There are lot of concerns on how Ṣọ̀ún became the paramount ruler of Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ and its environs. The story of Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ before Ṣọ̀ún as narrated by Pa Amos Adékójọ Ajékìgbé, with reference from Ìwé Ìtàn Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ by Prof. N.D. Oyerinde (1934) and other earlier books tells the account of events to Ṣọ̀ún emergence as the head and ruler of Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́land.
