Looking back at this, the CG for it's time was pretty impressive, everyone hates on it but they did the best job they could during that time, I enjoy this movie anyways, and I really hope it gets a reboot cuz it would be INSANE if it was made today with the tech we got now!!!!!...

I Agree this movie is still badass imo
I think people hate how the hell scenes and the Malebolgia character's model and animation. Those were done by a different CGI studio than the ones who created the suit and the cape. The latter are pretty decent IMO, as the above scenes show. If that quality would have been consistent throughout the whole movie noone would hate the CGI at all in Spawn I think.

I was born in 83 so I was a young teen when this came out and I loved it. It's still a great movie and I'll listen to the soundtrack sometimes. Michael Jai White would still be a great choice for the part even if it's a reboot. Yes I know they are supposed to be working on a new movie but it doesn't sound like a movie about Spawn
Nah and they are supposed to use Jamie Foxx this time. As much as Jamie is a good actor I don't think I could take him seriously as Spawn.

Wait to see before you judge. I think he's going to do great. I'm ready to be disappointed but if I'm right? The movie will be that much better. When Ben Affleck was cast as Batman I believed he'd be amazing, regardless what everyone else said. I was right. Based on his movies, ability and comic book knowledge. Ben Affleck killed it. Jaime Foxx is studying the comics and working very closely with Todd McFarlane. Now it can either go 2 ways. Good or bad. Or very bad. With Todd at the helm I can say it'll be accurate to the comics. The problem is Commie Hollywood and will they let him make a good superhero movie.

I remember watching this in theaters and it blowing my mind the part when he comes crashing through the ceiling always gives me chills. I wish Michael could reprise the roll of spawn I know he's older now but he's still in pretty good shape. Plus he would be wearing makeup so you wouldn't be able to notice the age difference. If not oh well just please give us another spawn movie.

Props to this film for making the visual look of Spawn so good. They nailed the look for live action really well in my eyes. While the CG is dated you can tell the animators probably had fun with this one. Not to mention all his powers and abilities he gets to use.
The day this film came out I was sitting in my garage smoking a cig and was bored. All my buddies were nursing hangovers from the night before. I had an 8th of magic mushrooms left over from the night prior, so I ate them all then walked to the movie theatre to see this movie. It was crazy!! What a trip!! :)
