  • This is an adventure beyond the physical view around some selected locations in Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́, as collated by AIF MEDIA.
    "Lówe-lówe làá lu ìlù àgídìgbo; ọlọ́gbọ́n ní í jó o, ọ̀mọ̀ràn ní mọ̀ ọ́. "
The Àgídìgbo drum is beaten proverbially; the wise dances to it and the sage understands it.
Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ (not Ògbómọ̀shọ́ or otherwise) is a Yorùbá city known as an area of Savanna, and farmland in Ọ̀yọ́ State, South-western Nigeria. It is a trading centre for an agricultural region with five local governments area and seven local council development authorities.
It is a city next to Ìlọrin, Òṣogbo, Ìkòyí and Ọ̀yọ́ with many urban, rural and semi-urban communities. The Ọ̀yọ́ - Ìlọrin road is the main highway of the city.
Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ was founded in the mid 17th century, and it was a minor outpost of the (Yorùbá) Old Ọ̀yọ́ Empire until the beginning of the Muslim Fulani conquests of Ọ̀yọ́ in the early 19th century. It had approximately 504,000 population in the 2018 census.
Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ royal palace had a resident tortoise which was accepted to have lived for 344 years. The arguably oldest tortoise in the world, named Alàgbà, which means the elderly one, died after a brief illness in 2019.
In Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́, locally grown cotton is used for weaving the Yorùbá traditional cloth, aṣọ òkè; and a type of it known as sányán, a cloth woven from silk.
In the ancient time, the town is known for its wood artifacts and unique kòso drums, a type of drum specifically played for Sàngọ́. They also engaged themselves in fighting wars, and other professions like the indigo dyeing of cloth, which is performed exclusively by women.

Ẹ ṣeun púpọ̀. Thank you for joining us.
We've received comment from people asking us for this song's meaning and relevance to this production. We understand many may not understand the precise wordings of this song because it was sang by foreign artist. However, it is a prayer for light and guidance on our path.
PS: We trust you've subscribed to this channel, if not consider doing so. Thank you.

This music is too loud and not fitting for a documentary and showcasing dumpsites an stagnant streams is needless, no one would appreciate seeing dirt for the most part the documentary.

What is the essence of this video? Are you trying to say Ogbomoso is all about dumpsites and dirty water bodies? Or you are trying to say the government abandons the town? Or those are the cultural centres in the town? I don't understand. I clicked to see my town but all you're showing are places that are not pleasant to the eyes.

Thank you for your concern and kind reply.
You probably can't understand the message of this video with the precise physical message of those locations. That's why we call it 'Adventure Beyond Physical World. '
It is beyond your physical perception.
Check this playlist as an hint to what those locations are all about: th-cam.com/play/PLh0navM_hhzNsAGr7TpZzl5HTd9F6_kIP.html
We have other beautiful compilations on Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ that you might want to see, like Ogun O Jalu Ogbomoso, The Return of Ogundare Foyanmu, and others.
      Ẹ ṣeun púpọ̀.

@@aifmedia Whatever you are trying to portray - physical, spiritual, culture or heritage - you need to go and learn how to professionally do documentaries to enlighten or educate people. So that you don't need to be saying: 'You probably can't understand the message of this video'. I could not find anywhere in your description where you clearly stated that the video is for the initiated (awo) and not for 'ogberi' like me. The whole of your description makes sense more than the video.
