I just recently got a fitting done with PXG. He put the black ops in my hand and I really like them. He recommended me stay with a graphite shafts because of my ball flight. 125TX shafts and I needed my lie angle 2deg up. I've never pured the ball so well.
My Liege and Mikey, That first hack was absolutely hilarious and you still stuck it near the hole!! Legend. Another great review, Lads. Thank you again.
Thanks guys! Really love your reviews. Been a Srixon ZX7 MK1 and 2 player for almost 4 years now. Always intrigued by the PXG. Can't wait to try the 0317 Tour and new Gen 7 P irons this fall.
I have never played or tried one length irons, but with the way PXG can adjust the clubs weight I feel they would be ideal! As a man in my 50’s bending over less with just my shorter clubs kind and of makes me think.
I just got fitted for gen 7 0311p irons. I’m a high handicap and really thought the xp would be the option but I hit them pretty bad and the p model has a ton of forgiveness so I’d say for players who might shy away from the P model bc if their ball striking ability you may be surprised. This is my first pxg anything. I wanted to get away from the usual taylormade / mizuno and just change it up. They felt great so I’m excited to get them in
My fitter put me in P for 8-pw, XP for 7, black op 6,7 hybrids, and a9 fairway. Sugar daddy 50&56. It perfect for my game. Had gen4 and didn’t really need to upgrade but I wanted to
I think the new bounce will help a lot of my higher handicap players I've been with pxg for 5 years and would love to see a t model but not with the new 12° bounce off the wedge
Anybody who is a first responder of has military service (at least US, not sure about our Canadian friends) is eligible for their "Heros Program", which saves you about 15 percent off retail. Several other manufacturers have similar programs, although they don't advertise them as much as PXG does.
My 40 year old ping eye twos + feel absolutely fantastic...impossible for a club to feel better. If I need the club to go farther, I use the next club in the bag or use a wood....what a concept?
I play the Gen5 0311P irons 4-P. Absolutely love them. That 4 iron launches scud missiles and it’s amazing! Probably going to stay in these for at least another iteration before upgrading again.
I have never played a PXG. Would love to see a comparison of them versus the new Mizuno HM Pro. I currently play JPX 900 Pro and would like to update. Will your Calgary store be fitting PXG's? Thx.
I'm playing the Gen6 0311 P irons and am very happy with them. I think the Gen 6 look better than the Gen 7, and based on this video I don't see an obvious performance enhancement from Gen 6 to Gen 7. Maybe you could do a head-to-head?
WTF lmao that out to in swing, TRIGGERED! 😆😆 I feel attacked ian jeeeez hahaha. Those P Gen's though man, i looooove that floaty flight to those. You can definitely be accurate with them! But at what price range though...i've always known to see PXG to be way higher priced than other makers.
Nice videos guys. I currently play the 0317t’s. I like them but am looking at something a little more forgiving. Are the new gen 7 0311 P’s easier to hit and more forgiving? Thanks
why are so OEM's releasing in Late August? why not in April/May?? is there an issue with the different carrys from all the shots with the 7? A friend has the Gen 6 and said that was the main issue they had. it would go 15yds difference depending on strike
Guys I have the gen 5 p irons. Was going to get the gen6 now. But should I go to the gen 7 instead Is it much better than the gen 6 p irons in your opinion
I have a club champion here in Des Moines, IA, can I be fitted for these here, and will it be as good as a PXG store fitting? Currently playing gen2 SGI
I thought PXG decided to keep the T model in their lineup but just separate it from the Gen6/Gen7/etc. releases? They put out the 0317 T just last fall.
They do still have the T model. Like you said, PXG bumped it out of the flagship 0311 lineup (where the GEN6 and GEN7 live) and into the 0317 lineup (where the ST and CB blades live). The 0311 GEN7 irons come in P and XP only.
Love my 0211’s. They feel really good and love that it’s cast so it doesn’t ding up like crazy. I hope Black Ops is an addition and not a replacement of the 0211.
The most forgiving club is the one you hit in the center of the face most often. That being said I’ve noticed a significant difference between gen6 and gen7
Forgive me. I'm a "traditional" loft player. I play Mizuno mp32's and my pw is, to me, 1 degree strong at 47°. How the heck do you gap your wedges when you go from 41° pw to a 50° gap and 54-56° sw? Also, I always looked at spin to be around the number of iron x 1000. 7 iron=7000 5 iron=5000 etc. What are any benefits to lofting so low and losing so much spin? This all just baffles me.
1990 called and wants its balata balls back. The numbers you reference don't apply anymore since the Pro V1 was introduced. Tiger/Scotty/Fleetwood are the only guys on tour still playing 47 degree PWs (all three play the P7TW irons). The XP is for hacks and geezers who are only going to hit that PW 110 yards anyway. They need gaps as wide as possible & don't have the same concerns you do. As a former fellow MP-32 player, I'm playing PXG Gen 3 T and the PW is 45 degrees. I go 50-55-60 and have no gapping issues. The P lofts are about the same as P790, which is their main competition. The 0317 range would be more your speed (T/CB/ST correspond directly to TM's P770/P-7CB/P-7MB).
@@canyonaro well, your entire comment isn't relevant since thus,pw is 41° hence my question. Plus, pro V made some sort of difference???? So everything goes further. Same rules still apply to gapping. Where/what loft you putting in between a 41pw and a 54sw that makes less than a 20yd gap? Thanks for the long winded nothing reply though.
The best thing to do with pxg is get fit for the non-new models (like gen5 or 6 now that 7 came out). They're brand new and dirt cheap and they barley depreciate for when you want to swap those down the road.
@@theCycleReportthis. I bought my gen 3s right after gen4 came out. Cost less than my Mizunos. They also do the "Lucky 7" deal so you can get 5-PW plus a hybrid or a $300 Sugar Daddy wedge for the same price as most other OEMs.
God I hate how brands are allowed to call a club whatever they want. Calling a 27 degree iron a “7” is a joke. The industry needs to agree on angle ranges for clubs and stick to it so folks know what they are buying.
That's the order of the clubs they sell you. They could probably call the set 2-8 if it makes your life easier.. lol they know what they are doing and this is the order leading to wedges. Not worth getting worked up
@@smallraymond1he means the iron lofts aren't consistent you dingus. They market these irons as giving you a lot of distance, but it's because they just bend a 7 iron down to a 5 iron loft
