Stop calling yourself dumb! That's no way to talk to my friend! Loving the tour, lots of things I'll dream of having! I love the way your kitchen is too! I do love how all our bottom "cabinets" are pull-out drawers! But it wouldn't work for Caraway stuff, alas (not that I can get them right now anyway). I definitely have kitchen envy!! It's so gorgeous! I miss my spice drawer! Now they all have to stand up! THey're still alphabetical, but they aren't as pretty that way,
I love your videos for so many reasons. First, there's no obnoxious music playing (thank, thank you!!). Secondly, your content is great and you know what your viewers are interested in seeing. And Thirdly, you are just so very interesting and present information in a logical and user-friendly way. I really enjoy your videos and the great organizational tips you share. Nice! We have an extremely tiny kitchen, and make it work for now...but I can't wait to have more space someday...and have lots of nice gadgets...that I will actually use! I cook all the time!
That was so fun to watch also as someone who uses and cooks in her kitchen constantly, it’s nice to see where you put things! Also I love the utility drawer idea, it was stunningly organized compared to ours, gotta get to work! Excited to get some more bins for storage, and maybe try making some spice blends sometime also!
Girl, you're gonna have to drop some recipes! Lol. I know you've told us your chicken seasoning one and some dressings for salads in some vlogs, but I am a Nosy Nancy and I want to know about all of the yummy things you eat 😆
This was the very best video! Seeing a how a hardworking practical kitchen is organized is soooooo helpful and refreshing! I also don’t have an “aesthetic” fridge or kitchen because we cook and avoid processed foods! Thank you!
Those deep pantry cupboards. You always forget what is in the back because you can see it. And you have to pull everything out to get what is in the back. Small things I put in bins. I did install a pull out wood drawer at the bottom, that is snacks and crackers. At 5’ and 70s big heavy bins and storing heavy appliances in cupboards is out. In this kitchen I have 7 narrow drawers, like 9”. I designed this kitchen, pretty much. I put in 2 sinks in 2 different locations in the kitchen. One is in my prep area, a bar sink think they called it. The other, regular size sink is across the room next to the dishwasher. That was done to avoid my husband and I clashing in the same space trying to do our own thing. Normally he cleans and I cook. Still, we have clashes, him putting dishes away or in the dish washer and I am cooking or trying to get a dish that I need. Biggest fail, I specified 4’ cabinets, but failed to specify 4 shelves per cabinet. Of course, I can’t reach much above the bottom shelf. I collect depression glass and yellow ware, so I have a lot of dishes.
I have the same cabinets and pulls! I'm installing a new backsplash too! 😂 Kitchen twins! Guess I need to get some caraway pans ❤. Thanks for the tour. I always get inspired by your space to improve my own.
Great video! I love your kitchen so much! So pretty and I love a white kitchen! The ceiling is a beautiful detail! I especially love all the organization you have in it! Very inspiring!! Thanks so much for sharing!
Great video my friend! Made me feel a bit nostalgic thinking about all the different kitchens you’ve had over the years. Good ideas too (I need that spin brush in my life). Love and cuddles to the Bean! 🥰 🐶
My kitchen had one overhead cabinet and i actually removed it lol. It was in a corner and looked so awkward and honestly useless because it was hard to get stuff in the back. After removing, the kitchen looked brighter! So excited to get ideas because im so annoyed at how i typically store things lol.
We have one of those dishwasher magnets but never know if it's telling the 'truth.' SO my husband and I set the rule that the person who OPENS THE DISHWASHER MUST TURN AT LEAST ONE CUP UPRIGHT (almost always we just turn over all of them). This way we can tell, visually, that the dishes are clean plus the cup bottoms that always accumulate water are turned and can start drying, along with any other dishes that need to air dry some more. Works for us.
Me too! Mine always says Dirty. I nrver remember to switch it. I look inside and see if the soap dispenser is opened. I never fill it without putting soap in, so that's how I can tell if they are clean or not.
My fav was the cheese drawer lol, I like how everything is organized! I have a very cool spacious 1960s(ish?) kitchen. But can never get the grout completely clean! I’ve tried bleach and steam cleaners too. I don’t like the divider in my sink either, but I don’t want to sacrifice the pretty tile. I should repaint the sink again though. I sometimes wish I had a dishwasher or garbage disposal but if I wash dishes every day it’s not too bad, and having a mesh strain drainer helps.
Love your kitchen. Nothing in mine works. I moved in with my inlaws to care for them, and it's all their stuff, and I hate it. But, we do what we have to do.
Love your kitchen! My kitchen is working maybe 60% of the time. I changed 2 lower cabinets to all pullout drawers which really helps bc I have MS and struggling to get down low and reach into deep cabinets - no. I have a decent pantry but I feel like I need to come up with a better system. In 2020 I got bins to corral like food and take advantage of shelf depth. I’ve been decluttering a bit every few months and that’s helping tremendously! I’m inspired again to tackle it this Fall, so thank you!
I also put red pepper with the Rs but we also have ground. So within themselves they are in ABC so crushed comes first and then ground. lol I think I have Thyme like that too.
We rented a house with a truly tiny kitchen. My hobby is cooking, particularly French pastries. What made it more doable for us was the following: Using the hall closet as a pantry Putting in a pot rack over the stove Getting a caddy to hold flatware (no drawers) Getting a wall mounted dish rack Pegboard for tools Having a rustic dining table so you have prep space Good luck!
I love your kitchen. I adore the easy solutions you share. I love that you use and do what works for you - surely THE key component for successful organization..... You are a delightful, fresh breeze in my week, dear Kay!
Love your kitchen tours! Some of the best advice I got from you was to not have a “junk” drawer. I got rid of the junk drawer & never looked back. I have a “utility” drawer in another room for “miscellaneous” items & tools and it’s much more practical and contained than my previous junk drawer which truly had junk in it lol. Also setting up zones in the kitchen 👌 Would love to see how you use your large spin brush. I bought one because it seemed like a great idea but I feel like I struggle using it.
I just watched your GET ORGANIZED HQ video… loved it!!! You provided so much information and inspiration. Thank you. Even though I loved everything, the nugget I needed to hear was… WHAT IS THE PROBLEM YOU ARE TRYING TO SOLVE. Yeah, I already knew that WAY back in corner of my brain, but I needed those exact words today as I’m planning out my next 90-day schedule. Hope it was ok for me to mention your video here. If not, let me know and I’ll delete this. Thanks again for sharing so much information on ENTRYWAY ORGANIZATION!!
Disclaimer at the beginning was super unnecessary, but I get it, some people can be nasty. We're here for the organizing and Clover footage ❤❤ The nasties can get out of here! I really need to rework my zones. My kitchen has things in off places to ensure appliances are plugged in, but my SIL is convincing me to ditch some of them in favor of an air fryer 😅 As for magneted oven mitts, I just put a magnet hook on the side of my oven. i found some very strong ones on Amazon, they're simple and black. I never considered having magnets inside of the kitchen soft goods, can they be removed for washing? You could also sew a little square of fabric, a pocket, onto your mitts and slide a little magnet in if you find ones you love that match your aesthetic.
I’m an alphabetical freak with spices. I definitely agree that crushed red pepper should be filed under red pepper. Because when you go to look for it in your cabinet you just think red pepper. 👍🏻 but I did notice that your tumeric came before thyme. Also cumin ground should go before seed and garam before garlic. I love that I’m not the only one who does that. My kids always thought I was a little odd. But hey when you’re going to look for a spice you don’t got time to be searching. Most people know their alphabet so I think it makes it easier to get what you need. Unfortunately I don’t have a drawer I can put spices in. I have to use a cabinet And therefore it makes it a little more difficult. But that’s about all I have that’s organized. You need to come to El Paso and show me a thing or two. 😀
Loved this video, made some notes for my new kitchen :) What type of shelving is in your stair pantry? Looks like it will fit perfectly in an awkward space in my new home
My under stairwell pantry is the current issue. LIke yourself, we do a lot of cooking at home, but our kitchen is tiny, so we have to make use of this pantry for food storage, large bakeware, water bottles, etc. We also have our recyclables bin on the floor. It is full to the point things are always falling off the shelves and it's very messy. I use the bakeware to contain some things. We just outfitted the door of the pantry with wire shelves and that did help a little but not enough. Not sure how I'm going to deal with it.
Yes! I'll be sure to take some footage for the vlog channel. It's really handy as it cuts around the pit. I still eat whatever flesh is left on the pit before I start to cut the rest lol
I love seeing your kitchen. Why? It's a REAL kitchen for someone who loves to cook. I am so tired of seeing kitchens with one plate and cup per household member...one spatula etc. I have a fully stocked kitchen as well. It makes my cooking life easier and therefore, more enjoyable. FYI...you MUST try the reusable scrub cloths (for washing dishes etc) from Maker’s. I used to use the non-scratching sponges and once I tried their cloths...I am not going back!
💯 turn tables ❤️ them. 😊 🦉. I have modular set not in a drawer but on a shelf because I live with family currently and have a small area. 😎 dish rack. ❤️ stashed bag . I have a Stanley cupboard from CVS from their valentine day sale. 💯 I also have my 🏠 to much to carry around. I use a smaller reusable bottle. 🎉 tomato brand . 😂 cabinet above the refrigerator. When I lived in my own apartment. I would use it for storage for items not use a lot.
I'd love to get drawer handles like the ones you've got for my kitchen but i know FOR A FACT that as a shorty shortwoman I'm gonna get the gut loops of my pants caught on the handle corners every time I walk through the kitchen and pull all the drawers and cupboards open as I walk around.
I have searched online. Where did you find the spice blend recipe "Hot Green Blend" as a substitute for Lake Shore Drive or Fox Point seasoning? Thank you
I would say that with going carnivore I have a lot of things I'm just not using anymore. Not in a hurry to get rid of anything yet, as I didn't need to buy anything special so everything still fits where it is. Plus my husband does not eat the same things as me.

It was always the junk drawer in our house, but we’ve started calling it the Drawer of Requirements. 😂
OMG that’s hilarious I love it 😂
