Mumbai’s First Cafe Run By People With Developmental Disabilities | TN Plus

Café Arpan is Mumbai’s first café that is almost entirely run by adults with developmental disabilities like autism, Down syndrome and other and intellectual disabilities.
Inaugurated on 2nd August 2018, Café Arpan is serviced by a team of 21 specially-abled adults, supported by a manager and two kitchen assistants.
The café is one of the many initiatives of Yash Charitable Trust, a Mumbai-based NGO with a vision to enable people with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live and work in the community of their choice with dignity and self-respect.
