It's better that you went your own way. Because in mindset, you are small minded. And extremely inferiority complexed. I study in Sweden and Bangaldeshis here tend to hide behind Indians. It is the strangest thing. You need to work on your self confidence and self esteems, it will take you a long way. I feel that is a weak point of Bangladeshi people. Listen,
Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) was full of Resources and wealth. From these resources West Pakistan carried more and served less.
If East Pakistan 100 taka taxed for govt.
Govt would share 5% (5 taka) for east Pakistan. Rest of portion 95 taka(rupee) looted for west Pakistan.
    Its gone for 23 years.
    Bangladesh couldn’t bear such discrimination.
1970 election was Crystal example of discrimination.

Both of the countries claim the area occupied by other in Kashmir but the difference is that's not the priority for us. The priority for India is to become a superpower and sit with Countries like US,UK,China,France and Russia in the UN as a permanent member and have say in world matters. While the only goal pakistan has is to somehow get Kashmir. The Amount spent on Mujahideen and Army could have been spent on Universities and Education Infrastructure. There must be a reason why 35% NASA scientists and 30% engineers in US are indian and not Pakistani? India and Pakistan as Allies would have made great partners but alas you still choose to fight.

Look at the faces of the generals. Generals who claimed to fight to the end and surrendered after just 13 days of fighting. They claimed they would crush India and launched the attacks first and now they're divided into two.
In conclusion : Don't underestimate your enemy, the ones you wish to crush might cut you into two instead.

Nicely done, BBC. This docu was like living through the period which, though brief, gave a gist of what war and the involved people were like. Another point to absorb is the way officers from both militaries behaved. Being a Pakistani, I have respect for the Indian Colonel who arrived in Dhaka and the Indian Chief of Staff, both of which kept the integrity of the failing Pakistani military through their balanced words. This is the true discipline of a well-trained military professionals. Bravo to the BBC reporter for the unbiased reporting. Today we have realized that Gen. Niazi was not a braggadocio but intended to fight till last, but was squarely ordered by Gen. Yahya to surrender. Until today, I thought that Niazi had surrendered as he was a coward.

The Pakistani army had no chance in hell holding on to East Pakistan....A hostile local populace,no logistical support,a very professional and highly motivated Indian army 🪖 outnumbering them, and host of other factors doomed their cause......Even legendary generals like Rommel, Montgomery, Zhukov, Alfonse Juin would never overcome such overwhelming odds.....the-gracious in victory- observations and comments of the Indian Commander sums it up......The Indian army was to a man, magnanimous in their victory and kept up their professional dignity throughout.....Jai Hind❤❤❤❤❤❤

A fantastic documentary, revealing many unknown facts. As reporter said, on the morning of 15th December, ( 21:55 ) General Yahiya Khan conveyed the message to Gen. Niazji to surrender. So, it was not Niazi's cowardly decision to surrender. But he was made the scapegoat.
