Love the driver bike check series. It´s what I typically show friends to tell them: It doesn´t matter what your budget is for as long as you get your ass on a mtb and ride with us^^
Haha, when I lived in NZ I remember riding a few times with the Chromag guy called Charlie and his wife, great folks. Wierd recognising them here ten years later, now I'm in the UK and he's in Vancouver. He still had a Chromag then - that's loyalty!
Love seeing so many bikes that are a good few years old still going strong and being ridden regularly. With cycling/MTB media focusing on the new releases each year is easy to forget that for most people, a 5+ year old bike will do just fine!
That's what I'm saying, too. So sick of mtb videos about the newest, hottest, blah, blah, blah and how the latest parts and geometry are the only things that will get you from one end of the trail to the other. It's refreshing to see a video with no industry hype and all just real riders on real bikes. It's a nice mix out here in the real world.
@@TheCharleseye it's interesting to see normal people mountain biking instead of just dentists and lawyers, because when I go to a local XC race, I see 5000$ bikes everywhere except for some children
@@diviscadilek1764 The one thing I'm glad to see from this bike shortage is that more new riders have had to buy used bikes before succumbing to all of the marketing noise about the "new hotness." A person _can_ buy a sub-$1000 bike and ride their local trails. No new rider is "under biked" with a 10+ year old Specialized, Kona, etc. that's in decent shape. I'm really hoping that this will create a big enough segment of the market to make bike companies add more budget-friendly options. I haven't bought a "new" bike in two decades, yet I've spent tens of thousands of dollars on bikes and components in that time. You'd think at least one of these bike companies would want in on that money - instead of letting it all go to component manufacturers and random sellers on PinkBike/eBay.
Tom! You asked what you should ask next? Nothing more then what you just did, thanks for keeping the stoke alive and showing the riders that are out there every day representing the sport we all love.
@@denismacfarlane255 amazing bike man! I had a Rocky Mountain Slayer SS in the Wade Simmons Signature Edition from 2008! That bike looked so nice, I should’ve never sold it. The attention to detail on the little decals was insane, little comic wades jumping out of helicopters and over trucks etc! I wish I could attach pictures here to show you how beautiful it was!

Buy as much bike as possible for yourself right now, because you’ll want the really good bikes you see other people riding for the exact same reasons they decided they had to own one.”
Love the normal bike bike-checks. The best bike is the one you're on. When the boarders open come south and hang out at one of the Seattle local spots on a weekend - Tiger/Raging. Bike of all types.
The video is very interesting. We know more or less the machines that earthly people have, not people who have a sponsor behind them. My congratulations.
What a great idea, every time I see videos from the NS you never see the locals...Love how laidback everybody looks, and casual as well... Where I come from people seem more preoccupied with what they wear (brands wise), kinda dumb

To think while I was in Vancouver for culinary school in 1998-1999, that a guy from the east coast of the United States could ride the North Shore on a rigid frame mountain bike with a 66mm front fork, and strive. Watching this I have to ask myself if I was crazy? The bike by the way was a 10th Anniversary Fat Chance with 26 inch wheels and Specialized Super 8 tires.
Great feature and always enjoyed them. For future maybe Fullerton Loop in Fullerton, California. Local trail with all sorts of people hiking and riding bikes. Great melting pot of folks and definitely not the mecca but great mix.
come to LA! you'll see a lot of wild stuff near el caballero canyon, I see people of those old school beach cruiser looking mtbs, the ones with the backpedal brakes???
