Hey i said this before but it was in an older video so you might not have seen it. its really useful to recruit students just to get theyre relics in paralogues. Caspar has a paralogue with mercedes that allows you to get a badass scythe if he fights the death knight and wins Lorenz has a staff that gives lysithea plus two range and can half damage (% = dexterity) Felix gives you a shield that can half damage (% = dexterity) Sylvain gives you the lance of ruin that that emo guy used Ingrid gives you a spear Marianne gives you a sword, no spoilers but i suggest recruiting her Catherine and ashe give you an item that increases movement by 1 Leonie gives you a bow, but the paralogue to get it is really hard I hope this helps

I think the Battle of Eagle and Lion was named becuase historically the empire and kingdom battled there... Still a weird name when there are 3 houses. This battle was kinda hilarious on my new game plus where I recruited all the students possible before this. I think it is generally agreed that Blue Lions is probably the strongest house overall. You also might notice they have the highest number of crest-bearing students. Edelgard and Hubert have some dialogue in the monastery coming up that is unique to this route and really interesting. Please try to talk to them every time you get the chance.
That is exactly why it's called that kinda a dick move when you think about it, its a constant reminder of how the empire got recked by the kingdom as a school tradition.
That RNG, man... Truly the FE experience! But I hope that you will come out stronger, you have been using these devine pulses well. I just hope that you will play the Blue Lion route eventually. It mixes real well with playing Black Eagles first. It's just that routes are super long if you get all the supports, but it's worth it, I promise!
Ingrid is a beast as an enemy in this map. I did Golden Deer Hard Mode, and she just swooped in and demolished Edelgard. Supposedly Ingrid is a lot better in your team if you’re NOT playing Blue Lions. I’d recommend recruiting her for her speed, and to get all the rewards from her paralogue with Dorothea
The reason for Ingrid being better out of blue lions is due to the fact you don't have to deal with her poor early game and you don't get screwed stat screwed from early game level ups.
When you play this map from the Blue Lion's perspective, the colour of the health bars for each enemy match their affiliated house's colour. Always thought that was pretty neat to see. I've seen that specific shot of Edlegard commanding her army forward at 6:10 in so many youtube videos and promotional material it always stands out to me now

In regards to Edelgard being used in TH-cam videos, I used Dimitri’s “For Honour” as a thumbnail for my video on this chapter on the Lions route. But for promotional stuff, the Eagles were heavily advertised for especially game mechanics or so i’m told

I believe that, in the upcoming month, there is a paralogue available - for Sothis - that will increase the number of uses of Divine Pulse. I'd recommend doing it since its reward makes everything else much easier to do.

Hanneman/Manuela: Check with them around during Chapter 8 or Chapter 9, once Byleth is at least Level 15, and both should have the option to be recruited into your group. So to summarize, you have to be over level 15 to recruit the staff. IMPORTANT: If you do not recruit them before the end of Chapter 12, they may not return to be recruited in Part Two. Yeah, enemy Ingrid (and also Petra, just not in this playthrough) are a pain in the ass since their speed stat is real fucking high, so they're straight up dodge tanks. I guess statistically speaking this chapter would be the worst in the Golden Deer route with neither of them recruited, on top of whatever bullshit the Black Eagles and Blue Lions throw your way.

Rng doesn’t change between divine pulses, so if you miss and then divine pulse you want to switch to a move with higher accuracy since otherwise you will never hit if you keep doing moves with the same or lower accuracy. Also the reason why they had random npc’s in the battle is because you recruited the person who would have been there originally. For example since you already recruited Lysthenia, she was replaced by a generic mage on the golden deers team.

Yuri can be a dodge tank sword unit, and he’s got great offensive magic spells if you want him to be Trickster Balthus is just a Brawler, personally don’t invest in any of his magic imo Constance is a magic powerhouse with Bolting and Rescue Hapi has great offensive Dark magic spells and gets warp if you invest in her Faith rank

Ive been doing a draft run of this game, playing Blue Lions, and the Battle of the Eagle and Lion was an absolute slaughter. Im now approaching the second to last battle of the route. The unending slaughter shall soon cease at last.

And had nearly 70 strength walking into the final map. Edelgard is good, but Dimitri is a veritable juggernaut, and an endgame Claude is nearly untouchable.
ah time for my favorite mission in the game, 2:35 hehehehehehehe hahahahahahahahahha you have no idea how funny thats gonna be, 5:00 they are implied to be other students in the respective houses, its more bs you dont get any like that yourself, 8:40 yeah you will learn to fear the Pegasus knights, tip gambits cannot kill units unless its the main target, anyone else will take about half the damage it would do if they were the main target, 16:00 so the game works on a seed system so if you do the same actions when you pulse the results will be the same, so if your unit is gonna miss then even if you change the unit the next move is gonna miss, this means you have to either do something that has 100% accuracy or no accuracy like doing a heal or using a vulnerary, this will reset your RNG seed, so in this mission you did miss out on some items, you will start seeing enemies carrying accessory items, dimitri has a accuracy ring and claude has a evasion ring, you can use a theif to steal item if their speed is higher then the enemies, petra and yuri are great for this, so this mission is the only mission you can directly influence in term of difficulty, if you recruit the other students they will be replaced with commander units instead, these units will be the same class but will not have the same spells, skills or stats, this will mean if you recruited lysethia she is replaced with a warlock that only uses fire as opposed to her dark magics, these replacement also will use gambits but they will not use combat arts like hilda did to you, defeating the most units will just give you that blessed lance, nothing else sadly, 25:00 oh trust me the blue lions has some top tier moments, 26:50 worse imo, the blessed lance is pretty good, its just fragile unfortunately, technically you can recruit shamir when flayn is kidnapped, you must be lvl 15 tho, you can also now get manuela and hanniman, 33:00 oh that goes no where just so you know

Dang, that battle was brutal! It was this one when I was fighting against Black Eagles that Petra soloed half my team. I highly suggest checking out Blue Lion battle intro to Remire Village, if you don't think you'll play other houses. One of the characters is suddenly...quite something. Have you thought of voice acting? I think you may do well.
Should you do the battle next time, be aware that you should be able to look at Jeralt's stats and such. Like his crest (hint, hint). Well, knowing you have no interest in playing another house, allows me to tell you Claude's backstory, when the time is right (since it's kinda important for understanding some thing that will happen).
13:58 in ohter fe games that would be true sadly in three houses the weapon triangle doesnt exist natively your unit needs the axebreaker skill for your thought to be truth and you do have it. which is why hildas accuracy was like 50 instead of like 60-70

I'm pretty sure for the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, if you recruited students from the other houses, like Lysithea, they are replaced with generic soldiers (they did this just in case some crazy player recruited all the students before this point, which is very unlikely unless they had New Game Plus). Also, head's up, the Death Knight will be on the next map, and you should prioritize saving the villagers for goodies. For the goodies involving rescuing the villagers, they are not considered rescued if they are alive at the end of the map for some reason, so you should off the enemies nearby them and the villagers must leave the map for them to count towards the reward.
The best way to tell if it’s a generic replacing a student, they would most likely have a battalion on them, but their name will say “X General” be it Imperial, Kingdom etc. Their skills could be a unique set too compared to generic enemies who might just have basic Prowess skills
5:00 so the battle of eagle and lion was an actual lore event but since the officers academy has 3 houses they figured why exclude the third. let em fight too it will be fun at least this time they are a different color and thus ACTUALLY ATTACK THE OTHER HOUSE TOO

I know I'M amazing, but my students could've used some of those stat boosts that they were handing out to everyone but us.
Keep in mind, your house is the only house that can use Divine Pulse. 😊

If you intend to recruit the Ashen Wolves into the main story, they are all pretty good.
Yuri can be a dodge tank sword unit, and he’s got great offensive magic spells if you want him to be Trickster
Balthus is just a Brawler, personally don’t invest in any of his magic imo
Constance is a magic powerhouse with Bolting and Rescue
Hapi has great offensive Dark magic spells and gets warp if you invest in her Faith rank
Constance absolutely saves me constantly with her bolting one-shots 12 spaces away

Ive been doing a draft run of this game, playing Blue Lions, and the Battle of the Eagle and Lion was an absolute slaughter. Im now approaching the second to last battle of the route. The unending slaughter shall soon cease at last.

@@DeiZeiga when my Dimitri was running around with 35+ strength by the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, is there any other word to describe the situation than a slaughter? And had nearly 70 strength walking into the final map. Edelgard is good, but Dimitri is a veritable juggernaut, and an endgame Claude is nearly untouchable.
ah time for my favorite mission in the game, 2:35 hehehehehehehe hahahahahahahahahha you have no idea how funny thats gonna be, 5:00 they are implied to be other students in the respective houses, its more bs you dont get any like that yourself, 8:40 yeah you will learn to fear the Pegasus knights, tip gambits cannot kill units unless its the main target, anyone else will take about half the damage it would do if they were the main target, 16:00 so the game works on a seed system so if you do the same actions when you pulse the results will be the same, so if your unit is gonna miss then even if you change the unit the next move is gonna miss, this means you have to either do something that has 100% accuracy or no accuracy like doing a heal or using a vulnerary, this will reset your RNG seed, so in this mission you did miss out on some items, you will start seeing enemies carrying accessory items, dimitri has a accuracy ring and claude has a evasion ring, you can use a theif to steal item if their speed is higher then the enemies, petra and yuri are great for this, so this mission is the only mission you can directly influence in term of difficulty, if you recruit the other students they will be replaced with commander units instead, these units will be the same class but will not have the same spells, skills or stats, this will mean if you recruited lysethia she is replaced with a warlock that only uses fire as opposed to her dark magics, these replacement also will use gambits but they will not use combat arts like hilda did to you, defeating the most units will just give you that blessed lance, nothing else sadly, 25:00 oh trust me the blue lions has some top tier moments, 26:50 worse imo, the blessed lance is pretty good, its just fragile unfortunately, technically you can recruit shamir when flayn is kidnapped, you must be lvl 15 tho, you can also now get manuela and hanniman, 33:00 oh that goes no where just so you know

I highly suggest checking out Blue Lion battle intro to Remire Village, if you don't think you'll play other houses. One of the characters is suddenly...quite something.

your unit needs the axebreaker skill for your thought to be truth
and you do have it. which is why hildas accuracy was like 50 instead of like 60-70
If you reclass someone into an armor knight you can get like +10 defense or something and then switch back. Its a crazy boost and helped me a lot.

I'm pretty sure for the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, if you recruited students from the other houses, like Lysithea, they are replaced with generic soldiers (they did this just in case some crazy player recruited all the students before this point, which is very unlikely unless they had New Game Plus).
Also, head's up, the Death Knight will be on the next map, and you should prioritize saving the villagers for goodies. For the goodies involving rescuing the villagers, they are not considered rescued if they are alive at the end of the map for some reason, so you should off the enemies nearby them and the villagers must leave the map for them to count towards the reward.
The best way to tell if it’s a generic replacing a student, they would most likely have a battalion on them, but their name will say “X General” be it Imperial, Kingdom etc. Their skills could be a unique set too compared to generic enemies who might just have basic Prowess skills

You can love the students, but be wary of Edelgard, if that support down at the end of the video is any indication especially regarding the context, you know something is seriously up with her and Hubert
