    omg I Love this Video! I'm new to the candle world and I use 464 soy wax and I honestly don't want to give up on it because I feel I'm so close to my measurements and steps to a beautifully smelling candle. I made one Tobacco Caramel candle and let it cure for 2 weeks and it smells so good! your video is so much motivation!!

    For use inside our house we can only use beeswax or soy because of soot irritation. We get lots of mixed blend paraffin candles for the patio cause they are wonderful outside & help keep bugs away.

    Okay so we are just now starting out and I've tested some FO's that do not put off a scent so we are going to try letting a tester cure for 2 weeks and see. The scent is so lovely and we definitely would want to include it in our lineup. Thanks for your video!

    Hi there, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am just starting out and wanted to know where would be the best place to purchase my wax and scents? I was purchasing from Amazon and while the scents were amazing, I was not smelling it in the candle when I test. Now I know I need to let the candle cure, thank you for that info.

    Im new to candle making, I've made about 100 candles and still can't get a good cold or hot throw. I started with 646 soy which was too difficult l changed to 6006 Para soy. Unfortunately l haven't had to much success with this wax either.
    I spent a great deal of money on materials and watch numerous video but feel just as lost now as when l first began. I'm melting to 185° and adding FO at as close to 185° as l can possibly get. I stir for nearly 90 sec to get a good mix, and l pour around 150° - 160°.
    I get the same results every time. A very light cold throw and a slim to none hot throw.
    I'm gonna take your advice and get my fragrances from Flaming Candle in stead of Candle science. I pray that that helps my fragrances but in the mean time to you have any advice. If so l would be very Thankful and appreciative.

    I am a new beginner at this candle making. I use soy wax and cotton wicks. Once my wax reach the hot throw, I pour in my fragrance oil. Stir for 2mins... I let the candles cure over night before burning to test them out and no smell of the fragrance at all. Help, any more tips on what I should do besides switch up the wax

    • @lisetterivera3982
      @lisetterivera3982 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hot throw is how the candle smells when its burning.
      For soy candles u need to let it cure for 2 weeks to test the hot throw.
      Switching Waxes don't make ur candle smell better. It's all about the wick.
      To choose a wick is based on the diameter of ur jar, and the wax ur using. I suggest doing more research before giving up. You'll figure it out but it takes time and patience.

Should I measure it in solid form or would you say liquid form is fine too? Also if I measure 1lb of wax and want 10% fragrance..is that about 1.6 oz? Sorry for all of the questions :(. You mentioned percentage with fragrances. What are you referring to when you say percentage of fragrance.
    Say I have a 4oz or 8oz soy wax candle how did you determine the amount of fragrance to use on each candle?

    • @Eyeamsandee
      @Eyeamsandee  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      depending on the wax that you use it will tell you what is the max fo% that your wax will take. For example most waxes you shouldn't add more than 10% fo oil to your candles. My wax holds 10-12% but depending on the fo I add b/w 8-10%
