Great vid as usual and you've given me a couple of ideas for a drainage problem I'll have to address very shortly ... but by all that's holy and without expletives, you did all that for a $100 ?? 😮

G'day. Yeah the bricks I picked up for free by asking around and just grabbing left overs over a period of time. Cement $10, sand came from the ground. The rest was all the plastic fittings & things. They really add up quick. The slabs I picked up from a guy who repaved his house & wanted the old slabs gone.

@@AaronHahnStudios ... nice work, but to be honest, you're preaching to the converted here ... I don't know if you remember but way back when I got some advice off you (via email - Gold Coast retaining wall) about what I initally thought was a 6 month job ... anyhoo, 3 years later I'm about half way through it 🙄- to be fair I had to make some adjustments / improvements to which I had to adapt and overcome but I have to say it's turning out pretty well ... but as you did, along the way I focused on getting freebies, give-aways and specials and it's literally, without a word of a lie, saved me thousands ... times are a-changing though, life's getting tougher and what people were giving away for free a couple of years ago, just to get rid, they are now looking to get some money back ... such is life

    Hi Aaron,
I have a concrete soakwell in my backyard in QLD that is fed from two down pipes from the house. When it rains, the soakwell is overflowing onto the lawn in the backyard and pools. What actions do you suggest? I was thinking first trying to take the metal lid off the well and shovel out any debris (leaves etc) to see if that helps.

QLD has some really heavy rains alright. I feel you. If you didn't make the soak well then I can only suggest a full dig out like I had to & fix it right once and for all. email me some photo's & I will do the best I can from the other side of the sandpit to help. I promise.

Nice video. We hace investment property and water is building up away from property in the backyards closed to retaining wall. I wish i can send you photos or video so you can probably give insight of what may be the problem.

The storm water drain at our place can't cope with a heavy downpour, I don't know why. The pipe goes to the next street under the neighbours property, maybe a set up like yours would work here

I hope anything I did helps. Without seeing your situation I'm not sure what advice to give.
