I have had the pleasure of meeting and flying with Josh at West Baden. He is a good guy and fun to be around. While the indoor world championships are not always held at West Baden, the indoor community congregates there annually, usually in March. It’s such a small community of people, we all get to know each fairly well, and the annual meeting at West Baden is like a family reunion of sorts. You see people you haven’t seen in a year, great them as they walk in, and you pick up a conversation from a year ago like no time had passed since you last saw each other. It is this really amazing thing that happens within this tight knit group of people. And it doesn’t matter if you are flying the Limited Penny Plane event, or the world class F1D event. Once you start flying at the national level, you are part of the family. If you like model aviation, and love a challenge, give indoor a try.
😊 Thanks, Grandad. Was my first interview so that was new for me! It helps a lot when you have easy-going and knowledgeable people to interview. The Finns enjoyed the humor in it.
RC guys looked into Boron back in the '80's, and even tho the jokes of "cutting down the tree" were active, the danger of using Boron is the extreme! Very brittle, if it penetrates your skin via breakage, it will continue to 'flow' to one's heart, causing very disastorous results!
josh is awesome....i saw him first in a flite test video...he was the one who introduced your channel to me from his facebook profile.
Yeah, I love that Flite Test video and Josh is awesome. He knows his stuff for sure! Thanks for watching, liking, and subscribing to us. Welcome! 😀

Thanks geebee3d! That’s awesome! Well said! 👍😀
Thank you both, it was great to see this arcane art explained so well. You two are naturals.
Yeah! The idea of this video was to try to shed a little more light on F1D and make it less “arcane.” Thanks! 😀
Brilliant video, you have a natural interviewing technique :-)

Well done! You are a natural interviewer!
Thanks! 😊
hi nice vid
Hi, Alvies! Thank you!
I was lucky enough to launch RC rocket gliders with Josh once. He has so much energy and such a great attitude.
If carbon works so well, you'd think that boron would be even better. I mean, it's even lighter and still as strong.

I was not aware of its volitility. I thus retract my previous statement.
Oh interesting. Didn’t know that. Wow I guess Boron really is a unique material.
