"If they don't kill you, I will!" One of my favorite things ever.

What Castle tried to do in theaters (but was often hampered by miniscule budgets) ,they're doing in the theme parks today.

Trust me, they only belong in theme parks.

01:15 lol he actually threatened his audience from spoilers

Man invented Endgame spoilers before Endgame was even a twinkle in the eye of Kevin Feigi (who at this point was just a twinkle in the eye)

What I wouldn’t give to bring back these gimmicks into today’s fleeting movie theaters

A Spider-Man dummy flying above the audience for No Way Home… they are doing a rerelease so they can still do it
We need these back to save theaters, do it cheaply if you must

William Castle was a master promotor. He was a showman

Hitchcock copied Castle's promotional techniques when he released "Psycho".

I wish there were more mothers like the one that said it was fine for her daughter to watch this film.

Juan Borjas Does anyone out there remember the paper hatchets that the audience would swing in the air when Joan Crawford would chop off a head in the movie straight Jacket? they were a free handout.

I can see how the gimmicks were crazy back then, but they’re pretty tame now. I saw House on Haunted Hill, it was good but insane

The Sardonicus Len was smart, cause people are gonna wanna see the movie multiple times to view both endings, so they may have to go 2,3, maybe 4 or more times

    • @Foxy02016

Unfriended: Dark Web and Clue are 2 examples of movies that actually had multiple endings, and it’s cool to discuss a movie with a friend just to find out you saw different endings

In the Tingler he put electrodes under your seat to make you feel like the creature was running under your feet in the cinema and also when Vincent Price was performing surgery

So the women were made of strong stuff back then, but the men were scared of horror movies.
