Paris has gone to a lot of work to troubleshoot for y'all! Thank you goes to her, remember to thank her. #1 Guys there are no short cuts in candle making, period!!! You have to test and test religiously! I do all the time. It pays to keep accurate notes on everything you do. Keep a notebook. Track every batch. Write down every part of your process. The kind and amount of wax. The fragrance load and where you bought it. The temperatures you melted to, added fragrance and at what temp you poured at. How long you stirred to combine wax and fragrance, how far apart they were when solidifying, how long you cured. Always put a lid on your jars during curing to lock in fragrance. No lid? Put a board over them while they cure. Then heat seal them in polypropylene bags.. ( shrink wrap) to seal in fragrance. These are just a few things you should be doing. Along with everything Paris has already taught you. You can achieve your goals. Candle making is a science. You can't shatter the rules and expect to achieve success. I'll tell you something Noone else will. If you don't love the science of candle making, get out it's not for you. Find another source of income. If you think candle making is scientific, don't try soap making or skin care. Your dealing with multiple chemicals or chemical reactions! These fields of expertise aren't for the faint hearted! If you do enjoy the art, there are always people to help. However, you have to do the work of testing. No one can do it for you! Good luck to all the people who have joined the candle makers club. Welcome aboard to an awesome adventure! PS: Hi Paris!
I've never made a candle of any kind but w/sink holes, would it help to put the jars in warm water as you pour or have the jars warmed b4 you pour to prevent the sinking & cracking? I understand the heat gun but would my suggestions wrk? Does it make sense?
I’m in the process of starting my own candle business and I just wanted to say thank you for your videos! You’re so relatable and keep it real! Thank you for sharing all the tips and tricks, they’re greatly appreciated.
I really appreciate your videos - I have been binge-watching all week just trying to soak up as much information as I can in order to start my Candle Business. Thank you Sis
I have a soap business and vanillin also affects color. Just started making candles for personal use after coming across one of your videos. Blessings and thanks for sharing .
This is just an all around awesome video, thank you for posting. I just ordered all of my supplies and I can’t wait to get started for the first time...I pray I can acquire customers once I master candle making...I believe watching this video will save me time😃
I'm so grateful for sharing. I've been practicing for months. 3 candles at a time. Yesterday, I decided to make a bigger batch (12). I don't know what happened but my wax melted down to 3 candle with the oil for 12😱😭😭😭. I just cleaned my area and walked away. I will double check my measurements next time. (Which I learned from you).
Thank you so much for this helpful video. I appreciated how clearly you explained everything. My only criticism is that, as a total novice, I would have found it even more helpful I you had provided visual examples for each of the situations described. 🙂
Omg! I love you! I’ve been watching candle making tutorials and it’s either aggressive dudes mansplaning the processes or it’s Betsy Etsy who, like, uhmagod says the same thing 12 times when it only needed said once. YOU though- you’re funny, intelligent, solution oriented who can explain the problem and solution in a well spoken, easily understood way and ya move on LOL I appreciate you acknowledge your viewers are adults and know how to rewind if they need to hear something again. If you can’t tell I was at my wits end with these tutorials - and not to be ungrateful they’re free and those people didn’t HAVE to make them BUT let’s just say I’m just glad I found your free, didn’t have to make them videos. Thank you SO much. I don’t have to throw a brick through my computer monitor any more! So double win! LOL
Thank you for the great tips! I was having all of the mentioned issues except the yellowing one. Now I know how to avoid them! BTW, I DO have a heat gun! 😃
This was very helpful. I also use c6 wax and just found your channel. I made a batch of testers that came out great with wonderful cold and hot throw. I made another patch of testers using the exact same method and the c/h throw were not nearly as good. I got pretty annoyed but I'm glad to hear this happens sometimes. I'll get up the fight lol. Thank you!
This is so helpful! Girl, you are amazing! Thank you so much for this super educational video, I feel a lot more confident dipping my toes in the candle making waters after watching this. Candle boss goddess!
Thank you so much for your tips , may god bless you and I really wonder some time who are this unkind peoples out there who actually have time to dislike this knowledge where you took your time out to teach us . May god guide their soul 🙏🏾 keep up the hard work boo
Thank you LadyCimonne. This was very helpful. Doing a lot of research. Have not made any candles waiting for my kit to arrive. Your videos are the most helpful for this beginner.
Hi love watching your videos they're very educational for beginners like myself. Can you please make a video about business Insurance, licenses you might need and also trademarking your brand. Thank-you 💖💖
Hello Paris, wish you Merry Christmas! As always excited to see your videos and tips from Spain, they are very interesting and help those of us who are starting out in this wonderful world of candles. I would like to ask you a question, I have a doubt. I use wooden wicks and have been surprised that the wax turns a dark color, milky coffee brown if you will. The wax burns perfectly, it does not give imperfections and it burns completely, but that dark color gives the impression that the wax is dirty or burned. I don't know if it is due to the size of the wooden wick, some high percentage of fragrance, I have even come to think that I may have exceeded the casting of the soybeans. The fact is that the wax itself burns perfectly, it makes a good pool of about 2 cm, but I don't like that discoloration. You know what it's for. Thank you very much in advance
Thanks for the helpful information. Just wondering why my color settles to the bottom of the jar rather than be incorporated into the wax to give me the actual color I wanted.
Hello. Thank you so much for the video. I have a question, my very first soy wax figurine candle broke during unmolding and was flaky and crumbly inside. PLEASE HELP!!
Love your videos Paris❤️ I made some candles the other day and while they were curing I noticed the wax from one out of five of my tin container candles was a darker yellowish color. That was puzzling because I didn’t add any color to the wax. Also in one of my glass containers it had a sink hole. In that one candle making session with the jars and tins I experienced at least three of the imperfections you discussed. What really almost had me in tears was the fact that several of my glass jar containers the wax didn’t adhere to or pulled away from the sides of the jar. Thanks so much for the tips. I’m definitely getting that heat gun, lol. I bought a reference text for candle makers a while back. However I appreciate you sharing the downloadable reference. You are”bomb.” Thanks a bunch!!!🤗👍🏾
Thank you so much< have just started my journey in candle makning and you are a blessing, I could not find the trouble shooting guide? I wanted to ask you, is aromatherapy oils good for scenting candles, I am using soya wax at the moment. Thank you so much
Hello! The troubleshooting guide - you have to go to the description box and click the link where it says "Digital Products...", it will take you there. I am not sure; I have heard mix feedback on essential oils. I have not tried it because it is too expensive and it takes alot of oil to achieve a scent - but that's what I have heard. You can try and test to see :)
What’s up everyone...Hope you all had a good week!
Name two candle making problems you have experienced...Let’s chat!
While testing my candle I noticed soothing around the top of the candle while burning . What can I do to prevent this ?
@@empressambiyah9564 What do you mean by “soothing”?
@@LadyCIMONNECandleCo well when the top part of the glass turn black after burning.
@@empressambiyah9564 That is soot...my free troubleshoot guide talks about how to minimize this😊
@@LadyCIMONNECandleCo Thank you!🙏🏾

hi ms.cimmone when you use the heat gun to heat your jars, does it affect you wicking your jars or should i wick them first then heat.
I only use the heat gun to fix sinkholes so the candle is already wicked.
Much needed 😍

It's probably soot from the wick; it happens when burning candles.
