Great review, made my decision on what to buy. This was the best review that I have came across by far. Most show assembly no in action... seems pretty strong to cut into wood on the 0 degree nozzle..

It’s a good item. I just got this model and have used it to power wash my entire house. It’s reliable and did a nice job. Much easier than a gas version.

I bought one and for me, it's not the best for concrete although it can clean it just takes a bit of patience. now anything else and it works absolutely great. glad I bought it!
Yeah it's a little slow on concrete for sure. But you get what you're paying for I think. You can spend a couple hundred more on a gas one and go faster, but I don't mind going a little slower since I'm only doing my property. If I was doing a whole bunch of properties or had a business I would get a gas one.

I purchased this exact pressure washer last year. My deck is huge and had ground in dirt and grime. It took me about 5 days to get the entire deck cleaned on, however,m this pressure washer did an outstanding job.
You have got to realize and understand that I had no previous experience in using a pressure washer.
I was surprised at how clean the deck and railing became. I might have held the hose to close to the deck, because there were times when it appeared that in addition to the dirt and grime coming up, I could see splinters of the wood coming up.
I also had a problem with attaching the water hose to the machine, I had to use slip pliers.
I eventually sent for the circular attachment that might have helped with getting the deck cleaner and in less time.
I have yet to use this attachment. It is still in the box in my workshop.
I plan to use the pressure washer in washing my cars and getting the windows clean.
For my use this is an ideal machine. I was extremely pleased and happy.
Yes it can definitely splinter wood, depending on the nozzle. The red nozzle definitely will. My deck is plastic decking on the floor, and it needs washed every year. It gets really nasty. This pressure washer does the trick. I'm curious how you like the circular attachment. I actually just got an extension wand for mine to make it longer so I can get to more of my siding. and not have to bend over when I'm doing the ground. I'm going to make a review video on the extension wand when it gets warmer.

Just bought the washer (this video was part of my decision...thanks!). So far only used it on aluminum siding but it worked great.
BTW the hardware store sells 3 foot lengths of garden hose. I got one of those and keep it permanently attached to the front so I don't need to mess with that plastic fitting at all after the first hookup.
A leader hose, that's a great idea! You could even put a quick connect on the end of it to speed up the connection process. Glad you like it. Made this video 3 years ago and still love it! Use it all the time.
Seems like this is the best budget pressure washer out there at the moment!

Brought one of these and am using it this week. I have found mine works better on deep stains when I keep the spray parallel to the surface. I see you had the same results. Not a bad pressure washer for the price. I will use this one more frequently than the big gas one.

I have this model and it does a good job for the price. I recently added the UFO head attachment and it saves a lot of time doing the sidewalk and driveway.

I got one and used it on my cool deck today. It worked great cleaning off heavy black mildew. Hope it keeps running because I can think of many more uses for it. Heck, it can pay for itself in one use. Pressure washing companies are charging primarily for the labor. It's expensive to hire someone. By the end of the day I was tired.
It will definitely save you money to have one yourself! It is work dragging the hose around, etc. I'm getting an extension wand I think so I don't have to bend over at all, and reach higher siding!

Really? I'm sorry. I know Amazon sells them. I used mine again since my last post. I did a ribbon of brick work, my front portico and concrete paver walkway. The only thing I don't like is dripping from the connection of the hose to the product itself. Perhaps I need a better washer. But the dripping was not enough to compromise pressure. I got mine through Home Depot in the US. Perhaps you can find a comparable product in the EU? Take care!
Just cleaned my vinyl fence today, and siding of house... excellent washer..very easy too assemble... light weight.. recommend the green tip for siding, fencing etc..

You did a nice job with this video, lots of examples of the machine in action without a lot of blah, blah. blah. If you haven't done so already. look into getting a turbo nozzle, they work great on concrete and decks. For that machine I would recommend a 2.5 or 3.0 orifice, or give Sun Joe a call and see what they recommend.
Okay, now you have me looking at these turbo nozzles online and I am intrigued. I may have to try one of these. I also just got the extension wand for mine. I'm going to do a little review on that soon.

I just bought this and used it to wash my car. I’m not the best when it comes to mechanical things. It was pretty easy to put together. I kept getting the hose, pressure washer tube, and electrical cord tangled up. The hose would not stay connected and I had to retighten it a few times. Some how I got air in the pressure washer and it kept changing speeds. Again, I am not very mechanical. It worked good. I’d give it a 7 out of 10 for my first use. I plan to use it to clean my BBQ, the side of my house, and other stuff. I’m happy with it.

Thank you, sir. And I don't blame you. Apparently now you can order a brass replacement for that piece, but it should have just came with it!
I don't have one of these to know if there is something very special about the supply water hose connector that you did not like, but in general, plastic connectors make a much more reliable connection than typical brass connectors. If you pay $10 for a good brass connector, you can expect it to connect well; however, if it ever leaks, EVER, the water will erode away the brass and the fitting will forever leak. I once ruined a solid brass Craftsman male hose fitting in 30 minutes. Being the male side and being brass I fixed it with a file to remove the brass down to the erosion depth, but the next week I cut the fitting off and replaced it with plastic. If the plastic ever breaks, it is easy to replace. If you ruin the female side of a brass fitting, it's ruined and cannot be repaired. It has to be replaced. I just keep some plastic hose fittings in the garage.
Also replace the flat hose washer with a #15 o-ring for better sealing. I have a bag of #15's in the garage, too. My hoses and sprinklers do not leak.
Good stuff. Thanks for the input. From my experience, it just seems plastic can be cross-threaded a lot easier if you are not paying attention and the plastic warped/cracked. As far as the hose connector on this unit, it is part aluminum and part plastic. So I far I haven't had any problems with it, and hopefully never will. So no complaints yet. Just something that came to my head that could maybe be improved. Good tip on the #15 o-rings. I might have to try that!

And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
Mine's still holding up solid.
I have had an SPX3000 for a couple of years. Recently I realised that a gas powered washer is actually no louder, and the extra power available takes a half day job and makes it under an hour. I think it is better to spend more money and work less. The SPX3000 is 2030 PSI X 1.6 GPM = 3248 cleaning units. Compare for example a 4400 PSI X 4.0 GPM =17600 cu, and you can see why raising the budget really saves you 80% to 90% of your time. True, gas is a problem to leave around and electric is maintenance-free, but what a difference.
Gas machines are definitely more powerful. You always pay with something, either your money or your time. I have very limited storage space, so the smaller machine plays a role for me as well.
So I typically want to buy things like this that last a long time and are built well. I had a gas powered 2800psi unit from Lowes (Honda engine) that seized up and never ran quite right. Was always sputtering the water pressure... should have taken it back years ago when I got it. Anyway, started looking for a new electric one as I only use it for a few things from time to time, washing car, cleaning cement (rarely), maybe the house sides from time to time, and hopefully the eves this time around. So looking up the "best electric..." 2019, shows several models, Sun Joe 3000 being one of them. What got me put off on this and other models in the $150 price range vs the one I bought, which is the SPX3501 (3500..just with hose reel in handle), is the motor. The 3501, though it was $230, has the brushless induction motor in it, which after spending an hour or two reading up on that, is a quieter, more capable and much longer lasting motor apparently. Time will tell if that is true. What I really would have bought had I wanted to use this for more commercial work is the Kranzle unit. But man they are expensive!
Those Kranzles are some bad boys, I hear ya on that one. I definitely looked at the SPX3500 as well. It's a little higher PSI, too, just more expensive. I would love to try one to see how much different it is to be worth the money. The brushless motors seem to be all the craze these days. Yes, time will tell if it worth the extra money or not I guess.
This is $124 at Walmart. You should put Dawn dish washing liquid in your containers. Presoak that concrete patio. Then the dirt, mold, grime comes off a lot faster with that yellow tip. My brother has one of these and I just ordered one for myself since it is affordable. I bought Dawn at the dollar store. I put it in and washed the vinyl siding on my house. Then the driveway and side walks. You can order a brass connector for around $7 to go over the plastic one.

That's true. When I filmed this I wasn't using it much for that purpose. But I do now all the time!
After buying this and using it several times, I decided that I would rather spend the extra money and go with something else more powerful. I have to use cleaner and a brush to clean with this model, even on very slight mildew on vinyl siding.
Interesting. It's definitely not the most powerful pressure washer, but I've never had problems like you're describing. I have cleaned some nasty vinyl siding with mine!

dumb question but when you plug your hose into the pressure washer, do you constantly leave the hose running? does it have something that blocks it from overflowing?
Yep, just keep the hose on it until you are finished. Then when you are finished turn it off and it will all drain out!
I have a question.
I am about to buy one today on a Black Friday special and it's an electric Sun Joe, but as I was reading the fine print it says if you return it make sure to empty out the gas tank. I'm like there's a gas tank? Why does it need gasoline if it's electric? And can you use it without gasoline? Thank you.
Ha ha, there is definitely no gas tank on this model. It has an electric motor, so no gas. I'm guessing maybe they had the wrong fine print on there, or they used the same print for all their pressure washers.

For only $8, you can replace the plastic water hose adapter for a brass adapter.

It's just a standard every day pressure washer hose with a coupler so you can combine the hoses , who makes the hose makes no difference since it goes by a standard . Here is a 50 foot one with a coupler so you can combine it with your current hose if you need more than 50 feet .

@@wind5250 This is not always true. Sun Joe uses M22 15 mm connectors and most others, like Greenworks for example, uses M22 14 mm connectors. The one you posted also has 14mm connectors.

What is the voltage range of this machine? Can I use 220V?
The voltage for the Pressure Joe 2,030 psi 1.76 GPM 14.5 Amp Electric Pressure Washer is only 110~120 volts. If you try to use 220~240 volts you will burn the unit up.

The black soap nozzle.
I'm using a foam gun, so not the bottle that comes with it.
@@1baomao You will not need a nozzle with the foam cannon. They have one built in. You will use the foam gun to cover the car with soap, then rinse it off with the black nozzle. Hope that helps.

Most people say that you should use the 40 degree nozzle. Too narrow of a spray can potentially damage the finish - ask me how I know. Also remember, the closer you get the the surface, the more narrow the spray pattern becomes.
how about for cleaning AC units ?
I wouldn't pressure wash an AC unit. Could damage the coil.
A "surface cleaner attachment" works MUCH better on concrete surfaces like that.
I've tried them. It's hit or miss I think. It covers a bigger area but it seems you have to go REALLY slow. The spray nozzle obviously hits smaller area but with more power.
Why do we not hear the machine in this experiment?
If you listen around the 1:41 mark and the 7:30 mark you can definitely hear the electric motor ramping up. I did have the pressure washer behind the camera, so that could be what you are referring to. It is picking up more of the spray. But it runs pretty quiet I would say is the main reason.

Worked pretty much as expected🌼 allabout.wiki/SPX3000 Former machine was a 2700 psi gas machine. This has much less force but better control of spray and easier to get on roof with! Been working it steady now for a week, roof and siding. Starting deck today. So far so good

The Sun Joe SPX4001 2030 PSI 1.76 GPM 14.5 Amp Electric Pressure Washer has a metal frame. It looks less like a child's toy.

I have the spx3001 it also leaks from the bottom. I took it apart and
found a cheap Plastic nut on the bottom of the pump broke and they do
not sell replacement parts for it so you have to through the $180. 00
machine away when this cheap plastic nut breaks. Terrible waste of
money. Don't buy Sunjoe.

Well, yeah it's electric. Definitely doesn't have the power of a gas machine. But it is much cheaper, lighter and pretty convenient.
