- Thor, the god of celestial powers in Norse mythology is celebrated as the most powerful of the warrior gods.
Among the Scandinavians, he embodies with ardor, victory, valor, strength and agility.
The son of Odin controls the lightning by exciting the storms or by calming them.
Armed with his famous hammer Mjöllnir, this Viking deity creates lightning and protects gods and men from the forces of chaos.
Legend has it that he is opposed to the giants, his enemies, whom he slaughters without mercy.
But this vehemence is not the only attribute of Thor since he is linked to fertility by his power to bring rain as god of the storm.
He is also considered the protector of blacksmiths, craftsmen and peasants.
This piece pays tribute to him in its heroic, grandiloquent dimension, but also with the emotion he arouses in the Vikings, who loved him and feared his wrath.

Hello and welcome to my brand new tribute! This one is dedicated to the mighty Thor, the hammer-wielding Northern God of lightning, thunder, storms, Scandinavian and German incarnation of sacred groves and trees, strength, associated to the protection of mankind.
He is also known for his bounds to hallowing, and fertility!
He is such an important and complex God I wanted to compose a longer piece for Him.

I just can't tell you how happy I am to see a track for the Norse mithology! 🤩 Absolutely love the track, a fierce composition for Thor, the mighty son of Odin, jotunn slayer with his hammer Mjöllnir and god of thunder. He is also the rival of Jörmungandr, the serpent of Midgard, and they fight each other in the Ragnarök. Speaking of which, it would be nice in the future if you would like to do a track for the Ragnarök, like the one you made Battle for Olympus. Hello and thank you so much once again for listening to my tribute :D At first, I had something very raw and tribal, almost shamanic but it lacked power. And then I found the main phrase I use with those horns, thinking the mighty Thor might need more emphasis 😁

Persephone and Demeter are among my favorites! I think I managed to focus on the right things with those tracks especially. Hopefully I'll manage to bring new stuff out without lacking quality 😅😇

@@phillmor1405 Ah but in my opinion, it would have been too obvious. I don't hesitate to use soundesign to add some narrative detail, but when it comes to the main subject, I'd rather use musical expression.
I think it allows anyone who listens to the track, to hear and picture whatever one wants 😉

I was waiting for Patroclus actually , or Hector or Odin . And when I heard it all I had pictures of Patroclus running.. to face the Trojans along with the entire Greek army behind him ...so please PLEASE put 5:03 - 5:53 as it is in Patroclu's theme . Keep at least something from it for the end of Patroclu's theme . I would love those vocals like they sound here but why not also put the same melody but with male vocals . For Patroclus .

Nice job with Thor !!. Excellent instruments . But you still havent learned your lesson ...which means when it comes to the god of thunder YOU HAVE NO THUNDER EFFECTS haha . Hello Travis :) thank you for these very accurate details! I corrected the mention in my description. I must admit I added this myself and was tricked by the memory of... Well you know ;)
As for the red beard, the character I used has one but it's not that red and the chromatic treatment I used put some blue in the image.
Be reassured though, I didn't work on the basis of the things you mention to build my tribute ;)
