Calling it now, that car's gonna have reliability problems on race day. We joke about McLaren-Hondas blowing up with clockwork regularity, but if Long Beach was any indication, Andretti Autosport isn't great at providing cars that finish the race either.

You need to go into the race settings in order to set the fuel and tire wear. It's under damage settings.
Also, Down arrow on the pad and wheel brings up the telemetry, left and right arrows change the telemetry screens. Last screen on the right is Fuel, Tire wear, and damage.

If you want some more challenging oval racing, try the NASCAR pack at Homestead (I think). Requires a bit of throttle control and braking to get around the lap.

xFitcho You'll probably like Darlington a lot too. Slightly asymmetrical corners, not a lot of banking, not a lot of grip.
He isn't managing any throttle or braking at all. It was all just full throttle all the way around.
Darlington's a nightmare in any sim. But it's a fun nightmare.
I like how they don't use the oval cars in forza
13v4 it's the same car that runs the oval and tracks. It's just a different aero kit.
actually it's a bit different with the chassis.
13v4 yes the chassis is changed a little but it is still the same chassis, same engine, same transmission as The racetrack car. they use the same car all year if it doesn't crash to hard. The rules are the same engine has to run all the races if there is no engine failed.
TheBlackdragonnight actually many of them save a new chassis for Indy to run but my original point was that it isn't exactly the same.

On what lap did your engine blow up?
If you turn damage on you would have tyre degradation and fuel and damage with contact on but because the setting you had on before you started the race that's why when you hit the wall nothing happened fuel is indicated by the white bar under which gear you're in. I'm also pretty sure when you were setting up the race you can put rolling starts on

in real life, those eradic racing lines you take would cause a crash.
I grew up 45 mins from the track, been to that track a handful of times in my life.
The intro seems to be a tad bit long than I'm used to.
I still love it, good work.
Love to see you play some more Forza! And this is a game that also looks good in the menus (great variety of cars, custom liveries, upgrades on cars, etc). Maybe next time also credit the guy that made the livery, I think that helps in the community.
you can only bring up a mirror if the car has one. Indycars only have side mirrors, thus disabling the top mirror option
You didnt have damage, or fule/ tire usage! Also the small bar below your gear number is the fuel

White bar under gear is your fuel level Ben, if you select telemetry and scroll all the way right you get a Fuel %
You didn't have damage on. Your tires would die in like 20 laps

the fuel gauge is under the gear indicator on the telemetry on the bottom right. the white bar. it empties left to right as fuel goes down. Also you bring up the detailed telemetry for tire wear.
also, I think you had wear turned off. your fuel never went down. And your lap times would indicate no tire wear.
Pretty sure someone will have already told you but the fuel gauge is underneath the gear indicator (the white bar). You may have not had simulation damage and wear etc on as your fuel stayed at full the whole way around ;D
@tiametmarduk I think you may have had damage off on this race and also you can set the grid to have a rolling start too

You could try it again with fuel and tire wear on. 50 laps on Indy requires at least 2 stops, and you have to coast a bit to get there.

Awesome intro and the fuel is the bar under the gear number on the Speedometer lol!! Or if you keep all of the telemetry's up the number of laps you have left on fuel should be on there as well!! Trust me I learned the hard way lol!!

A good oval on iracing to do is 5 flags speedway. It's very technical heavy braking track.

If you did the Indy Endurance showcase it's 100 laps but you can't use a custom livery :)
you can change the start type to rolling in one of the settings

I played DAYS of Forxa 4 and have stood in victory lane with a car worth more then $50,000 but I still havent went to see an INDY Race....idk what kind-of American I have become lol ...could you imagine how hard that wind is hitting your head in that car, it is probably PLANTED to the airbox.

6:50 in F1 2016 the yellow car to your left wouldve just pushed you straight into the wall.
You have to activate rolling starts in the menu before going to the race.

The Indy 500 is 500 miles over the course of 200 laps so 50 laps would be 125 miles because 2.5x50=125 so this video was the Indianapolis 125
