Thank you so much for doing this Blues series. I love JLH, Skip James, Mississippi John Hurt and Son House! Mississippi John Hurt doesn't have enough reissues... They're all legends. Thank you again Chad and everyone involved.
So looking forward to this Series. Been patiently waiting for someone to come out with a top notch Blues Series. Looks like the wait is almost over. Thank You Acoustic Sounds.
Oh man, now this is what I call totally EXCITING! This is the best news I've heard from any company pressing vinyl records all year!! 😻😻😻😻😻 I so much look forward to this blues series. ❤Thank you, thank you for taking on this blues project, Chad; I'm sure that these pressings will become classics unto themselves, especially with the use of Doug Sax's tube electronics cutting system. You are a genuine, certified blues brother! 👍👍👍👍👍
Great news, great music, really excited !! Hats off Chad and the team. Why not make a production copy of those wonderful master tapes on your tape deck to be able to offer tape copies of those albums. Would be great…. I will get the vinyl release for sure and I will be in line for such tape release too!!! J from Paris
Man I get so excited seeing those tapes. So on the 4 tracks; did Matt do the mixing also? And did he cut from 4T to lacquer? Or did he do another “new” 2T to cut from?
Chad and Matt - this is great! I just picked up John Lee Hooker’s “Travelin’” in OG mono and is clean. It sounds unbelievable. Will the older issues be in mono? I hope so. Any Fred McDowell? Can’t wait. The last point that Chad made about cutting lacquer and plating immediately is huge! My understanding that this is why Monarch pressings sound so great - close proximity of cutting and plating. Mono pleeeeease!
Chad, did you use the same master tape to cut your AP 2XLP Burning hell in 2009? I have it so I'm curious to know that. Kevin Gray cut a re-issue of the Skip James title back in 2006, curious to see if this release betters that. I have that LP too.
Guys, please be a bit more professional in handling those historic, priceless master tapes. Touching them with bare hands so casually, letting the reels slide off of your laps, almost dropping them to the floor from the table! I understand the excitement, but I cringe every time I see something like that. You've got to treat these treasure trove with much more care & respect they deserve. No wonder the record companies, original owners wouldn't let master tapes out of their vaults anymore. 💝
Chad Kassem AND team, you ARE making a DIFFERENCE

Did Kevin Gray use Doug Sax's hollow state (tubes) electronics cutting system on the Skip James album? If not, I'd get it just for that.
I think Chad said before that he might be able to repress the 45 cuts after the 33s are out for a few months. Fingers 🤞
Will there be tape versions available from this series? Hopefully!
Cut the 4 track master of Skip James to 45 RPM.

Their not touching the tape, their touching the "flang"! Big difference! They know what their doing, otherwise companies wouldn't trust them with it!
They did nothing wrong. You, who have never handled a master tape in your life, need to calm down
@@MrRom92DAW 'you have never handled a master tape in your life' = hmmm, how did you figure that?
I'm ready
