The atmosphere of this game is honestly unmatched. Especially when every map towards the end of the round became a wasteland.

The atmosphere in this game man it still has a unique taste reminds me of stuff like Division one running in the streets with the dense fog. Legit would get paranoid in game cuz of how quiet it got in certain areas on like a flank or something on conquest

Such a good game. Please play more. Wish there were enough players to get on some of the DLC maps. Edit: Hopped on recently and had one of my best games ever on Operations. 60 kills 25 deaths and 28,000 points running support class. Ended up failing to attack after 3 battalions because our team couldn’t take the objectives

That place Montegrappa is not far from where I live, been there a few times; there are countless war stories from that place, those monumental rocks witnessed some very harsh fighting between the Italian Alpini Corps and the Austro-Hungarian Army. Bf1 truly is a great game.

this game still years ahead of BFV and BF2042, Graphics, environment, the ambiance and especially the sounds are unbeatable.
If they did a ww2 reskin of bf1, it would have been perfect. How did we never get a good d day operation?
Bf1 with bf5 movement and shooting would’ve been god like.

@@SuperSwordoftruth i feel it is mostly admired by those who got into bf series when bf1 came out. The gunplay over there is insanely arcady. The super class pickups from battlefront just don't belong to bf, the grenade spam is probably the worst in entire series. Maybe it is a good game, but it not a good battlefield game by any means...
The tone & atmosphere of this game is unmatched. Imagine if they copied this over into 2042. It would've been a blockbuster success.
I feel like 2042 is just almost there. If they bottled some of this excitement and poured it on there it'd make it a bit less tedious to play.

We didnt realize we were in the peak of Battlefield until it was already over. Looking back, this game will always be the Battlefield experience for me.
If only we knew it would be the last good battlefield..

True! Plus not many people wanted WW1/2 shooters at this time, Cod WW2 included. Both turned out to be really good.

this game was so underrated. i didn’t like the idea of going back in time before release but they did a great job with this.

@@antonwulp It kinda was at the time, it got lot more appreciation after BF5 release. The only flaws was the poor customization, like they were limited but not that limited, they could have done more in a BF4 way.

I just got it and it far surpasses many games coming out in 2022. This feels like a timeless game.

This game is a classic. One of the greatest multiplayer experiences I have had. Especially in its prime when people would use the charge whistles at the beginning of a operations match.

My favorite part of BF1 was the field guns
As a sniper I love sniping people through the peep hole of the field guns
BF1 was the last battlefield my and all of my friends bought and played together, and genuinely had fun and looked forward to playing more of. God I miss this game
Played this last night with a friend, and it was the most I've laughed and enjoyed myself in battlefield for awhile
I am back on BF1. I fell in love with it again, still looks great. I like the vehicle vs vehicle battles. Navy vs navy on Heligoland. The frantic close quarters on the maps that are infantry only.

Monte Grappa Operations has gotta be one of the hardest maps to attack successfully; I rarely get to the 2nd map of this operation because of how stubborn the Austrians are in those bunker objectives

That end of round music on Monte Grappa and Argonne Forest is so good. It's so exhilarating when it's playing for a final push at the end of a round.
I have not seen the video fully but I agree BF1 deserved better recognition.

They got the balance right for bf1 … I wasn’t happy about not getting another modern shooter to follow up bf4, but I played it everyday through its cycle because of the immersive experience … great soundtrack too
Lmao bf1 was the most unbalanced game I’ve ever played. Some guns were just way too OP and shouldn’t have even existed in the game.

@@emp437 The M1917 Telescopic wasn't that OP tbh. Sure it was a laser beam, but literally any LMG with a bipod (or Tripod in the Perino Optical's case) was a laser beam.

Many Battlefield Moments were birthed from this game for me, one of my personal favorites. Been playing since BF3.

When this game originally dropped I had my reservations about it being set in WWI, and all that came with getting yet another World War game. But they did an incredible job with this game, the player movement, weapons, vehicles all felt good. My biggest issue though was the shift to vehicle spawns (I understand why they did it) but there was always something great about taking off and landing on the airfields that added to the gameplay so much. Was hard to see this franchise shift to how BFV and BF2042 failed after playing it since the original BF1942 on PC.

Monte grappa was my favourite bf1 map for using the attack plane. Great for bombing runs over the hills and I knew every AA position to take them out. Such a great game

Like imagine BF4 with movement like BF5, color gameplay audio environment, and that beautiful hit sound when you kill someone, combined with BF4 maps guns and customisation? That's the game we deserve for having to live through BF5 and 2042.

Loved this game. Only game i have ever been able to sniper ok on. Warzone is close but this is my favourite game of all bf and cod games.

They should honestly give this one final update, sine more rifles like the Turkish 1903 and the kar98az, just a lil nod to all us playing. It released in 2016 and still has active players, amazing.
With their current dev team, there’s no way I would want them to even touch this masterpiece.

The maps, the atmosphere, the guns sounds. Just perfect. The new devs at DICE working on 2042 and beyond have a lot to learn about how to make such an amazing game.
