Wow! Never expected this. This car was so much glued with our entire family. It was owned by my uncle and Sumo & Safari was its competitor in highways for us then. our vehicle max speed was 80km/hr so we always lose the race. So many golden memories. We used to travel with more than 10 people in this vehicle. I remember drenching once in kutrallam without those doors and was totally enjoying at that moment. My uncle then rebuilt this car with doors and few upgrades then mainly to safeguard from rain during long drives. This car had become like a family member for us before it was sold in 2005. That was a painful moment back then. Thanks Asir for coming up with this content 🙇

This Neelesh Anna's trekker runs between kumaracoil junction to Noorul islam college (Kanyakumari District) Used to go in this trekker during 2004- 07. Lots of memories.. It charges 2 rs that time for one person.

I still remember this vehicle, I took driving licence through this car (5 speed) In our college we had 4 speed as well. Transportation department said to get DL need to drive 5 speed hence that gear box was introduced. Very smooth and easy to drive vehicle. Thank you for bringing the memories back🎉

It’s just flooding memories from the past, I still remember travelling in this same vehicle n it’s so surprising that Neelakandan anna is still having it. Hindustan Motors made iconic n sturdy vehicles but didn’t sense the wind of fancy cars that’s gonna bombard India. Had they tried to sway along, I believe they would have survived even today. Later HM launched Contessa Classic with 1.8 Isuzu engine which is Indian muscle car with great comfort and sophistication. I have traveled from chennai to kanyakumari. There is No 4 or 6 way track roads in 80s, but the car was great in performance and was ultra luxury and premium in those time😊

Few times travel like this trekker from neendakara to kollam in Kerala when I was working in king fisheries between 1987-88.
Never forgot the front left corner seat travel with full visibility of village-City and fisheries villages.

As bro said the trucker and Neelagandan Anna look the same as we saw 22 years back. My best wishes to you anna for maintaining your trucker till today. Anna your humorous behaviour also has not changed .... We love that Anna.For 3 years, weekly 5 days used by this trucker, traveling by standing (hanging) back side that felt unmatchable, such a memorable traveling and motoring.

My eyes came watery😢 after seeing Trekker as i learned driving and got my licence in Dharmapuri in 2002 after completing my graduation. All driving schools in Dharmapuri , salem, Krishnagiri during that time teach driving in trekker only and we drive in Salem byepass road. Sweet memories. Exactly said by neelakandan ayya this is a massive weight career carrying 10 people and heavy built vehicle. We won't get tired and feeling to drive more and more. Since driving this vehicle i started liking Jeep type vehicle and purchased my Bolero. I don't like cars as I love to see the bonnet while driving as it will give a different experience and the diesel engine rumble will add a good flavour 😊 to it. Only Jeep lovers and torque lovers can understand what I am saying. These vehicles meant for torque build and can easily swallow any type of road. Super Asir bro for making this video.
