax, recharge and learn to breath and live again. I may not know any of you, but I know that I don’t want anyone to feel the same way that I did. So please, take care of yourselves and take a break when it gets too much.

I do have depression and other disorders that I'm not gonna get into right now ,but Cory you have helped me through the rough times in life. It's been really hard to get up in the morning and to feel happy and energetic. I sometimes don't even wanna wake up and I start to lose interest in things I use to love and cared about. I just want to end it all to take away all the pain and suffering I feel everyday. But then I realize that you care about me and you don't even know me. Thank you so much, Cory for making this video. I love how you address these issues and are doing your best to spread positivity in the world. This may sound cliche, but we need more people like you. I've been going through some rough stuff for a while, and it's helpful to have someone who is in your corner, and believes in you. To anybody struggling with mental health issues, stress, or even going through some economic hardships, or struggles at work or in school. Just know, it will get better, there will always be people who are here to help you, and you are never alone. Be sure to take care of yourselves, and be kind to yourself, as well as others. Cory, trust me. The type of videos you make, whether it's a horror game, or a vlog like this doesn't matter. To some people, they would watch the video, and storm the comments complaining, "Cory why didn't you play more Detroit?" Or "Where's the Coryxcooking at?" Those people aren't true samurai. The true samurai, all though hard to find, will always be there. No matter what case. Even if it's a genre of game that we don't like, we watch it to see you. To hear you. To some of us, you are our inspiration. For me, the favorite part of my day, whether it's going to six flags, or buying crap on amazon, is sitting down, unwinding, and listening to your always amazing videos. Cory, when I'm sad, you make me happy. When I'm happy, you make me happier. The true samurai will be there for you, and sit through the whole "I'm Back" stream. All because of the person you are. So whatever video you post won't matter. All that matters is that you're there. That's all we need.

Cory, I’ve been battling depression for 3 years. I remember watching your video on suicide. And that encouraged me, you made me feel extremely happy. And I could space out everything else. I have these suicidal thoughts, and have so much anxiety and feel so empty. I hope I can recover really soon. Thank you for bringing up this important topic, this really helped me again. Schooldays are so hard for me. I've stayed home from school almost 20% of the year, I just can't go. Some days I can't even get up from my bed, and it sucks. I also get "anxiety attacs" sometimes which makes me hurt myself and others, both pysically and mentally. But recently I've been feeling a lot better, especially by watching ur videos. I am so freaking happy that you're back, I love u so much. Your videos never fail to make me laugh or have a good time, and I am sooo greatful for that. Even though I'll never meet you in person it feels like I know you as a close friend.

Tbh, Cory I think you are one of my favorite youtubers, I remember the first video that I saw from you was the cheese burger from Cooking with Kenshin and I thought was very good edited and funny, so I start seeing your other videos and I like them. I think you are one of the best youtubers that don't use ''bad words'' and inapropiate language. This video speaks volumes bro. I’ve been dealing with depression on and off for the past two years. I get into moods where I can go crazy with making and editing videos but then I fall into the trap where I feel like none of its worth it so I end up leaving for a while, same as you. I appreciate videos like this though. It helps and let’s me know that there are other people that deal with same thing and that I’m not completely alone. Much Love man! Peace, Love and Positivy! ✌🏾

It's been hard for people in life going to depression especially at the point to commit suicide. Its really nice to have a youtuber who really cares about his subscribers. Cory is my number 1 favorite youtuber. His videos always have a way to cheer someone up and laugh when they are down. Keep up with the positivity man! That goes for everybody else!

Kev Cruz yeah I'm 13 and my teeth are pretty messed up but I don't have ectodermia displacing. I also upload but people thought I looked stupid on camera I started to see Cory take breaks and I thought maybe I could do that too so I stopped. Even though my friends didn't like my vids I had subs that did. Because I wasn't uploading I started losing subs when I realized I tried to get them back but not all came back. this message that Cory made showed me I shouldn't care what my "friends" think, it's my channel not theirs that's my thought
I had to take a semester off of college because I needed to deal with my mental health. It was such a hard decision because honestly at first I felt like I was a failure for feeling depressed. But I had to go to therapy and get help because I knew if I kept letting my depression get worse I might get to a point where I commit suicide. Getting help is what saved my life. And it's genuinely hard to admit sometimes when you need help, but trust me. When you start getting help, things will get better. Even if it takes a while and takes you multiple times, you can get better.

Bro, we getchu we qetchu... we understand if you need support, a chill pill or other stuff. Put your health first before TH-cam, once you feel more healthy and more relaxed you can be happy with what you do! We might get angry but always put you, and family first before everything else. We all understand if you need that break that lasts a “few” months or that delay on vids, the people who care about the person and not the game will understand that you need that break, that you need that chill, that you need that time to heal, on the inside and outside. My friend was struggling with stuff with school, she went through some tough times like cutting and ya know... that stuff, I helped her as much as I could and here she still is, walking to school with me, walking towards our futures as friends!
