    Love the Catch and Cook, please keep going forward with it. I like your quote: no such thing as a trash fish, just trash cooks.

    That was the most aesthetically pleasing dish yet. You really nailed it with the “contrasting colors” as you mentioned. Good shit, Vic!

    That fish looks wonderful! Got a delicious green bean recipe my family loves. Steam green beans with raw bacon cut in pieces. When beans are done season them with fresh lemon juice, butter, salt, and pepper. My family absolutely loves this!

    Although the lookdown and Atlantic moonfish are very similar in appearance, they are indeed two different fish. The lookdown has much longer fins.

  • @wrightackle1
    @wrightackle1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    That was so cool to watch. When I was a kid we used to catch them on small diamond jigs. They were quite a bit larger [maybe two to three pounds] than the ones you were catching. On ultra light tackle they were a blast. This was back in the mid 60's to early 70's. Then they disappeared. The size of those fillets would be perfect for fish taco's. Excellent job on the cooking part of the vid.

    do a thin coat of seasoned flour before the egg and your egg will stick better.. Also dry hand/wet hand helps keep the junk off your finger.. (you use one hand for the dry side and one hand for the egg)
