I love their Love and trust in each other so much. None of that crazy revenge or psycho hate in their relationship. They have always believed and trusted in each other so much. They understood each other without words. Although TaeEul is more reserve in showing her love, you can feel her heart breaking each time he goes away. Its always so much harder for the one waiting, not knowing when your lover will return. She hoped and waited never giving up hope. Just like when see scattered those seeds in that parallel world. It's a place even LeeGon believes that the seeds won't grow, but just like their love, she has so much hope that it'll grow. She never gave up hope that their long distance relationship in different worlds will not work. The depth of her love for LeeGon is very deep. Just as LeeGon's love for her is as he says, she is his answer to everything. 🥰
The characters really suits Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun. Their acting and emotions are really deep and connect to the viewers. I can't imagine any other actor/actress doing this drama. Alexandra Bellatrix all of the characters are like written by KES with these actors in mind because they did so well in their characters. I haven’t seen any KDramas with this good characters and acting. They are all so excellent with their respective roles specially the dual roles. This is top notch and their relationships and interactions on and off screen are both endearing to watch. BRAVO and shout to the whole production and casts. This is precious drama. I can’t wait for the DVD to com e out and add it to my collection.

Their romance is something else. It's a pure and mature love, they know what they are facing and are ready everytime to letting each other go. Lee Gon and Tae-eul are both willing to take bullet for each others as long as their loved ones live. Even though the time they spent for each other is really short, they enjoyed it like it lasts forever, just like Tae-eul said, they live for the present and thats enough for tearing my heart apart 😭💔. Nado for second season. The maturity of their love also showed in that farewell scene in the bench. While Tae Eul did not want him to go, she understood why he must go hence, that heartbreaking 10th, 11th and 12th rules which were all the same.

Lee Min Ho received a lot of scripts and projects after a 3year hiatus. I am so overwhelmed that he picked this project and like he mentioned during the press conference, he was very happy when he found out that the role of Tae Eul went to Kim Go Eun. Among his peers, he was looking forward to acting with her. Their fate started there! I don't want to believe otherwise! Best decision ever.
I think for him this role showed a lot more depth in his acting skills. A little action, comedy, emotions, and of course romance. She is a wonderfully skilled actress and together they put their A-game and created a masterpiece. It is going to be tough to find another drama series to follow this one for me.

This show set a high standard in kdrama storyline, unlike any other show you just have to wait for the next episode to understand the former, but this drama keeps hunting your memory trying toconnect every dots. Confusing yet interesting that even us males don’t find it too cheesy not to finish the show but it makes you wonder what will happen next. Lessons taught here is not to dwell in the past and cherish the present to come up with a beautiful future and don’t dare change the past coz you might lose someone you can’t live without.

It suddenly all makes sense. the love story felt so rushed in the previous episodes but watching this now and what it all means, it makes sense. The feelings were there from the start. Who else cried for most of the episode? I think my eyes are still swollen
Tilda G. I just realized in the first episode, that wasn’t the first time they met. They had met previously but she couldn’t remember him I guess that is why in episode 14, when Lee Gon was traveling through time, he left memories for her so that she can remember him when they meet again. Even the little boy who was narrating the story has been there since the beginning. He has seen it all happen over and over again and the only way to stop things is to get the full flute and catch Lee Gon!
Actually, The romantic plot of this drama is not linear. It's like its being told backwards but not in a straight line flow. I really want to commend Kim Eun Suk for her innovative writing using the elements of time and space. People are used to linear story telling incorporated with flashbacks, that is why this show is really unusual and I like unusual stuffs.

I dont know why people watch it if they say its not good drama. For me it is the best among the rest. This production really needs to be appreciated more. I just hope it’s a heroic last stand because it’s not just about saving the worlds, but those you love. Lee Minho is all grown up now and it is good, time for him to shake off the 'flower boy' and play good mature parts. I don't care that the home audience are not enamoured with this drama I'm sure it will give more exposure to this fine cast everywhere else. I hope more people are touched by TKEM as much as I am. Lee Min Ho is now a matured man, honed by his military training for two (2) years. I’m glad that this is his comeback drama and that Kim Go Eun is his love interest. Go Eun is a thespian in the true sense. She can play any role with par excellence. Her first project brought her many awards. Minho on the other hand started his carreer on boy-next-door role and cutie characters. I think this drama will be the turning point of his carreer as a serious actor...but I love them both...a MinGo shipper here.👍😁🥰💖💝

JTE is KGE in real life. The writer must have created JTE based on her real life personality. KGE said it herself that she can leave everything if she decided to. She is in the moment kind a girl! Love her for that! Not sure if anyone told her before but shes a really good actor!!! I’ll be supporting your future work!! As for LMH, his grown from the usual character that he gets. This show tops all the Kdramas I have watched. The story line is beyond the world. The show is intriguing. The songs are addictive. The actors have put their all into it. We need to commend Kim Eun Sook writing is innovating, this drama was not your usual drama! Although it didn’t make sense, everything started to make sense with the time traveling that’s why they fell in love quickly in the beginning. WOW Kim eun sook is ahead of everyone she threw us off with this show (in a good way) and kept us on our feet. Kim go eun and Lee min ho’s acting is great! I hope to see them in more dramas together they great chemistry on and off screen ❤️

What I found most romantic about these last two episodes were the new memories he created just for her when he was traveling through time. What a gift!!!!! Goes to show how much he really loves her. I can see this drama breaking my heart to pieces next week.😭 but I've accepted my fate.

i got to say the king started of slow because of its heavy plot but it soon became one of the most well edited and written kdramas. Episode 14 and 15 are hands down the best episodes imo of the show so far. I thought everything would be rushed since they still had so much explaining to do but it didn’t feel rushed at all. All the actors did such an amazing job portraying their roles and I hope we get a satisfying ending next week that will fix our broken heart. Sad that Korea can’t appreciate such a beautiful master piece, but international fans gotchu. ✊🏼👏🏼💕 p.s. lee gon is probably the best character lee min ho has ever portrayed

To be honest, this is the very first K-drama I opted to watch while it's still ongoing. Each episode will keep me at the edge of my seat and it's really frustrating to wait for another episode😂 but it was worth my efforts. Before, I thought about watching this when it's already completed but that won't serve me the suspense anymore. Great job to Kim Eun-sook for writing this wonderful masterpiece.💕 And also to the casts who portrayed their roles very well. I am in awe.

There is no getting over this! I don't think any other love compares to this love. I swear it feels so real. How is Lee Min Ho 33 and still single? Maybe he hasn't found this love yet. I wonder if this kind of love is real. I get so lost in the show. I don't want it to ever end. I have felt every emotion possible in this show. I try to remind myself there just acting but it feels like it's so much more. This high of a standard I think will be impossible for any other show to even come close. I wish I didn't have to read english subtitles but I will take this anyway I can get it. My heart aches that this Friday will be the last episode. I don't want know what to do with nothing to feel the place there love has in my heart. Ok crying again😭
I was waiting for swoon to post this. Saturday's episode was so heavy. Once again, I was confused with the time travel storyline with Lee Lim & going back to 1994 however I got a lil clarity at the end. Hopefully the last episode DELIVERS and answers our questions. But damn!!! The interpersonal relationship between both Gon & Tae-Eul 😪😪😭😭 so beautiful and I am fearing how their stories will end. ❤❤❤❤ They are so perfect and despite having their flaws they are relatable. 😭

Very mature love shown by both sides..she has grown a lot too. Only remains for her to be ready to go be with him instead of making him travel through dimensions. Makes me wonder.. if she'd agreed(or the writer had written) for her to already be with him in Corea..the battle would have been on more familiar turf, with his guards and security service. Plus, even if the portal closes, she would already be with him in the country like Court Lady Noh. Now she has realized she can't live without him..was annoyed with her before for dragging her feet whenever he mentioned being with him in Corea..her passionate conversation with Shinjae about not being able to live without Lee Gon has pacified me. Lol. Their love isn't like two people that decided to fall in love.. They were destined.
I felt the exact same way after Goblin, and that was my 2nd or 3rd drama. But no worries. Korean dramas are so good overall, greater is always coming. TKEM has definitely cracked my top 5, and will stay there for a while!

Only Fringe (US) , Outlander (US) and Doctor Who (UK) are of similar genre and standard, and even they don’t combine history, fantasy, mythology, romance, sci-fi and police procedural genre altogether. The King: Eternal Monarch is a very rare gem in worldwide TV drama. You won’t find other drama series, especially South Korean ones, surpass this one easily.

I felt heartbroken when Tae Eul was answering his dad's call but couldn't let him know she was in danger. She was suffering so much that time. I thought Lee Gon would be the one found her and send her to hospital during the previous preview.

writer~nim always had its finest "together lying in one bed scene".. she have it also in descendant of the sun, she have in goblin (the day before ji eun tak died) and now she still have it in The king Eternal Monarch... and here i am hoping it things will be better for the last episode.
Dramas in the 🇵🇭 tend to lasts for a year or even 4years...😂 and that’s the reason I was hooked into the k-drama. TKEM made lockdown bearable and weekdays slow. Always waiting for Friday and Saturday nights. 😁

Genius. KES is truly a genius. I thought nothing could top Goblin but she outdid herself with TKEM. I’ve always been a fan of KGE and watched all her dramas and films, but her and LMH together is probably the best thing to ever happen to korean drama in 2020.

I’ve never said this about LMH before but his acting has improved so much with this series and even in the last few episodes. Much more depth and I feel like he’s finally using his very pretty eyes to convey all the different emotions. He was very entertaining in LOTBS but perhaps the role and script didn’t stretch him as much. He’s a much better actor here. The rest of the cast is stellar, everyone from the main cast to Lady Noh, Ji Hyun’s mum, Sin Jae’s mum and Mdm Secretary.
just wanna say this cause maybe you havent watch other minhos series like faith, cityhunter, get up, or movies like gangnam blues, public enemy,, the roles he played in those dramas and movies will only speak two word for him, BRILlANT ACTOR,, yes his been that great even before..his other dramas maybe dont have that heavy roles but definitely he played them all awesomely

I love their Love and trust in each other so much. None of that crazy revenge or psycho hate in their relationship. They have always believed and trusted in each other so much. They understood each other without words. Although TaeEul is more reserve in showing her love, you can feel her heart breaking each time he goes away. Its always so much harder for the one waiting, not knowing when your lover will return. She hoped and waited never giving up hope. Just like when see scattered those seeds in that parallel world. It's a place even LeeGon believes that the seeds won't grow, but just like their love, she has so much hope that it'll grow. She never gave up hope that their long distance relationship in different worlds will not work. The depth of her love for LeeGon is very deep. Just as LeeGon's love for her is as he says, she is his answer to everything. 🥰

Alexandra Bellatrix all of the characters are like written by KES with these actors in mind because they did so well in their characters. I haven’t seen any KDramas with this good characters and acting. They are all so excellent with their respective roles specially the dual roles. This is top notch and their relationships and interactions on and off screen are both endearing to watch. BRAVO and shout to the whole production and casts. This is precious drama. I can’t wait for the DVD to com e out and add it to my collection.

Their romance is something else. It's a pure and mature love, they know what they are facing and are ready everytime to letting each other go. Lee Gon and Tae-eul are both willing to take bullet for each others as long as their loved ones live. Even though the time they spent for each other is really short, they enjoyed it like it lasts forever, just like Tae-eul said, they live for the present and thats enough for tearing my heart apart 😭💔.

Lee Min Ho received a lot of scripts and projects after a 3year hiatus. I am so overwhelmed that he picked this project and like he mentioned during the press conference, he was very happy when he found out that the role of Tae Eul went to Kim Go Eun. Among his peers, he was looking forward to acting with her. Their fate started there! I don't want to believe otherwise! Best decision ever.
I think for him this role showed a lot more depth in his acting skills. A little action, comedy, emotions, and of course romance. She is a wonderfully skilled actress and together they put their A-game and created a masterpiece. It is going to be tough to find another drama series to follow this one for me.

This show set a high standard in kdrama storyline, unlike any other show you just have to wait for the next episode to understand the former, but this drama keeps hunting your memory trying toconnect every dots. Confusing yet interesting that even us males don’t find it too cheesy not to finish the show but it makes you wonder what will happen next. Lessons taught here is not to dwell in the past and cherish the present to come up with a beautiful future and don’t dare change the past coz you might lose someone you can’t live without.

Tilda G. I just realized in the first episode, that wasn’t the first time they met. They had met previously but she couldn’t remember him I guess that is why in episode 14, when Lee Gon was traveling through time, he left memories for her so that she can remember him when they meet again. Even the little boy who was narrating the story has been there since the beginning. He has seen it all happen over and over again and the only way to stop things is to get the full flute and catch Lee Gon!
Actually, The romantic plot of this drama is not linear. It's like its being told backwards but not in a straight line flow. I really want to commend Kim Eun Suk for her innovative writing using the elements of time and space. People are used to linear story telling incorporated with flashbacks, that is why this show is really unusual and I like unusual stuffs.

Lee Min Ho is now a matured man, honed by his military training for two (2) years. I’m glad that this is his comeback drama and that Kim Go Eun is his love interest. Go Eun is a thespian in the true sense. She can play any role with par excellence. Her first project brought her many awards. Minho on the other hand started his carreer on boy-next-door role and cutie characters. I think this drama will be the turning point of his carreer as a serious actor...but I love them both...a MinGo shipper here.👍😁🥰💖💝

We need to commend Kim Eun Sook writing is innovating, this drama was not your usual drama! Although it didn’t make sense, everything started to make sense with the time traveling that’s why they fell in love quickly in the beginning. i got to say the king started of slow because of its heavy plot but it soon became one of the most well edited and written kdramas. Episode 14 and 15 are hands down the best episodes imo of the show so far. I thought everything would be rushed since they still had so much explaining to do but it didn’t feel rushed at all. All the actors did such an amazing job portraying their roles and I hope we get a satisfying ending next week that will fix our broken heart. To be honest, this is the very first K-drama I opted to watch while it's still ongoing. Each episode will keep me at the edge of my seat and it's really frustrating to wait for another episode😂 but it was worth my efforts. Before, I thought about watching this when it's already completed but that won't serve me the suspense anymore. Great job to Kim Eun-sook for writing this wonderful masterpiece.💕 And also to the casts who portrayed their roles very well. I am in awe.

There is no getting over this! I don't think any other love compares to this love. I swear it feels so real. How is Lee Min Ho 33 and still single? Maybe he hasn't found this love yet. I wonder if this kind of love is real. I get so lost in the show. I don't want it to ever end. I have felt every emotion possible in this show. I try to remind myself there just acting but it feels like it's so much more. This high of a standard I think will be impossible for any other show to even come close. I wish I didn't have to read english subtitles but I will take this anyway I can get it. My heart aches that this Friday will be the last episode. I was waiting for swoon to post this. Saturday's episode was so heavy. Once again, I was confused with the time travel storyline with Lee Lim & going back to 1994 however I got a lil clarity at the end. Hopefully the last episode DELIVERS and answers our questions. But damn!!! The interpersonal relationship between both Gon & Tae-Eul 😪😪😭😭 so beautiful and I am fearing how their stories will end. ❤❤❤❤ They are so perfect and despite having their flaws they are relatable. 😭

Very mature love shown by both sides..she has grown a lot too. Only remains for her to be ready to go be with him instead of making him travel through dimensions.
Makes me wonder.. if she'd agreed(or the writer had written) for her to already be with him in Corea..the battle would have been on more familiar turf, with his guards and security service.
Plus, even if the portal closes, she would already be with him in the country like Court Lady Noh.
Now she has realized she can't live without him..was annoyed with her before for dragging her feet whenever he mentioned being with him in Corea..her passionate conversation with Shinjae about not being able to live without Lee Gon has pacified me. Lol.
Their love isn't like two people that decided to fall in love.. They were destined.
I don’t know, maybe I get traumatised by this drama. The King Eternal Monarch is setting my kdrama standard way too high.
I felt the exact same way after Goblin, and that was my 2nd or 3rd drama. But no worries. Korean dramas are so good overall, greater is always coming. TKEM has definitely cracked my top 5, and will stay there for a while!
MissRight91 I have watched TV dramas worldwide for over 2 decades, and I can tell you a drama this mind-blowing is hard to come by. Only Fringe (US) , Outlander (US) and Doctor Who (UK) are of similar genre and standard, and even they don’t combine history, fantasy, mythology, romance, sci-fi and police procedural genre altogether. The King: Eternal Monarch is a very rare gem in worldwide TV drama. You won’t find other drama series, especially South Korean ones, surpass this one easily.

@@AggressiveTapping Yay fellow Fringe fan!! I LOVE Fringe too! :D Every episode of Fringe forced me to learn about the science behind time and space travel. I therefore find the logic of The King: Eternal Monarch very easy to follow lol.
I felt heartbroken when Tae Eul was answering his dad's call but couldn't let him know she was in danger. She was suffering so much that time. I thought Lee Gon would be the one found her and send her to hospital during the previous preview.
One of the nicest kdrama I've seen. Their natural chemistry they brought throughout the scene just made my heart flutter. I hope to see you two in other projects. Loveyou both..

she have it also in descendant of the sun, she have in goblin (the day before ji eun tak died) and now she still have it in The king Eternal Monarch... and here i am hoping it things will be better for the last episode.
I dislike a good drama ending so soon. It’s hard to come across a good drama where you find yourself waiting for each episode.

Dramas in the 🇵🇭 tend to lasts for a year or even 4years...😂 and that’s the reason I was hooked into the k-drama. TKEM made lockdown bearable and weekdays slow. Always waiting for Friday and Saturday nights. 😁
Here in Brazil Our Dramas have, like, 176 ep haha, sadly Korean dramas not :/

What a good drama, so well written never have seen such a plot, original, no cliches. LMH, KGE, WDH were flowless, dialogues, photography, colors, ost were so beautiful. Memorable drama, I think I will rewatch it with my daughter after 30 years 😅 Nchallah ♡

Genius. KES is truly a genius. I thought nothing could top Goblin but she outdid herself with TKEM. I’ve always been a fan of KGE and watched all her dramas and films, but her and LMH together is probably the best thing to ever happen to korean drama in 2020.

I’ve never said this about LMH before but his acting has improved so much with this series and even in the last few episodes. Much more depth and I feel like he’s finally using his very pretty eyes to convey all the different emotions. He was very entertaining in LOTBS but perhaps the role and script didn’t stretch him as much. He’s a much better actor here.
The rest of the cast is stellar, everyone from the main cast to Lady Noh, Ji Hyun’s mum, Sin Jae’s mum and Mdm Secretary.
just wanna say this cause maybe you havent watch other minhos series like faith, cityhunter, get up, or movies like gangnam blues, public enemy,, the roles he played in those dramas and movies will only speak two word for him, BRILlANT ACTOR,, yes his been that great even before..his other dramas maybe dont have that heavy roles but definitely he played them all awesomely

Love to watch lee min ho expression through eyes 'yes' instead of say 'yes'. Very masterpiece. And really emotional at the part when kim go eun try the jacket along with the inst really touch my heart. Something there ny heart hurt. I cried. Dont know why. Plus she look really beautiful there.
