I recall a vacation when I was about 16. Went to Ruidoso. It was so beautiful.
Tried skiing. This native Texan couldn't do it.
Almost got frostbite.

I’ve watched moonrise 4 times over the weekend. I would fall asleep at 3am and start it all the way back over. Loved it so much!

my family of six took a trip from Houston to Orlando and we drove pulling our camper, my sister was three months old and we also had a puppy ,so what would have taken about 18hrs took 24hrs because we had to stop every 2 hrs for my mom to feed the baby. it was also in a truck that size but it had a bench seat in the front and i had to sit in the middle
I LOVE on the fly videos because it shows you guys in a natural light. Epic is awesome, but we don't need epic all the time. We love you guys ALL the time.
Not a strange video at all! Basically details every road trip my wife and I took our boys on when they were growing up! 22 and 18 yrs old now! Fun times!
Just so you know, I don't think you could make a bad video if you tried. You guys have been so kind throughout the year sharing your lives and have made us better people for it. Holy guacamole!! I have not found very many people that have been to Underwood’s before!! I’m originally from Abilene but live in Albuquerque now. I hope the Underwood’s was as amazing as I remember it. If y’all are traveling through Albuquerque on the way at back, my wife and I would love to invite y’all to church with us at Sagebrush.

Brownwood and Underwood’s was a staple for my family growing up, it was the closest “big city” to our tiny little town. I admit I wasn’t the biggest fan as a child but it was only because I was a picky eater. Anyway, I loved this episode! It was one of my favorites actually. Have a great vacay, Smiths!
Underwood’s!!! Yes!!! I am from Brownwood, Underwood’s Cafeteria is an institution around here. I’ve been going there since birth. Highly recommend! ❤

Always nice to have Family Time. We took a 9 hour drive from Ohio to Tennessee with two toddlers under 4 and expecting baby 3 in January. Happy New Year 🎆
Don't apologize, seeing family time is always great. My parents and I will be out tomorrow and Saturday, driving for Door Dash, then spending time together after. We've still not seen Moonrise, so unless it's just hopping, we're hopeful to be in by about 6 on Saturday, cook up snacks and watch the movie. Happy New Year all and may God bless you.

Hey guys. I mentioned Anaheim Jacks in Ruidoso, but ya'll said you are going to White Sands. If you go US 82 East, out of Alamogordo, there is a neat place about 30 miles or so, called The Apple Barn. It has a variety of things, but alot of old timer stuff, such as Paper Dolls for girls. Not Barbie Dolls, but Paper Dolls. They have different types of fudge, and ice cream too. In Alto, NM there is The Alto Cafe. It stays pretty busy and not alot of parking, but if you can get in, they have good food also. Just throwing out some places you might wanna add to your list of things to do. Lol. Have fun and Have A Happy New Year.
I used to work for clarion hotels they are top notch of the choice hotels! I’m retired now but I still stay at them when we travel..❤❤

We stayed in Roswell on our way to Colorado this summer and our kids loved it!! There are some fun alien activities!! Los Cerritos mexican restaurant- soooo good!

Hey I understand completely why you left Maverick with his Grandmothers who will absolutely treasure this time with him! He'll be happy and it is good to spend time with the older kids because obviously you ALL will be free to do so much more without a baby to care for and being a mother myself it's very nice to be able to join in on the fun sometimes! We Live in Cloudcroft New Mexico, you need stop and shop in our cute little shops. While you are at it, stop by our house for coffee, friendship, and maybe even some FUN playing in the snow!

The REASON for most stations have “please pay inside” is because they have had lots and lots of people who have stolen the gas.
I don't know about Ruidoso but I stayed in Ruidoso Downs a few years back and bought a lamp at White Mountain Pottery. Went to the horse track and also saw a roping competition that was going on at the time we were there. Spent a day at White Sands and also went to the Smokey the Bear Historical Park (well worth it). Hope you all have a fun time and see you next video in the new year.

This was a great episode I agree with Paul it was great seeing you all together as a family seeing the road trip. Just curious when you have a road trip as a family: Do you sing songs or play games?
