Passed my IRATA 1 at HAKI today and the manoeuvres are almost identical. Been using these videos all week for reference and they have helped massively. Great channel and thanks for the vids! ✌️
Wait, you went over an edge with your croll?? I've always been taught you shouldn't do that. I was told I would fail an assessment if I went over an edge in your croll.
@@blackjaguar160 if you keep it in your croll when going over the edge if you slip or fall back you’ll damage the rope because the croll is a tooth device so you switch to your rig that way if you do fall you won’t damage the rope
@@turntasf3433 Ok, i understand. But it's a little bit contradictory though, because same thing would happen with the Asap, if you fall the Asap will damage the rope. I always thought that fall arrest devices shouldn't be "toothy", because of that reason (like the Shunt for example, no teeth).
@@blackjaguar160 that’s a good argument! I’m working offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and we use “ducks” for the backup. It’s a toothless device im sure you’re familiar with that, I guess it’s different for every job 🤷🏻♂️

Yea usually you put on your rig for that step 🤷🏻♂️
@@turntasf3433 Do you know why is that? What could happen if you do it with the croll?
