- Tamera Mowry-Housley is opening up about life after leaving ‘The Real,’ following a seven-year stint as a co-host on the daytime talk show. The 42-year-old actress tells ET’s Deidre Behar how she’s doing since announcing her departure in July, and shares updates on her friendships with her former co-hosts, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon and Loni Love. Tamera even praises her longtime friend Garcelle Beauvais, who joined the series in August. The ‘Sister, Sister’ star is looking forward to her new chapter in life, living in Napa with her husband, Adam Housley, and their two kids, Aden and Ariah. The family owns and operates a vineyard and tasting room, and Tamera speaks to the ‘peace’ she’s found as a result of this new endeavor and moving away from Hollywood. Tamera is also making it a point to prioritize her health and wellness by doing regular Zumba exercise classes, leading up to World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10. She tells ET she’s almost back to her pre-pregnancy weight and explains her approach to weight-loss and living a balanced lifestyle.

She was arguably the most sensible cohost. People think its Jeannie but Jeannie can be arrogant sometimes. Tamera actually is informative and kind hearted and wise. She will be missed sorely. Irreplaceable. Love her. Wish her best of luck being a stay at home mom and venturing in other things. Had no idea she was producing a movie.

Jeannie can be arrogant and entitled when she speaks and Tamera was always solid and mature. She's slept on because she's 'boring'

I love Tamera but she is quite arrogant and stuck up as well. It wasn't so much with the things she would say but moreso with her facial expressions. Anytime anyone said something she didn't like (Ex: When Naya Rivera discussed her abortion) she made hardcore facial expression. Not to mention she kinda has the "I'm a devout Christian, therefore I'm better than you" complex. Everyone for the most part in the show was the farthest from anything real.
Tia and Tamera should host their own tv talk show.

@Rodney Norman I don't blame them for doing most things apart. In their interviews, they say they struggled a lot to find their individual identities as adults. And people always thought of them as a pair. That's why they decided to do things apart to develop individual identities.

This is the detestable part of media however, Tamera was a class act.
It's crazy how I watched this woman and her twin sister as a child and now my kid watches reruns of them thinking its brand new.
I remember getting a tv in my room for the first time, it was reruns then though in 2003 but I lived for sister sister! Flipped out when I saw it was on Netflix!!

Although I’m probably not a target in their demographics, I am a straight African-American male in my mid 50’s, I’ve been watching The Real for years and I will definitely miss what Tamera brought to the table. To be honest I probably won’t be watching as often anymore.

Tamera has a very unique presence to her. She’s very calculated but in a very innocent way that’s rather adorable to see. Wishing her the very best on her ventures that I’m sure she will do amazing things on or off the screen 🙌🏼✊🏼

No, it’s a classic.
It was happening, both were on board, signed the documents but is was halted due "clearance" issues. Both girls were upset but not sure if they are still working towards a reboot.
I think The tragedy of the bar shooting that happened with her family a few years back was a big reason why she didn't renew her contract too

Amanda wasn’t on the Shia that long. She and the three ladies have a real bond, relationship, friendships.
But I always got the vibe she didn’t like, really care for Amanda. I never seen her stand by or in photos next to Amanda. They never really had interaction with one another.

Idk if that is true but the way they live and behave aren't necessarily compatible. U don't have to be just like your friends but I do need to be compatible with them.

I’ll miss her on the real but I’m happy for her and felt genuinely happy for her when she announced she was leaving (friend in my head I guess). I can relate to her being a working mom. I Always thought she seemed like such a hard working person and always thought I don’t know how she does it. Although I work like crazy, have 2 kids similar in age to hers and have kids doing online learning. So I’m always looking for that balance myself. Very relatable.
