Has it been stated if you are shooting with a unit that has the "ignores cover" key words will fog of war still apply or will the unit still ignore cover?
Hey Trevvy. Just wanted to let you know how I got on in the tournament I was in last sunday. Won 1, lost 1 narrowly and solidly beaten in my 3rd and came 12th out of 22 players. I mostly got things right but did forget a few things especially towards the end of the day but the mistakes also hurt me as well as helped so I think I did pretty well. It was a lot of fun though! Thanks for your kind words bro. I've the new mission cards on order so I'm looking forward to trying them out.
It very much feels like Secondaries are much less important. I’m not sacrificing a squad of marines to gain 2 points, when the Primary Objective is worth 5…
Shatter cohesion caps at 40 primary total so it won't automatically outscore and the opponent would need to be behind or equal on primary at the end of turn 3 to pick it. Cull the horde might be avoided by running 19 unless they forbid that in FAQ or something, and many other armies used to struggle to not give up full assassination or bring it down. Tyranids now kinda join the club there. Admittedly though, Tyranids could use a buff rather than a nerf and bring it down just got a whole lot less punishing
Not sure I'd say essentially unchanged for Purge the Foe and Scorched Earth. Not being able to gain kill more turn 1 is a big change. And for Scorched Earth there's no cap on how many objectives you van scorch
1:17 reserves place during the battle in the 1st round were already able to come back in you first turn if you were second player... nothing new here, it was already allowed :)
@@TacticalTortoise Yes indeed, but it was FAQed that armies with special army rules (like Grey knights) to put back units in strategic reserve at the end of the opponent player, were already allowed to come back in the first round if you were the second player
I just want to mention that Ive pretty much had the Blackout mod a few times just because it was so fkn dark. I got into a mission at peak night time I guess and I genuinely needed my flashlight and could not see more than like 5 feet in front of me. It was terminds, so the buggers were jumping out of the darkness and I commented to my friends that it was genuinely like a horror game until some light started to show up lol
"Most competitive events in the world will be using this". It will be interesting to see how for example American football, League of Legends and chess tournaments will adapt to this 😛
Prepared Positions specifically does not allow you to duplicate the stratagem.
Good catch! I totally misread the last clause of the card
Thx for the review Trevy 👊🏼
Man I wish they'd gotten rid of the ritual but whatever :/
It's better the way its retooled I've liked playing it in the past

Where can I NOT find leaked images on reddit?
As a blood angels player, I fully intend to maintain the strategy of "they can't score if they have no models left. And I can score no problem

1:38 So, can the Centurion do the trick?
Shatter Cohesion + Cull the horde = Endless Swarm never wins a tournament again
Just run units of 19 models

@thetimebinder yeah thats getting f.a.q'd asap
This is exactly what I needed
Helpful overview!
Scorched earth changed a lot. Whoever is going second can just scorch the table bottom of 5 for a massive point jump

Didn't mention that some secondaries are broken and have to fixed day one.
1:17 reserves place during the battle in the 1st round were already able to come back in you first turn if you were second player... nothing new here, it was already allowed :)
Strategic Reserves were specifically excluded before (because the core rules state they cannot arrive in BR1); that's the change here.

Big fan of fixed objectives being more viable.
My canoptek list is going to hurt in some of these
you can't perform actions while battle-shocked, so does that mean if i battle-shock you mid terraform, is it then over..
No, they clearly state it isn't the case.
Gonna keep playing leviathan :) theyre fine cards even if we dont use half
What do you not put in the deck
You can remove chilling rain if you want, but if we just want a simpler game we're still gonna do it

I need clarification for my Hypercrypt necrons it can be critical, but I think they will allow it.
the secret missions dont seem great, they're supposed to be if you're on the backfoot but they require you to have really good board supremacy
Looks so much more confusing
Oh shit my membership ran out better fix that
GW making my purchase worthless and meaningless, say it is not so. It is Not like i did not spend more money than i should have for it.

Fabiano Caruana will be devastating once he gets the ability to deepstrike a rook first turn as black
So then this will drastically limit the Firestorm assault force from being used to rapidly get on objectives? Or are their caveats I’m missing?
Did the Reserves rule nerf the already garbage Stormlance Enhancement "Hunters Instinct"?
