Do you push off back foot? Or how do I get pressure forward. All the weight is on my back leg back shoulder everything and I don’t know how to move it forward
If you wanna just play. Play. If you pay an instructor, theyre going to do what you paid them for and correct your form...
Nothing will help more than just practicing real putting
I wish you all the best Dan, especially in sending your son to college, but you’re over complicating things buddy. I’m a 3.4 h’cap index (UK) and always looking to improve to get to my Nirvana of playing scratch. Can I suggest you have a look at some Mickelson videos, I think he’s a master at giving clear, concise advice. All the best in chasing your goals.
Excellent, this has to be the most important part of the pivot. So much info out there. Gets confusing. Eg: proper right elbow (trail) suppose to make this happen.
Awesome - so nice to see.
Pretty cool journey
Dan - This was great! I tried the pushing off the ground as you showed here (from the grass, not the deck of a cruise ship), and guess what - it worked. I actually managed to par the first hole of the Ocean Course last night.
Hey Dan @DanSchwabeGolfAcademy, long time no see. This is Jeff Murillo from TN HS. Hope you've been doing well and glad to hear your still teaching. Keep it up.
Great motion from the inside 💪
Absolutely
That ball speed is crazy
Great explanation!
Funny cuz it looks like he slices it. Is that the crank driver that dechambeau uses?
Ryan’s been with Crank from the beginning! He cuts and draws it?!! Still hits from the inside on top Amazing to experience the power
Chop
Haha…he’s not a chop! He’s battle some injuries over the last several years but he been playing some great game of as of late?!! Ball goes far
Go Wildcats !
I find it funny that so many teachers talk about all these swing flaws but they never really address equipment. Isn't it possible that if the swing weight is too heavy for a person that they're going to early extend? That they'll potentially get the club below the plane? That they'll flip their hands? The reason I'm asking is because in baseball you have that drag you have that drop you have all these other things that happen if the bat's too heavy for the hitter. Getting off no one ever addresses this and they always just talk about the actual swing flaw. Is it possible that the flaw is caused by the equipment and the person making micro compensations because they feel the club is too heavy for them subconsciously?
It’s a fair question. 75%-80% of the average players who play golf early extend out of posture compared to PGA Tour and LPGA Tour proficient swings. The weight and bat drop is not the same effect. The poor pivot from the trail side and the flattening of the shoulder plane is just not the action. In golf you need to post forward against the front foot and get your low point beyond the golf ball. It’s important to learn to bank the trail foot inward and NOT Squash the bug with the heel up and back as in baseball pivot The transfer of energy in a baseball swing can really help golfers swing fast but it’s important to learn to hit the low and away pitch
And I try to not call them swing flaws? People have tendencies and these tendencies have cause and effects on golf shots? Thanks for your comments. It makes it fun to exchange thoughts with others
@@DanSchwabeGolfAcademy yes but wouldn't some of these tendencies come from having equipment that doesn't fit the person's swing style? Let's say in Little League a kid was using an end-loaded bat but he couldn't swing it correctly because he wasn't strong enough. Would he have swing Tendencies or will he just need to figure out his equipment?
@@DanSchwabeGolfAcademy so to go along with getting to the lead side and using your front foot if the swing weight is too heavy for somebody that club is always going to be late or the person's going to extend to early and thin it because the weight is too heavy in their overcompensating. Doesn't the brain make a tremendous amount of micro compensations because of the implemented they are swinging?
@@DanSchwabeGolfAcademy the difference between the average person and the PGA person is they have a club fitter that specifically fits and makes the clubs that fit around their swing! The average amateur has a salesperson selling them clubs that are going to fit them into those clubs. It's a completely different world so if you're going to take two absolute extremes and say the person is right in the middle as far as athletic build and ability etc. Now if that person swings a club that's an A5 in swing weight that's going to feel completely different than swinging an E5. Regardless of overall weight. Their body is going to move very differently to compensate with what the club is doing in space my point is that what I think we are seeing as swing Tendencies or flaws actually micro compensations because of the Implement that's in their hand
Is that Sharp Park ? Francis & I playing there on Friday !
Yes very good eye my friend!
How does this have 13 likes... you literally just explained it all.
Just trying to share some timeless foundational tips. I want more people excited and inspired to want to play better / more golf?!!
Not amused. 🤔
Just pointing out that this young man is now 18 years old and swings a golf club 125mph which is almost 10 mph faster than PGA Tour avg. Sorry you weren’t entertained?!! Just a glimpse of his history
@DanSchwabeGolfAcademy I'm glad all that training paid off for your son. 🇦🇺✌️
I feel with that pace you’d have the cane putt coming back. Just my thoughts.
Just feel it over the front! It’s a good point but creating experiences with bigger manipulatives can be a great way to make it far less intimidating and help a person develop feel. Also the tennis ball springs off the face so learning to control this type of a practice can really be helpful. If it was a real golf ball your point would be very true
Nice swing kid
Contain club takeaway, right hip back, cross lateral squeeze brake, send it. Nice ship!
?
Front side stability in front of strike. The internal rotation and external rotation of the hips allows for the proper acceleration and deceleration needed later in skill acquisition to swing fast and do it easily! Just an example of planning to develop a kid as a young athlete first and technique later Fun journey with my son and his development
U weird bro
You never stop teaching 😂
Love the aim point intro
Somewhat tongue in cheek but the info is correct! Just wanted to have some fun posting from the Princess Cruise ship to Alaska
Love it. But I can’t get any form back. ( it’s long gone
An example of inexpensive practice with a whiffle ball and less than perfect conditions. If you know what you are training and focusing on, you can practice virtually anywhere and make progress

I’m not seeing a genuine reaction, dan.

Congrats on Turning Pro it’s a hell of a feeling 😎
Such a great young man!! So proud of him

You couldn't help her fool, she's better than you.
Haha! Yep people don’t need any help…she is very good, but together we make a great team! Haha
Beautiful swing !! Good job!!
She’s a special young lady
Good thing there's 40 mile an hour winds pushing it back to the right lol
Actually staying up the left side shortens the attack to that back left flag. If you go right it shapes the hole and angle but makes the shot play even 20yards longer and the ball can be blown off the green back at you. Sometimes there is a benefit to being on a tighter line
Golffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff❤❤
That was a really good swing!!! Im a bit jealous! Hahahahahaha 😂
Fades have more spin so this is not true at all
Not true! It’s the quality of the fade…launch monitors help understand if all things considered…it’s just that an ordinary player’s fade is a swipe. Not trying to argue, just sharing the data
@@DanSchwabeGolfAcademy because of the higher launch of a fade, it has increased spin so it doesn’t roll out as far as
@@DanSchwabeGolfAcademyFades do not go as far. What you said is simply not true.
I won’t in on this speed training
Haha
Hmm... Hit it solid, huh? Here all this time I've been trying to hit it with a weak glancing blow. 🤣
Haha
Man... that move looks great!!! I'm really considering becoming an instructor. Been around the game my whole life and studied plenty of swing theories...
It’s an exciting and fulfilling career. I love what I do and wish you the best in your future! Good luck to you
I have those same golf shoes she has! They're sooooo comfortable
Great swing!
She’s been hitting her driver about 250 yards in the Coastal Bay AreA which equates to some 275-285yard tee shots with warmer climates and firmer turf! Pretty exciting to watch her learn at Green Hilks CC
Harness the energy from the GROUND REACTION FORCE and deliver the speed into the back of the ball as the body is getting lighter?!! I like to call it learning to hit to the speed of light!!! Haha…got to be an entertainer as well?!!
Excellent! Thanks. Im speed training and plateaued a little bit right now. Doesn’t feel like I’m using the ground/legs properly. I wonder how to drill this move into my action.
That was bad...that swimg wont help you play golf....at all
Take a look at the thumb nail to this video! It’s textbook impact! You have no idea what you are talking about if you can’t see the genius of his impact over what happens after impact?!! Just saying sir
Late in the day practice after our round. He was a little out in front of his transition on the course. Came back to the range to harness the transition and hit some absolute bombs! So much fun to work with these amazing athletes! It is extraordinary what they can do?!! Especially with great information and support
