Hi cyn can olaplex 6 be used as a leave in and before you blow dry? I blow dry my hair every 1-2 weeks and then braid it down. Then repeat my wash day every 1-2 weeks depending on my work schedule.
Very informative video on Olaplex, I swim weekly and wanted to try the products however, my hair gets wet when swimming and nothing I do prevents it from getting wet, as we mentioned no 1 states to apply on dry hair but that's not possible for me because of swimming, would applying it to wet/damp hair inactive the product?
Love you can’t prevent hair from getting wet in water just like you can’t prevent skin from getting wet in water. You need to set a routine but there’s no healthy way to have your hair in chlorine.
When I was a swimmer, I’d wet my hair really well with regular water, then put on my swim cap and go swim. Your hair will absorb less chlorine if it’s already wet then covered with the swim cap. Then buy that chlorine removing shampoo/body wash and use it after swimming. I still got a bit of damage, but it didn’t turn green and get really nasty. I also trimmed my hair a little every couple of months.

Love your videos! If you want to wash your hair before using olaplex 0+3, because of buildup etc- can you towel dry then proceed? Or should hair be dried completely 1st?
I’m not trying to be rude but if you have to ask that you should go to a professional. Your hair will be even more damaged. I don’t recommend relaxing damaged hair period. Don’t relax your own hair until you learn more.

Hi Cyn, If your hair is 1/2 long meaning very close to the scalp, how can you not apply No.5 to your scalp, you don't have the mid shaft length of hair, what then? will it cause scalp problems or do you try another product?
Yes it’s excessive. Once or twice a month is enough. It’s for moisture and if your shampooing twice a week you have enough moisture that’s why you keep washing it because it’s full of oil. Just just OLAPLEX 4 & 5 weekly and the moisture treatment (8) when you actually need moisture because you don’t.
There are so many erroneous myths about maintaining healthy care. Another myth I see is this T-shirt drying the hair. T-shirts are made of cotton just like a cotton towel. Microfiber towels should be used. We have ‘always’ used a cotton towel to dry our hair. Not understanding why drying hair with T-shirts. ‘Yes’ I am licensed.

Microfiber towels are good but not all have them. Ppl use beach towels when the go swimming, bathe, at a pool etc. T-shirts are ‘cotton’ fibers too. We need to re-exam some of these myths . Blessings

It’s not an oil like almond oil it’s a molecule. It’s still only used in extremely small amounts as directed.

You don’t. You can just use rose water on the scalp until your hair is atleast 2 inches long. OLAPLEX conditioner is for the hair shaft.
