I don't blame Raine for being mad at her bio-mom Pretty sure she was like 11 years old when she and Genis were sent to Sylvarant. Imagine being that young and taking care of a baby sibling with no one else to be there. I know Virginia did it because she thought they would have a better life there but Genis and Raine have a good life in spite of Virginia's actions not because of them
There is also another skit later on where Genis comments that although Raine is his big sister, he always thought of her like his mother too. Raine is clearly taken aback by this, and is touched he feels this way about her. Also fun fact: Lloyd has crushed on Raine for a *long* time, the guy loves older women.

afaik you can get that extra scene earlier, cuz I did it before I was going to fight Kratos at the Forest near Heimdall. I assume the trigger for it is Lloyd having the option to wield the Eternal Sword aka after Zelos betrayed you because of the formed plans which Raine notes basically in that new extra scene.

And to think that all of this was a SIDE QUEST. As in people could beat this whole game without ever knowing this existed. Wild.

they had an incredible dub. being a nurse and caregiver for years i know how you feel. dementia is an illness that destroys and never forgives
