Thank you sir appreciate the feedback. I think too many people lock out the tension in the forearms and elbows and put the distal force and pressure into the wrists which causes problems. Hope you are well my friend?
I sympathise with you as I have tennis elbow in my right arm and have had it for over 3 years..can you tell me what prp is? and is there anyone out there can advise with this issues as fed up paying physio that doesn't work
Hi Peter, I’ve investigated every expert to reverse this issue. Starting with ultrasound which shows that tendons have a very poor blood supply so they heal poorly when damaged. To encourage blood supply you can have dry needling, where fine needles are inserted into the tendon to encourage the blood supply. The other alternative is prp where they take blood spin off the plasma and then inject this into the tendon, it has a high degree of success, but not for me Platelet Rich Plasma. The nuclear option is the operation where they scrape or take off the tendon from the bone scrape it and re suture the tendon to the bone, 6 month recuperation. The best physio exercise is loading with pronation and supination with of the wrist flat to a table gradually increasing weight every 2 weeks, exercise 3 times a week with this method. As you can see I have spent £1000’s investigating this issue and will probably have the operation. Hope all the above helps, if you need any more help let me know.
I have both tennis and golfers elbow (medial and lateral tendonitis) in right arm. Lucky me, I’ve had PRP, loading exercises and the final resort is tendon surgery with 6 months recovery. Not sure if anyone has had this issue but if anyone has suggestions let me know !!!
I’m sorry to hear that. 😞 I will say I’ve seen several ways to address this? Thicker grips help the hands stay more neutral with less squeezing tightly. Learn a body oriented approach where you focus on co-ordinating your center of rotation to support you hand action? No violent THRUST or abrupt delivery. I often coach people to soften their elbow bends and create a half release withe wrists and half shock absorbing wither folding of their elbows. Seek some help from a qualified teacher who has some body training and helps with modified approach? Good luck, I hope you find some relief the game needs you
@@DanSchwabeGolfAcademy thanks for your advice, I will have a chat and a few lessons from a pro and see how that goes. I have golf pride midsize soft compound grips and very neutral on the grip. For anyone that has a similar problem never get a steroid injection as my eminent consultant said it actually destroys the tendon and doesn’t fix it !
Nice practice!
