People always gonna hate. If you have good stats they'll talk about ascetics, if your fun to watch they'll talk about stats, if you carry a bad team they'll talk about trophies, if you play for a good club you get "carried". Fact of the matter theres no pleasing people.

I think both Robben and Salah are selfish players that tend to choke more than half of the time. They both are very selfish, both had flops in champions league finals, both are fast paced dribbles who seem to shoot only. Not creative play makers. Both are mid aesthetically speaking. Both had good teams and could have won more trophies. Especially the champions league and international. Honestly I would not have these two in my team.

Not so black and white. I'm an Arsenal supporter, and I watched every game he played with us. People have argued about since 2014. He started well enough and had one amazing season and then his form tanked. Always was hot and cold - 'On his day, blah, blah, blah'. It was said Wenger would even let him pick his battles, Aaron Ramsey made a joke about it at one point. People like guys like him so much that they just don't want to accept that he simply wasn't great anymore.
When City defeated us 3-1 some years back, KDB said they knew it was like playing against 7 men when they had the ball in our half because the guys up top (Aubemeyang, Lacazette and Ozil) would not do anything defensively. Years before that Thomas Muller alluded to it when Bayern defeated us in the CL, and their chairman straight out called him out (Uli Hoeness). Every team and manager knew this about him and took advantage of it. Usually, I find it's non supporters saying he was this perfect player for us, but that's because they didn't actually watch him play, week in week out for 90 minutes.

Might be me being a Bayern fan, but I always saw what he provided to the club. Be it the noticeable turnaround of form, the moment he first stepped foot on the pitch, to him pulling apart opponents with ribery on the other side, to the moments of utter brilliance we got to see every season. His goal against united is still my personal favorite goal ever. It was so climactic to that rebuild era and was the moment, that made you realize Bayern was back among the best in the world again.

This may be an illusion, but I feel like if we look back 10/15 years ago, football blessed us way more with amazing wingers. They were so talented that they could offer us regularly "One show man" appearances. Alexis Sanchez, Di Maria, Neymar , Douglas Costa, Robben, Ribery, Hazard, Dybala, Shaqiri, Bale, Reus... Same for the striker position and dribbly Midfielders à la Modric, Pogba are also pretty rare. As well as metronome players à la Kroos, Xabi Alonso, ...

I am a Bayern Fan and grew up watching their CL games. I can assure you that Robben‘s best individual season was the 09/10 season where Bayern barely lost the triple to inter Milan. He was crazy, constantly scoring amazing solo goals, long range shots, and Bayern were only in the final becasue of him. He scored against fiorentina one of the best CL goals ever and then again against ManU his famous goal, and against Lyon of course again. Then 10/11 and 11/12 were the seasons where he flopped in clutch moments (he was still mostly brilliant though when playing), and from 12/13 onwards he was more consistent and less selfish, however he wasn’t as individually brilliant as in 09/10. I think you should have talked about it, because you make it sound like he didn’t have a great season before the CL win.

Robben is seen to most people as the greatest winger of this time, greater than hazard bale and salah due to his nigh unstoppable run between 2012 to 2014.
If they ever make a movie about yhe Spanish dominance of football in 21st century, Robben would be the final boss that would pop out at the end of the movie. For a lot of people, the 7-0 defeat pf Barcelona and 5-1 to spain, both orchestrated heavily by Robben, are the moments where it was collectively acknowledged that the golden Spanish midfield is not invincible.
Also, I feel like you're wayy understating just how lethal Robben was in the 2014 world cup. He played soo undisputedly well that at the time fans genuinely disputed Messi's potm award. Robben even set an amazing record: most number of Man of the match in a single world cup (5) which was broken by Messi himself in 2022. And since the world cup is the biggest stage of football for most football fans around the globe, Robben doing that in 2014 earned him the good will over the likes of hazard and salah, who never did that

Judging Salah on WC is kinda dumb. He's Egyptian. Egypt don't go far in the WC. Hell at times they don't even qualify. Best comparison is UCL. At Roma, they did a remontada vs Barca and he lit up Serie A. When he got injured in the final, Liverpool stopped clicking but in the 2019 final: which he played the full 90, he scored. He carried that form onto the next year and they won the league that year. 21/22 they could have won a quadruple but got one upped by City in the league on the last day and lost the UCL to Madrid. So yeah. Salah's better considering Robben played in La Liga vs Prime Messi and was meh.

He is a lazy bum, he got injured at the age of 28 and decided he didn’t wanna recover.
5 whole years, if he wasn’t lazy he could’ve been doing what Messi was doing at 33.
Also he’s always been a lazy bum, his teammates keep on saying he basically never trained and just did well in games. Well that lazy bum didn’t train, his body caught up to him and he couldn’t put the work in to recover.
This isn’t just a hazard thing, there’s other players in other sports who didn’t take care of their body and left the top level much earlier than they should’ve. Dwight Howard is one of them, ate like shit, was pretty good but in his later years his body suffered, however instead of his sitting down and giving up he did change himself and got on a better diet and started taking care of his body.
Messi was injury prone in the beginning of his career, and actually that same injury that was holding him back in his early years is finally catching up to him at the age of 37. But he worked hard, he fixed his diet and started training more, I mean it’s well known and there’s videos of Messi puking during games, his diet was bad, he had a reoccurring injury, but guess what? His longevity is one of the things he’s known for now, he prolonged his career way longer than most players and at a high level too.
Hazard, is talented, he was one of the best prem players for a couple of years. But is he a lazy bum who retired at the age of 28? Yeah. He didn’t even try to fix himself, and people say: “oh well the pandemic or something, and he couldn’t get proper care” no that’s not what happened, he joined Real Madrid in 2018, he got injured in preseason and basically never recovered, two years before the pandemic.
So in conclusion, was hazard a good player in his prime? Yeah. But is hazard a lazy bum? Yes, and there’s videos of his former teammates saying so. And him not being still good or even playing by 33 is a major factor as to why people consider him a lazy bum. I mean 2018 was so long ago. In almost 3 years it’ll be 10 years ago. (It’s gonna be 2025 soon so 3 years it’ll be 2028)

Can we stop pretending Salah is a winger when he is clearly a wide forward. Salah is obviously a great player underrated by many, but what happens is his fans always compare his Stats to actual wingers and try to imply he the best winger ever. Wingers were conventionally a form of attacking midfielder who played out wide and started deeper up the pitch, think of players like Giggs, Beckham, Figo, Robben, Ribery and Hazard. Salah is a wide forward which is a form of striker who plays out wide, like Mbappe, he should have better attacking stats than midfielders but it doesn't mean he's a better player than them, there just playing in different positions. Some of this just due to tactical changes, with fullbacks playing a lot of the role of the historical winger. Bale started as a more conventional winger then developed into a wide forward as his career progressed, sometimes switching between these roles.

Since the 22/23 season Salah has played more wide and hugged the wing
As pep lijnders puted it " I want mo to play wide on the touch lines as it helps stretching opposition defences"
And also another reason was for Trent Alexander Arnold to invert and Darwin nunez arrival
If you remember at the beginning of that season mo salah was being criticized for the lack of goals despite being europes highest big chances creator
And he continued to be so till now
Whats really great about him this season is despite his new role my man is getting a lot of open play goals and wonders as well

I'm a city fan, but Arsenal get hatewatched. They literally came second two seasons in a row. I understand some fans are delusional but if u watch Manda's content he is for sure not. Recently without odegaard they play much worse. Tbh i dont think hes as good as people give on, lacking in big moments and not having that game deciding factor, however if u watch him, he is one of the best technical players in the prem, and gives amazing creative output.
