Great work EMC! With that stated, as the writer of "X-Factor" the edited film version, I will eventually post a breakdown of the cadence & further emphasize the rhythmic & melodic voicing of the cadence. Initially, X-Factor was/is part of an entire percussion feature that has over 273 measures with written marimba, xylophone, timpani & accessory percussion parts! My Brothers on The Morris Brown Drumline played the 1st 50 or so measures of the piece which had an HBCU marching drumline texture & feel to it. After the movie scored with such impact, further light was shined upon & overdue respect was given to prolific HBCU drumlines such as Norfolk St., North Carolina A&T, South Carolina St., Prairie View A&M, Alabama A&M, Alabama St., Pine Bluff Univ., Bethune-Cookman, North Carolina Central, Virginia St., Texas Southern, Howard Univ. as well as the young men Harv & Ralph from BYOS & many other MEAC & SWAC drumlines I haven't mentioned. It was my honor & joy to work & teach at Morris Brown College & help push open the door for other black colleges to get the proper due notice, acknowledgement & respect for our contributions to the art of marching percussion. I say this in all honor of humility & pride because I am a working class brother from Memphis, Tennessee who has a primary background in drum set studies & performance & I never envisioned myself writing a progressive marching drum cadence/full percussion feature in which the 1st 50 or so measures would end up being played in a film by the gifted young brothers at Morris Brown in Atlanta, GA! To all of the black colleges I mentioned previously, you all keep up the outstanding work & keep pushing total musical development! 💪👍🌟

It's nice to hear this clean instead of dirty like in the movie. I was friends for a while on FaceBook with an actual player who was in DrumLine 2. He was the one who started the fight in the second movie. He lives in Atlanta and teaches several schools. Nice guy and I quizzed him on Show Band lines compared to drum corps. I also asked him the value of the flub drums and small tom toms instead of several quad players. I tried getting him hooked up for endorsement with my high school/also drum corps friend Erick Johnson who founded, owns and president of Innovative Percussion. Kinda lost touch with him but it was cool contact while it lasted. Again glad to hear this clean!

I'd have to say Eric Carr played better than Eric Carr.

I’m still learning Drumline beats. Drumline is my second favorite movie. Top movies Terminator 2 Judgement Day, Drum Line, and The Dark Knight.

That was awesome. It was nice actually watching a drummer playing these parts too. I enjoyed this more than the movie. I always felt Morris brown would have won that drum battle too.

Man! That was fun to watch. Brought me back to my days of watching movie over and over looking to do this same thing ... yet I only got about 12% of the way this man just executed
