I’m a very senior, senior who often misplaces things. Thanks to these AirTags I always find my eyeglasses, keys and inhaler fast without the drama of a hectic search👍
I actually prefer the key ring to be at 90 degrees to the airtag holder, because it means the holder is then in lined with the keys, so it’s like a key but a bit thicker. Also, I never really understood why would someone want to attach the airtag on the outside of a bag/suitcase where it’s visible. Just throw it in one of the compartments, maybe stick it with a black duct tape and you’re good to go. In most bags and basically all suitcases, you can even put it under the liner itself, and that’s the best I think.
100% agree with you!! I‘ve never understood, why there a so many airtag cases without the 90 degree thing! Only found a few correct cases like the belkin…
any follow up on these after extended use? the elevate lab one has lots of complains about the screws loosening or falling out over time leading to lost tags…
I put a small dab of Vibra-Tite VC3 threadlocker on the screws and have never had an issue with loosening or backing out. It’s been at least a year of everyday abuse, getting wet, vibrations, etc.
I stumbled upon your channel by chance and have been watching every new video since then. Also going through the backlog. You inspired me to refine my EDC and get a Victorinox Compact. And I can't believe in how many situations I've already needed it - including cutting free a deer and a sheep badly entangled in a pasture fence this week. So thank you very much for your videos and even though they've already cost me me a lot, I'm always looking forward to your new content. Keep up the good work.
@@JonGadget Your channel is the best EDC channel out there. Thank you! I built a John Gadget inspired key chain / wallet solution. Ordered the Wingback Keyloop to the US. (Mother in law, from England was laughing how someone would spend $60 for two pieces of metal and a string. LOL) Has on one end my car key fob, a name / contact textile tag, an airtag (disguised with a black sticker) using the Belkin case, and a small pill fob for emergency meds. The other end has the Victorinox Manager (swapped the red plastic covers with black ones), a small pry bar / multi tool Nite Ize DoohicKey, and a miniature flashlight MecArmy X4S. The whole set is all in black except the wingback and pill fob. No other keys on the loop, using electronic door locks everywhere. Thanks to the wingback everything stays very flat in the pocket. Now the whole set fits easily into the Alpaka Gear ZIP POUCH VX42 with the orange lining and I'm also adding 4-6 credit cards and a fresnel lens card plus $50 cash. This is my camping, hiking, outdoor setup. Usually carry a LV pocket organizer that has the credit card sized tile tracker. I need trackers on all these items!
Just recently was searching for Victorinox knife reviews, and Mini Champ in particular. Found review on this channel, really liked it, and now I'm watching every single video. Thanks.
First time seeing your videos but wanted to say thanks! Your editing is very concise and your critiques feel very thorough. I found myself hitting the subscribe button half-way through this video. Cheers!
I'm a bit surprised OrbitKey haven't made an AirTag case specifically for their key organizer yet. I entirely agree about the 90° issue -- I have the official Apple leather case (which is very wasted attached to the key strap in my backpack), and if I put that on the D-ring on the OrbitKey organizer it gets too long and you have the key ring just being wasted space.
Another very thoughtful thorough review. I’ve been collecting bits and pieces of information about different options, but this is very useful for me to make a purchase choice. Thank you Jon.
Well done review! I just picked up my first Airtag and want to attach it to my motorcycle keys. I appreciate your video for showing me several good options.
Yeah I prefer to use my AirTag in the exact opposite orientation you do. I would much rather it in line with my keys so it just feels like an extra key!
I have the caseology and the rubber is too thick to fit a standard key ring so you have no choice to clip it to your keys with a carabiner which just adds so much more bulk
A perpendicular keyring actually is much better for bulk since all keys are now parallel to the air tag and sit flush. It only adds more bulk if you're only carrying the airtag by itself. But if you're doing that then bulk isn't your main issue sir :-)
Eh I doubt it. A credit card AirTag would far outsell those cases. It’s certainly possible that they may not do one in order to generally transition away from credit cards altogether but even then that seems like an unlikely reason currently.
I hate the fact that the minimal designs are all so obvious what it is 😵💫 I want to disguise it obviously

I think this is down to personal preference and what people carry on their keyring. I agree with your second point 👍

I don't have any Apple product and still enjoyed watching 😊😊
Thanks Eyal, kind of you to say.
I don't either!
I'm looking for an American to help take a video of the unboxing, it's a wallet with an airtag slot, are you interested?
@@lnn3542 Although Jon uses words like flashlight and cell phone, there is in fact no Americans here.

That is the best Apple Airtag video I've ever seen, thank you very much.. would you please update the video with the latest technology?

Is “Ethically sourced leather” AKA vinyl?
The Key Smart storage solution has a tracker built in if you want a key solution all in one.

I use the belkin and I have had no issues with it and I’ve been using it since AirTags launched
👍 me too
Right now I am using the Keysmart Air which has the benefit of allowing me to organize my keys and use it with the Apple AirTag
Thanks for sharing. I’ll check it out.

I would suspect, that the technology needs to get "smaller" before it will fit the key organizer.
Would be a good idea to combine it in some way. Thanks for the feedback.

I love how detailed your videos are
Tried most of those and a fair few others. The Nomad one is hands down the best IMO.
Great video, Helped me choose the nomad for my new car keys, i didn't want a case that showed the air tag as it would get scratched, Top job
Good video, gave a thumbs up
Well done review! I just picked up my first Airtag and want to attach it to my motorcycle keys. I appreciate your video for showing me several good options.
I also use that Belkin version since it got released. Had no problems with it, would also recommend it
I’ve used this for a long time too. Was one of the few good alternatives to Apple when AirTag was released.
Still good? Some people say the AirTag pops out if dropped.
Loved your video! I just ordered one for my best friend’s dog and also a nice red collar too 😊🦮
Is there an air Tag for Android? I purchase the "ijoy airtag holder" but do not have an iPhone

nice eyewear which brand are those?
You just earnt yourself a new subscriber, hopefully more videos to come of great quality/information like this

The best airtag case is the DamonLight Stainless Steel Air Tag Holder
Wow, thank you! Subscribed!
Thanks for the video. Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever told you you looked like Anthony Hopkins?
😂 now I can’t unsee 😮😂
Using a fishing swivel would over come the 90 degree problem on the first airtag.
I wouldn’t expect apple to design a card version simply because they want you to buy their wallet.
Eh I doubt it. A credit card AirTag would far outsell those cases. It’s certainly possible that they may not do one in order to generally transition away from credit cards altogether but even then that seems like an unlikely reason currently.
I think wallets will be around for a while yet.

I saw a YT video on how to successfully disable the sound on the tag so thieves will not be alerted.
Sound is easy to deactivate. Back pops off, remove speaker magnet, clip speaker wire, silent.
Why are you so obsessed with the AirTag being in line with the key ring? Your keys won’t be.
Makes me sad creepy losers made these mostly useless for theft tracking.
Just cannot do apple products! 😒 never
