I really don't understand why people don't appreciate this drama, this is so well written. Every word from their leads just touched my heart every time.
I think korean ppl always like with easy plot, didn't like with damn good plot like this, they want PPALI PPALI ( Fast ) to understand with story line. Not like us who always enjoy genre drama like this, as long as i know, i think drama about paralle word is new thing in Kdrama, usually they made story about the Goddest like goblin or else.
Since it's a sci-fi drama, when i try to compare it to d western sci-fi series plot, the concept of 'time' in this series is kinda blurry. I understand why it's hard to focus on that issue, cuz this drama's main focus is the romance. And eventually many ppl are struggling to understand the whole concept of the sci-fi and fantasy part of it. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi. It's just my opinion 😃

And at first I thought that was super sweet. Then, thinking back to how much it hurts to wait for these eps, I was like "hold on, waiting for him would be torture" 😂

The way he loves her takes my breathe away. Him planting new memories in Tae-Euls past was both a strategic move & a romantic gesture for Tae-Eul. He wanted to be a part of her past memories so bad that he visited her at certain moments of her past. Both to communicate with present Tae-Eul & to make new memories 😌 It was beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Even the smallest details have its own meaning. The way Lee Gon uttered "annyeong" in the end was really heartfelt and you can feel the longing he felt for Tae ul. A masterpiece indeed, props to Kim Eun Sook for writing this story.
Only people with limitless imagination will be able to accept this drama and appreciate the hard work put in this by the people behind this drama. Time travel stories are never easy to depict. This show has tried its best and succeeded to a great extent. This episode was the most heart breaking one till now and the last two will be even more tragic. I have an inkling it's going to be a bittersweet ending... 🙏

One fact that makes me happy : This new memory means in this scene, while Lee Gon is in KOC holding on to JTE's ID card, hoping to see her one day, he didn't know that JTE in ROK already knows him and waiting for him to come. THEY HAVE BEEN KNOWING AND WAITING FOR EACH OTHER SINCE 1994. In the first episode, the impact of their love story is much less when only LG knows her. This new memory changes everything 😭 This is indeed one of the most longing and meaningful love story told in a drama

Ep 14 is the best episode yet.. I think everybody who was saying that there is lack of chemistry between them or can't understand why they are so much attached from the ep1 without knowing each other have get their answer now.. of course its writer is kim eun sook... Now King eternal monarch is my no. 1 Korean drama.. in this drama every scene has a meaning.. why tae eul skip so much or why lee lim didn't age.. I'm so happy that I keep watched it.. person who didn't watch it is gonna regret so much... Kim go eun said in the interview that in our drama every scene is imp.. you should slowly get to know what exactly is happening.. Strange how such a simple scene like this could already reduce me in tears... No matter what... I still like everything about this k drama... the unique storyline, great cast especially all the emotions that the actors/actress have invested in their characters, every feeling they portray appear so real... the audience can't help but hope and wonder that the leads may be in a real relationship. Credit to LMH and KGE for their excellent acting skills.

i already knew that it could be a time loop (just like in Faith, LMH's sageuk drama) but the delivery of revelations still amazed me. Like a fool, clapping my hands because it was that bewildering and jaw dropping. This is such a masterpiece and KES really is a genius, i can only think how much research she has done for this drama. There were flaws, yes, the production was limited due to the current pandemic, but still the plot really was amazing. the tkem team really did a great job and worked hard. not your typical drama that's why it really was the best choice to put it on netflix as mystery genre is not everyone's cup of tea. this drama will always makes you wonder and think.

kim eun sook is really genius. How can she come-cross creative ,logical ,mystery but lovely plot ?Wow she is brilliant. In the last scene of ep 11 there was this lee min ho who kissed tae eul that's why he is so sad.. and the scene was heartbreaking.. I gained so much respect for Lee Min Ho in this drama that seeing him suffer and cry makes me hurt. I am already used to Kim Go eun always crying that I clap at her delivery instead of feeling sorry for her, but the way Lee Min Ho cries in TKEM is so 💔
My body could not move while I was watching this episode. My whole was so tense, they giving time to breath every scene was just freakin phenomenal. The time travel stuff got to me but I'm okay now . Can't wait for episode 15 and 16 :-) :-)

The way he walks away makes me cry everytime. The longing and impatience is just so much more amplified with this drama. It's a one of it's kind romance, slightly clichéd but so much more refreshing. At this point, with two episodes to go, I just want them to hug without tears or longing, just a pure, finally-we're-together hug. That's all I ask for (and a royal wedding) writer-nim 🙌🏻

He came back to the past because he realized he is the one who save himself. Since LL and LG have the flute they heard it and go to the gate, the power of the flute is to bring them into certain time. Watch it again if still confusing

@@HiHi-jw6hh it's understandable, the 2020 lee goon realize that he was the one who save himself that day because of the jacket and cap that tae eul gave him. same with lee lim, also realize that he is actually the one who he meet that day of coup de tat, but what makes him wanted to return to the past is when he warned himself that day about big lee goon since he realize who save lee goon kid was actually himself from 2020, he was trying to meet big lee goon inside that timeless place to kill him but they did not meet physically there, but the flute did and became one inside the timeless place, which what allows them to go back to where they wish they could save themselves.
Epi. 14 is mind boggling! It made me more confused, but the story will keep you want to watch more!!! I really love LMH and KGE's acting here. It made me sad and happy at the same time. This Kdrama ruins all other Kdrama for me. There will be no other love story so epic than Kim Go Eun & Lee Min Ho in The King Eternal Monarch. Another amazing episode,what a brilliant story and story telling, 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I am totally speechless, if this was here in US, they ‘d get all Emmys, the best drama of 2020. They way the story unfolds and the whole theory of parallel world and going back in time requires intelligence, not seen this kind of story for so long, you really have to make sure you watch every single scene. And Gon and Tae eul’s love is so pure, gosh it’s absolutely breathtaking, you totally feel their longing when they meet, the way these two actors are portraying this characters❤️❤️ amazing unique chemistry. It touches your heart, without speaking they convey so much just thorough their eyes,I can see Lee min ho has improved so much, really fine actor. My take on Episode 14: - Luna poisoned Lee Gon, she said Lee Lim wants him dead. But she wants the whip/flute. -Lee Gon realizes that he is the one who saved himself. -Lee Gon and Lee Rim heard the sound of the flute thus making them go to the portal at the same time. -The Yoyo Boy said that he is somehow the spirit of the flute and that he wants to be whole again. -Yoyo Boy told Ji hun's mom that if both half of the flute is on the portal both of them can time travel and go back to the time where they can save themselves. -If half if the flute is used you can only use the space axis meaning you can only pass the portals or hop to the other world, but if the flute is whole you can both use the space axis and time axis (you can hop through time or time travel) -Both Lee Gon and Lee Rim went back to 1994. -Lee Gon wants to save his young self and his father but is late and the flute is already broken, his father already dead but at least his young self is alive and grabs the id of Tae eul. -Lee Rim wants to warn his past that first he needs to kill his nephew -the young Lee Gon to avoid the incident where young Lee Gon cuts the flute in half. -Because Lee Lim is hungry of power he ends of not listening and killed his future self. It probably means he will only leave until 2020, if everything will takes place the same, or mayve he will do something to avoid himself getting killed by himself. -Lady Noh knows somehow met future Lee Gon. She has been keeping that secret. -Because Lee Gon only has the half of the flute he was stucked in 1994. He can't time travel. Unless the past Lee Lim decided to cross the portal at the same time with Lee Gon. Half of the flute only allows space axis thus he can only go back and forth to both words. -Lee Gon has no choice but to wait for 26 years. Good thing there is an inter dimensional space (place between two portals where he kept the balloons as a guide), Lee Gon can spend approx 4 months since time inside there is 1 minute = 1 day plus. -Every move Lee Gon makes in the past is a calculated risk. That's why she told Tae eul in 2016 "when im with you i lost count". He must make sure he goes back at the right time. -Lee Gon altered some of the past by adding memories to Tae Eul and Yeong. He's been leaving clues. -Prime Minister Koo and Luna also wants to have the flute. -Shin Jae's doppleganger is alive but is in coma. The father of his counterpart knows about it. -Shin Jae doppleganger's father has the same face with Prince Buyeong's son. Could it be Shin jae is part of the royal family? A grandchild of Prince Buyeong? Lee Gon's nephew? That's why Lee Lim did not kill him yet because he is next line to the throne? -The son of Prince Buyeong helped the traitor to escape, maybe Prince Buyeong knew about it that's why he ordered his son to live abroad and never set foot to the Kingdom of Corea. -In the preview, it seems Lee Gon will be tagged as "suspect" for the death of his counterpart Ji Hun. -He made a phone call to alert the police of the possible death of his counterpart Ji hun but it seems it's late since Ji Hun already died. By doing that a part of the future has changed thus Lee Gon might be tagged as suspect.
Every small details in this drama have a meaning. -Hair tie (never thought hair tie can be so romantic) -5 person on his contact list (the person who will help him no matter what) -the green phonebooth ( lee gon uses to leave a message to tae eul, also it was a green phonebooth when tae eul called lee gon when she was chased by Lee Lim's men) -the tree ( the tree in Lee Gon's pond garden is ginko biloba also signifies unchanging/oldest tree/eternal) -alice in wonderland ( Lee Gon's favorite book, he also used a rabbit jacket for Luna to steal to catch the attention of his past self) -jung tae eul's phone case when she arrived in KOC( at the back the word "back to the future is written, a clue of time travel) -lee gon's balloons and lee rim's photograph in inter dimensional space ( lee gon uses red balloons as a guide, others says red balloon signifies hope - a hope that he will find a way to be back to tae eul. while lee rim uses photograph of people he wants to use, showing his true character- manipulative, greedy and acting as a God)

I really don't understand why people don't appreciate this drama, this is so well written. Every word from their leads just touched my heart every time.
They are idiots, they aren't a fan.
I think korean ppl always like with easy plot, didn't like with damn good plot like this, they want PPALI PPALI ( Fast ) to understand with story line. Not like us who always enjoy genre drama like this, as long as i know, i think drama about paralle word is new thing in Kdrama, usually they made story about the Goddest like goblin or else.

Since it's a sci-fi drama, when i try to compare it to d western sci-fi series plot, the concept of 'time' in this series is kinda blurry. I understand why it's hard to focus on that issue, cuz this drama's main focus is the romance. And eventually many ppl are struggling to understand the whole concept of the sci-fi and fantasy part of it. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi. It's just my opinion 😃
Nindy Akvalentin i think since its korean drama, they are focus more on romance part plus fantasy sci-fi thingy. I find every episodes interesting though.
The way he leaves small traces throughout her life shows how much he cares.
And at first I thought that was super sweet. Then, thinking back to how much it hurts to wait for these eps, I was like "hold on, waiting for him would be torture" 😂

The way he loves her takes my breathe away. Him planting new memories in Tae-Euls past was both a strategic move & a romantic gesture for Tae-Eul. He wanted to be a part of her past memories so bad that he visited her at certain moments of her past. Both to communicate with present Tae-Eul & to make new memories 😌 It was beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

Even the smallest details have its own meaning. The way Lee Gon uttered "annyeong" in the end was really heartfelt and you can feel the longing he felt for Tae ul. A masterpiece indeed, props to Kim Eun Sook for writing this story.

Only people with limitless imagination will be able to accept this drama and appreciate the hard work put in this by the people behind this drama. Time travel stories are never easy to depict. This show has tried its best and succeeded to a great extent. This episode was the most heart breaking one till now and the last two will be even more tragic. And now, he’s in the moments of her life. They’re racing against time to make effort to be together ❤️
Ep 14 is the best episode yet.. I think everybody who was saying that there is lack of chemistry between them or can't understand why they are so much attached from the ep1 without knowing each other have get their answer now.. of course its writer is kim eun sook... Now King eternal monarch is my no. 1 Korean drama.. in this drama every scene has a meaning.. why tae eul skip so much or why lee lim didn't age..

But to us and Tae Eul it's 4 months... still a long time but we shouldn't complain, it may not really help especially when you're unsure but she still had her family and friends but Lee Gon was all alone and he kept meeting her in worlds where she didn't know him... AT ALL.

Strange how such a simple scene like this could already reduce me in tears... No matter what... I still like everything about this k drama... the unique storyline, great cast especially all the emotions that the actors/actress have invested in their characters, every feeling they portray appear so real... the audience can't help but hope and wonder that the leads may be in a real relationship. Credit to LMH and KGE for their excellent acting skills.

i already knew that it could be a time loop (just like in Faith, LMH's sageuk drama) but the delivery of revelations still amazed me. Like a fool, clapping my hands because it was that bewildering and jaw dropping. This is such a masterpiece and KES really is a genius, i can only think how much research she has done for this drama. There were flaws, yes, the production was limited due to the current pandemic, but still the plot really was amazing. the tkem team really did a great job and worked hard. not your typical drama that's why it really was the best choice to put it on netflix as mystery genre is not everyone's cup of tea. this drama will always makes you wonder and think.

The way he walks away makes me cry everytime. The longing and impatience is just so much more amplified with this drama. It's a one of it's kind romance, slightly clichéd but so much more refreshing. He came back to the past because he realized he is the one who save himself. Since LL and LG have the flute they heard it and go to the gate, the power of the flute is to bring them into certain time. Watch it again if still confusing

@@HiHi-jw6hh it's understandable, the 2020 lee goon realize that he was the one who save himself that day because of the jacket and cap that tae eul gave him. same with lee lim, also realize that he is actually the one who he meet that day of coup de tat, but what makes him wanted to return to the past is when he warned himself that day about big lee goon since he realize who save lee goon kid was actually himself from 2020, he was trying to meet big lee goon inside that timeless place to kill him but they did not meet physically there, but the flute did and became one inside the timeless place, which what allows them to go back to where they wish they could save themselves.

This Kdrama ruins all other Kdrama for me. There will be no other love story so epic than Kim Go Eun & Lee Min Ho in The King Eternal Monarch. Another amazing episode,what a brilliant story and story telling, 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I am totally speechless, if this was here in US, they ‘d get all Emmys, the best drama of 2020. They way the story unfolds and the whole theory of parallel world and going back in time requires intelligence, not seen this kind of story for so long, you really have to make sure you watch every single scene. And Gon and Tae eul’s love is so pure, gosh it’s absolutely breathtaking, you totally feel their longing when they meet, the way these two actors are portraying this characters❤️❤️ amazing unique chemistry. It touches your heart, without speaking they convey so much just thorough their eyes,I can see Lee min ho has improved so much, really fine actor. Love this entire team, including supporting actors👍🏻 All are doing an amazing job. I have no idea what we are going to do when it ends.. 😢 sigh! All my best wishes to the team, hopefully we get season 2 and yes happy ending for our adorable king and his queen.. 😘😘😘
My take on Episode 14:
- Luna poisoned Lee Gon, she said Lee Lim wants him dead. But she wants the whip/flute.
-Lee Gon realizes that he is the one who saved himself.
-Lee Gon and Lee Rim heard the sound of the flute thus making them go to the portal at the same time.
-The Yoyo Boy said that he is somehow the spirit of the flute and that he wants to be whole again.
-Yoyo Boy told Ji hun's mom that if both half of the flute is on the portal both of them can time travel and go back to the time where they can save themselves.
-If half if the flute is used you can only use the space axis meaning you can only pass the portals or hop to the other world, but if the flute is whole you can both use the space axis and time axis (you can hop through time or time travel)
-Both Lee Gon and Lee Rim went back to 1994.
-Lee Gon wants to save his young self and his father but is late and the flute is already broken, his father already dead but at least his young self is alive and grabs the id of Tae eul.
-Lee Rim wants to warn his past that first he needs to kill his nephew -the young Lee Gon to avoid the incident where young Lee Gon cuts the flute in half.
-Because Lee Lim is hungry of power he ends of not listening and killed his future self. It probably means he will only leave until 2020, if everything will takes place the same, or mayve he will do something to avoid himself getting killed by himself.
-Lady Noh knows somehow met future Lee Gon. She has been keeping that secret.
-Because Lee Gon only has the half of the flute he was stucked in 1994. He can't time travel. Unless the past Lee Lim decided to cross the portal at the same time with Lee Gon. Half of the flute only allows space axis thus he can only go back and forth to both words.
-Lee Gon has no choice but to wait for 26 years. Good thing there is an inter dimensional space (place between two portals where he kept the balloons as a guide), Lee Gon can spend approx 4 months since time inside there is 1 minute = 1 day plus.
-Every move Lee Gon makes in the past is a calculated risk. That's why she told Tae eul in 2016 "when im with you i lost count". He must make sure he goes back at the right time.
-Lee Gon altered some of the past by adding memories to Tae Eul and Yeong. He's been leaving clues.
-Prime Minister Koo and Luna also wants to have the flute.
-Shin Jae's doppleganger is alive but is in coma. The father of his counterpart knows about it.
-Shin Jae doppleganger's father has the same face with Prince Buyeong's son. Could it be Shin jae is part of the royal family? A grandchild of Prince Buyeong? Lee Gon's nephew? That's why Lee Lim did not kill him yet because he is next line to the throne?
-The son of Prince Buyeong helped the traitor to escape, maybe Prince Buyeong knew about it that's why he ordered his son to live abroad and never set foot to the Kingdom of Corea.
-In the preview, it seems Lee Gon will be tagged as "suspect" for the death of his counterpart Ji Hun.
-He made a phone call to alert the police of the possible death of his counterpart Ji hun but it seems it's late since Ji Hun already died. By doing that a part of the future has changed thus Lee Gon might be tagged as suspect.
Every small details in this drama have a meaning.
-Hair tie (never thought hair tie can be so romantic)
-5 person on his contact list (the person who will help him no matter what)
-the green phonebooth ( lee gon uses to leave a message to tae eul, also it was a green phonebooth when tae eul called lee gon when she was chased by Lee Lim's men)
-the tree ( the tree in Lee Gon's pond garden is ginko biloba also signifies unchanging/oldest tree/eternal)
-alice in wonderland ( Lee Gon's favorite book, he also used a rabbit jacket for Luna to steal to catch the attention of his past self)
-jung tae eul's phone case when she arrived in KOC( at the back the word "back to the future is written, a clue of time travel)
-lee gon's balloons and lee rim's photograph in inter dimensional space ( lee gon uses red balloons as a guide, others says red balloon signifies hope - a hope that he will find a way to be back to tae eul. while lee rim uses photograph of people he wants to use, showing his true character- manipulative, greedy and acting as a God)
