    Full of disturbing memories of three tours of Iraq. VA has prescribed me numerouse anxiety medications. This is the only thing that lets me relax and chase away the nagging demons. Thank you for producing this.

      No one forced you into the armed forces- you made a conscious choice. What exactly did you think you were signing up for? You wanted to join an entity that engages in and propagates war- and you did. Congratulations! You did this to yourself soldier. You are so sad- but what's sadder are the people that are dead for no reason whatsoever and who don't have the luxury of having memories anymore. i Had No Choice- i was Forced to the see the most gruesome things as a child and live in squalor in a war torn nation as my house and school were bombed and my family members were tortured. Yeah... thanks for your service! i already know I'll get a bunch of hate mail for this- just being honest.

    I know this is an older video but I just slept the longest I have slept in years after only finding you a short while ago. Christian this is huge for me❣️

    I’ve recently turned 40 and just can’t seem to find my zen in any aspect of my life lately and am just having a hard time coping. Since discovering your channel I’ve honestly never slept better and can say I feel like I’m my way to healing! Thank you for what you do, it’s nothing short of amazing ❤️

    Your voice soothes my 6 and 7 year old boys to sleep it’s the only thing that works.I was sorry to learn about your dad but I wanted to say thank you for taking that loss and pain and transforming that energy into something that is so beautiful and hopeful you have Helped 1000’s of people.From one you have saved many.I am grateful

      I'm sorry to hear that your 6 and 7 year old boys also need to listen to this to sleep. Normally, they will fall asleep once they get to bed.

    You are brilliant I listen to Jason Stevenson and Michael Sealy as well. The work you do is priceless and valuable and I am so grateful for your efforts focusing me on relaxing. Your amazing and thank you for sharing your gifts. After 5 years of domestic violence
    I'm trying to rebuild myself slowly and healing my mind has been the hardest part. I suffered a spinal fracture and a brain injury due to the violence and a!of of time I just am alone and feeling sad traumatized and anxious your talk down is one of the only things that has carried me through this

    This has honestly improved my life. After about 4 or 5 sessions of this, my depression is slowly melting away. I've even given up smoking and my anxiety levels have dropped.
    This is good stuff. Thank you, I wholly appreciate this.

      Like you, I've smoked nearly all my life. 36 years to be exact. I wish I was rich, I'd buy an island, food supplies and tell my staff that, under no circumstances are they to ferry me cigarettes. Someone actually did that - can't recall his name.

    I love your work. I have been suffering from insomnia for months before I came upon your channel. Now I am falling asleep within 15-20 minutes and more importantly staying asleep. If I do wake up in middle of the night I replay this and fall back asleep quickly. Thank you for what you do.

    I absolutely love this. It is revolutionising my life! As a long term insomniac, I cannot believe that I am getting many hours of good sleep then still wanting to hunker down under the covers to feel "cosy"! No feeling of lack of sleep, no hangover from getting g drunk to get to sleep. I wish I had this 20 years ago!!!!!

      I do that "hunker down and feel cosy" thing too when I wake up. I don't go back to sleep, just "feel cosy". Ahhhhh

    Hey Christian, last night this meditation had a positive effect on my subconscious mind. I don't know what you said, but my cortisol levels decreased overnight; allowing me to sleep uninterrupted. Thanks for the positive impact. GB 💯

      I usually try to talk in the longer ones for at least half an hour. I know what you mean, some people only talk for 5 to 10 mins and then an hour of music. I don't do that. Thanks Leah

    I had insomnia since pretty much birth and I tried so much... Even medication only helped to a degree... Now I found those videos and I'm amazed how fast I can fall asleep... Thank you

    A second comment here. Have been having unprecedented and frightening panic attacks for several days now, and last night for the first time I tried Meditation Vacation and this particular guided meditation and it helped enormously. This evening as I got into bed I could feel the anxiety rising in me, literally fearful to put my head on the pillow. I tried another of Christian's guided meditations and used the ear buds. I just awakened from 3 hours of total relaxation. During those 3 hours I awoke a few times but went right back to sleep. The combination of the choice of words, the imagery he creates, his tone of voice and the great depth of spirituality (I don't know what else to call it) and compassion all makes for a level of relief that is nothing less than a marvel. Thank you.

      @@MeditationVacation Just as a follow-up: at night, just as I turn on what ever meditation I select, I also have right-clicked to select the "LOOP" function and the panic attacks are almost gone now, both daytime and night time. I also use the 15 minute nap one during the day sometimes and the Autumn one as well. I have a friend who is in Northern Ireland who has been doing trauma counseling for years, and she was quite interested in your work. It's so good to have some relief from this! Thanks Christian.

    Ok folks, although i only slept for a few minutes this is amazing!! I was trying this as a nap and i cannot beleive i actually slept a little.i have never been able to nap!!!!

    I struggle with multiple permanent severe mental illness' & severe Intractable incurable pain. Thank you so much for all your wonderful help and contributions to humanity. For me, sometimes it is literally a matter of listening to your calming, walkthrough meditation videos that helps me with my conditions and you help me feel more at peace. Many, many times your videos, particularly this one, is able to help me sleep, even when I could not sleep dispite taking strong pain and sedation medications. Sometimes I've gone days without sleep, but your able to help me rest, remain calm and often able to sleep. Thank you so very much.

      Meditation Vacation well I think way too much while in bed, I reflect on the day, what might of gone wrong and how to rectify it next time. Or what someone said that I took offense to and ask myself why and how to change that, it just goes on and on and I can't seem to turn it off. If the day goes well I sleep well....

      What has helped me is understanding that i can’t do anything about those thoughts, and that’s all they are thoughts. You can’t change anything at the moment. That’s why we say stay at the “moment” because at night while you are laying there you can’t do anything and if you could those you can’t control what people say or think. Look at those thoughts if you want examine them but set a time for each thought and then let it go. Tell yourself “these are just thought I cant control them right now, I’m allowing myself to let them go” I hope this helps remember your mind is very strong but you are in control.

    I love your voice! No joke i have minimum of 6 anxiety attacks a night lasting no less that 20 minutes each time night time is pure hell for me on top of the attacks i get pvc's which just in case you dont know what that is its where your heart goes in to a irregular beat for a few seconds and its super scary and because of all of this i have become so scared of everything because im scared of causing a attack so im sure just by saying that you know its really hard for me to sleep but since i stumbled on to your channel your videos have helped me sleep so much better they calm my fears, anxiety, and my mind is quiet (for the most part) while going to sleep but as long as your voice is on my alexa i am able to sleep so i keep your videos on loop thank you so much Mr. Thomas

    It was great you and a Michael Sealy makes my life more bearable with my fibromyalgia disorder and posttramatic syndrome and avoiding grains wheat.com I m coming up from 2008 when I almost loss my life to abuse . Now my sleep is so good my Miraclebrand sheets, my hopes to move away from abusive neighbor will be realized if I keep meditating with you and others thanks!

      I don't mean to scare you away from these videos, but if you watch this every night, you will start depending on this video to sleep, and without it, you will not be able to sleep. Just saying, maybe watch it 1-3 times a week instead.

    I listen to this for the last two nights😍😍 ...love the soft sound of the waves very relaxing 😀😀. I have never heard it in its entirety because it works so beautifully. 👍👍 For those of you that it didn't work you may have to try several others 💓.     Saved to my favourites. The music is usually to much for me, altho I like it, but the music in yours is perfect. Very subtle and gentle. This lulls me to sleep and if I stir and wake up, hearing your voice again calms me back down so I can drift off again. The suggestions u make are really well thought out. Thank u for your time and effort. This will be my go- to for sleep now.

    Since I started using this meditation my dreams feels like a reality I wake up confused if the things I lived are a dream or really happen but I love it coz I solved some personal problems in while I was sleeping

    wow! just wow! first time trying something like this and I wish I'd tried it sooner! I have suffered from a lifetime of sleep issues and couldn't even GET to sleep w/out my friends Trazodone, White Noise, Ross, Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, Jerry, Elaine, Kramer and other familiar TV friends. My new friend Christian had me asleep within 5 minutes and I didn't wake up once during the night.

    That Guy I appreciate your brutal honesty. I’ve suffered crippling anxiety since I was a child (~6 yo and am now about to be 60). I have PTSD, anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder and chronic pain. First, the PTSD and anxiety then a catastrophic snow skiing accident in 1987 left me with physical pain I didn’t know was possible. I also have daily migraines that send me to the hospital bc my blood pressure gets as high as 280/200 (more than once) and I don’t have high BP. I tried alcohol at 12 and didn’t particularly like it but then I met a boy when I was 15 who beat, raped as well as many other things that made me turn to alcohol just to forget the abuse. Fortunately, I escaped him at 17 and moved 2500 miles away. Although I kept drinking to tamp down the raging anxiety, panic and PTSD. I met a great guy, graduated college but couldn’t shake my past.
    Counseling, etc. didn’t work bc I couldn’t be honest-it was too humiliating to tell the truth bc I thought it was my fault 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. My first husband had an affair after being married for 10 years so I filed for divorce and figured I had my degree, was still young and could have the house and white picket fence.
    I began volunteering for a hospice organization and met my second husband there. We’ve been married 29 years. The ONLY THING THAT STOPPED ME FROM DRINKING was becoming pregnant with our daughter. That was almost 26 years ago and I thank God every day for that miracle. However, the chronic pain from the accident NEVER went away. Neither did the panic attacks. Like you I was put on one med after another. Finally I feel like I’m in a good place, not perfect but good. For at least 25 years I lay in bed at night and pray for God to take me. I wasn’t going to kill my self but I couldn’t cope with the pain and everyone would just say ”get over it, exercise, change your diet, vitamins, injections, surgeries -u name it I’ve heard it” and NONE of it helped until I was 55 years old-FIVE years ago. I finally met a trainer at a gym who told me the way I was living was unacceptable. He introduced me to a world class surgeon who asked why I hadn’t had my knees replaced in my 40’s. I went to ~40 doctors and they all said the same thing “you’re too young. Wait until you’re at least late 60’s, early 70’s.” The world class doctor immediately sent me to a colleague and I had both knees replaced within a month. The doctor said he didn’t understand how I’d been able to cope with the bone on bone pain for 25+ years as well as the disfigures femurs, tibias and fibulae, which all had to be fixed.
    I thank God and my trainer , who’s since died of cancer, but at least go to see me walk normally; every day. Here’s the biggest message I could put out there: drinking, pills, etc only mask the agonizing pain. ***MEDITATION IS ONE OF THE ONLY THINGS THAT’S EVER WORKED FOR ME.*** I’m not saying it’s a cure all, But since I discovered it in 1988 I’ve used it to help with the pain and anxiety. I even took an old-fashioned cassette tape player to the hospital in 1990 for the first of many operations and procedures. All the doctors and nurses thought I was crazy, well who’s crazy now?!😉. I came across this meditation channel I believe in summer 2015 after my knee replacement. I just put it on a loop and listen all night. Sometimes I listen during the the day. I don’t have one that works for everything but I haven’t found one that didn’t work. Thank you for sharing your story. I’ve honestly thought I was the only one out there struggling with all this crap. I know attend dv counseling, lift weights, do yoga, Krav Maga, you name it I’m back to trying it. I can’t do triathlons anymore bc of the running or do mountain climbing but everything else is fair game.
    Don’t give up, don’t quit, don’t stop telling your story and eventually like me, someone will listen and help. I still struggle but meditation makes life bearable and makes me see life IS worth living. Ty for your bravery in sharing your struggles. 🤗🙏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻😁 I want to be honest I do still have to take some anxiety meds and other meds but I always include meditation as the primary tool in my tool box. Please don’t stop the meditations. Could you do one on yoga nidra? I find it particularly powerful and helpful. Ty again.

    I had the craziest lucid dreaming experience last night with this I'm almost afraid to do it tonight. What an eye opener though. I was very much under hypnosis. Yea ill do it again!

    Hey Christian, I just wanted to comment to let you know these videos help so much. They help so many of us. They have helped me with anxiety, depression, ptsd, insomnia, etc. when no medication or therapy could. I don’t understand exactly why they help (although I have some ideas) - and this is coming from someone that studies psychology and neuroscience - but they do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Theses videos really help me! I'm 13 and struggle to sleep and sometimes I don't get sleep at all. I'm usually up untill 2:00 in the morning even when I'm trying to sleep and if I'm lucky I can fall asleep around 12:00. But listening to these videos really help me sleep

    I struggle a lot with falling asleep, between motor tics, eczema, allergies, hives and an overactive mind, but usually these help a bit, still struggle a lot but they help ease overactive mind, some tics and itching a little bit.

    Used this one last night. Going to stick with this one for a while. I fell asleep to it last night so didnt hear it all 😂😂😂 but listened to some of it today during a state of panic. It calmed me. But to be honest i didnt remember it cz of that panic state ❤️

    Hey Christian, it’s been a while, I cannot believe your meteoric rise to stardom, I don’t know if you can remember, I was one of your first 100. I can remember when you wasn’t sure which direction you wanted to take your channel.
