Hi!! I use this lamp all the time for my designs ( I post on Instagram though, rarely on TH-cam, so there you can see the designs and how this works) and I've been using this lamp since when I posted this video and I've had no problems with any gels. Just make sure that the lamp you get, (doesn't have to be this exact one) has enough "power" like this one has 48W and it will cure all gels.
Can u use any gel brand polishes with this? I’ve been on amazon for 4 hours literally trying to decide whether or not to buy this and if so, what other items do I need to get started? Which brand of gel polishes, what buffers, base and too coats, etc?
Nails By Ersi That’s the thing lol, I don’t know the difference? I’m just wanting to DJ it at home for myself on my regular nails, nothing special, just painted, if that makes sense?
I see a lot of reviews and they’re using swatches? Is that just to show the viewers? Also, can u please help me and explain the difference? If I just want to paint my nails with gel so I can keep them for a week or two without them peeling off then what do I need to buy?
@@genahebert4 okay ,so there is a difference between "gels" and gel polishes. "Gels" is a term referred to the gel that is held in a small pot, usually used by nail technicians when you go to a nail salon. Gel polishes are more beginner friendly. To paint your nails and make them last a while you need: 1. To push back the cuticles (with a cuticle pusher) and cut them (with a cuticle cuter) / or if you don't want to cut them, you can use a liquid that is applied to the cuticles to soften them and then you scrape off the dead tissue of the cuticle. (It looks dangerous but it's not. If you have never cut your cuticles, probably leave them like they are because it will seem kinda hard to make it right. It's not a big problem if you don't deal with the cuticles. 2. You need to wipe your nails with alcohol or acetone so you remove the oils from the nail. 3. Use a nail file to give your nails the shape that you want, and use a buffer to go over your nails until they don't look so shiny (oils make them shiny) . 4. I would suggest a primer or dehydrator if you were using whatever kind of gel: gel polishes or gel pots ,but I don't think you need to buy them at this time. 5. Select a brand and buy a base gel polish, the color of gel polish that you want, and a top coat. Top coats come in 2 forms: a top coat that you cure in the lamp and you're done; and a top coat that after you cure it, you need to wipe the top of the nail with alcohol because it leaves a sticky layer. I would reccomend a Non Wipe Top Coat so you don't need to wipe anything. 6. Get a uv/led lamp as they can cure anything. I would suggest you a nail brand that I have used a lot and I know their quality;they are based in USA ,and I also have a code you can use in their website to get some more free stuff. DM me on instagram at @nails.by.ersi so I can forward you their IG page. Also, one last thing. If you want to "get something on your nails" so they don't break but still look pretty, you have a product called Dip Powder. This brand that I'm talking has really popular dip powders. The instructions on how to use them are really easy. I can make a video on them if you want to see step by step how to use them. If you use Dip Powders, you don't need to buy gels or lamps. You only need a dip powder kit which is relatively much cheaper compared to gels. Again, dm me on IG so I can find the best deal on this brand and also another brand that I've used. And also let me know if you need a video on Dip Powders so you can see how easy they are to use. xx, Ersi.
Nails By Ersi Omg, thank you so much I really appreciate it… Yes I was using dip while I was going to get my nails done for the last couple years I have used dip powder… But every time I go I am dissatisfied with the way they do it because they do it too thick… But since I can’t go there I was going to start doing them at home so I already bought the sunuv 4 lamp, and I’ve already started looking at foundations and top coats I was going to get the Gelish brand since everyone seems to think it’s really good… Also you don’t have to wipe the topcoat I don’t think… I can paint pretty good and I can shape and do cuticles, I just have never messed with gel polishes at home..I don’t know if I could do the dip on my own but I would like to see how you would do that… I have already ordered the lamp so I would like to try the gel but yes I will dm u on Instagram and I appreciate your help so much!
I am thinking about buying this product as a gift.. does it work only on permanent gel nail polish ? does it also dry any regular / ordinary (not permanent) nail polishes as well ? Thanks..
Mertay Oner Hello! This is actually the lamp that I always use when I do gel nails on myself or my friends. This is a gel nail lamp so it dries gel polishes or nail gels. The regular nail polishes are not meant for these lamps because they can get dry by themselves. So, my advice, if your friend (for whom you would like to buy the gift for) is into gel nails ( also called as permanent) then get this lamp as it is so worth it. If your friend is into regular nail polishes, then go for something else. I would suggest one of the nail polish collections from Pretty Woman NYC as they have the best regular nail polishes I’ve used and they really last. I hope this helped. :)
In my opinion, yes. I use this lamp every day and it works perfectly fine. Sorry that I don't have a code for you to use for this specific lamp (so you could get it cheaper) but all my gel polishes, nail drill, you can get them in great quality but also really affordable in missubeautynetwork.com and you can use code "ERSI10" to save money. They also offer free shipping on orders. And you can find nail lamp in this website as well😊 if you need help on finding good products to use, you can DM me anytime on instagram at nails.by.ersi where I post all my nail art as well. Have a great day!
