You pay all that money for a vehicle. And then you to up grade the security of the vehicle. Why dont they fit much better security. Some cars and vans are so easy to get in its ridiculous.
So there is no traditional code ie: maiden name, favorite colour, etc. It is based on what buttons you press, and how many times you press them? Many thanks
There is no codes, no locks which can save the vehicles from car thieves. Only way to protect your vehicle is to lock it in secure locked Garage, these codes and tricks are this is just a waste of money.
No theft device is 100 % but you are just trying to prevent the theft and the thieves from taking your car and moving on to the next car. Plus a locked garage is good idea when your at home yes but no good when your away from it. Also a visual deterrent is a good thing to like a dam good steering lock and finally a RFID key box. None of these precautions are mega expensive compared to the cost of your expensive car or it’s insurance if it does get stolen. But if you do none of the above and it does get stolen then don’t complain.
I installed a Ghost II and thieves took it in 3 minutes from my driveway. Ghost II say they will give you their money back but I have not been able to get in touch with them either by phone or email. My next Jeep will be locked in an alarmed garage. I will utilize brake and steering wheel locks, hood lock plus a different alarm combination mobilizer that will warn me my vehicle has been compromised including tilt detection. If I go on vacation I will remove the battery and one tire. Also I will never leave it in a plaza for more than 20 minutes. Thieves will actually follow you around waiting for you to go into a mall. I figure 20 minutes will not be long enough to break the locks and steal the car. Also I recommend if you do go into a store to wait 2 minutes and come out and check your vehicle.
Hi @spidartanks on this particular vehicle our customer requested a no start immobiliser. If you have a look at most of our other videos we have a version of this immobiliser which allows for remote start and as you mentioned do an engine kill on selection of gear.

Hi do you know if this immobiliser voids the manufacturer warranty for a bmw?
Warrantee is different with every dealer so it is best to check before having one installed. However we have not had a warrantee void to date.

This is stupid - can’t use remote start
Why don’t you we it up to the gear box - so that when a drive gear is selected it kills the engine
