Thanks Dave
just amazing and informative
Thanks
Happiness in TK Friday. These full edits are so helpful. Having a combination of repeated and new techniques is so helpful. I am improving my own editing by following your basic workflow. I have to also give a shout out to Tony K for creating the awesome TK Panels. Thanks Dave for introducing me to the TK panels years ago and for your 3 weekly tutorials!!!
that was awesome, especially learning about the dust spots, every time I learn a bit more.
Thanks again Dave , I have learned a lot, new tools are always introduced that I did not know before, beautiful photos too ,see you on next TK Friday
Thank you Dave for another very helpful video explaining the new functions of TK9
Thanks again for another great edit Dave. Nice to have a sea view and watch how you adjust those colours. I'll have to bear that in mind for future.
Thank you. Very good edit. Photo taken in Poland. This is Torpedowaffenplatz Hexengrund - Ruins of torpedo launchers from World War II
Thanks Sebastian for the image. You did an excellent job. Thanks for the info.
This was a very good use of many features on TK panel. Thanks Dave, I really enjoy your edits.
Hi Dave great video again. I am using the latest version of Photoshop cc with Tk9 and when working through your tutorial' every time I create a layer with a layer mask there is a small mask sign superimposed in the bottom right hand corner of the layer mask.I am using Windows not mac. Do you know what this is and how to remove it. It also appears if I create an adjustment layer. Hope you can help. Regards Brian
Brian that is something Photoshop started doing with the latest update. I just downloaded the latest version on my laptop. It's supposed to help you tell the difference between a regular mask and a vector mask. I really dislike that symbol and hopefully they will get rid of it if enough people complain about it. It was in PS Beta and has now arrived in Photoshop 2024's latest update. I made this video with the previous update, that's why you don't see the symbol.
Those new icons are called 'badges' and were somewhat controversial in online forums. The new version of Ps Beta (v25.2) allows you to preferentially turn them off in the Panel Options for the Layers panel accessed in the Layers panel's fly-out menu. So, hopefully that option will make it to the product version of Ps eventually also.
Beautiful photo and great edit, but when I look at the photo, it should also be great in B & W.
Wonderful edit, thank you Dave.
Amazing edit , but important of this editing is the mind and third eye of Dave. He is really talented at creating ,
Well Done sir
Thank you Dave for your very helpful video
Nice! Thanks, Dave.
Thanks Dave , I was curious what size monitor are you using? Thanks again Rick
I believe it is a 27 inch iMac Rick.
Great video Dave!
Thanks Dave.
Nice edit!
Wonderful edit ❤
Can you select subject and background like you do sky and foreground
Yes you can.
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly how?
@@susanlewis3315 Command or CTRL click when you click on the Subject Button on either the Combo or CX panel to select the subject and save it as a channel. Then Command or CTRL Double Click the subject button to save the background as a Channel.
Hi Dave and Tony. Thanks for your swift and really helpful replies. At least now I know it is not my machine etc at fault. By the way your tutorials are great Dave and really helpful in the using of Tk9. Tony Tk9 is fantastic, keep up the great work. Thanks again.
Beautiful transformation. I like the use of Saturation/Vibrance mask to add saturation to less vibrant colours. Then using selective colours to add saturation to. This gives more control to giving it a pop of colour as opposed to using soft pop.
Stunning edit Dave! Sometime you almost make my head explode!! I love it
Love your editing videos. They are incredibly helpful and your editing methods are so easy to follow. Thanks so much!
Living large Dave. It's TK Friday!
Those TK9 panels looks pretty amazing.
Thanks
Thanks for the Super Thanks.
Thanks!
Thanks for the Super Thanks Steve.
Dave, I have another question this week. What do you mean by clipping? I have used photoshop for years now and don’t recall hearing that term used.
Clipping is when you lose detail in Highlights or Shadows. When I use a Mids 3 mask it protects the darkest shadows and lightest highlights from losing detail. If I do an aggressive adjustment with the color grading tool I have the possibility of losing detail in highlights and shadows but the mids 3 mask blocks that from happening.
Dave, thanks again for another very informative edit. Am really enjoying learning to use TK9!
Bruce, thank you for the Super Thanks.
Thank you Dave 👍👍👍
Another very nice edit. Thank you sir for all the hard work you do in order to give us a great learning video. It's much appreciated.
My pleasure Mark.
