Kashaka aren't trending because they're a pain to learn. And I mean that in the literal sense. You will hit your knuckles. A lot. Which is why I can forgive the guy for his long hecking kashaka string and his inability to catch the things. He plays them more like maraccas or shakers.
You are a true virtuoso, a magnificent musician, percussionist and besides, the instrument does not resist you and you have known how to use "castanets" typical of my country, Spain, which not everyone knows how to play.

My dad’s father was extremely talented at the bones, and my dad still has my grandpa’s set. People always think I’m crazy when I say my family heirloom is a pair of bones 😂
