Actually, I'm brazilian and Goldberg's pronunciation of "dos Anjos" is slightly closer to our pronunciation in Brazil than the one used by the UFC Commentary Team. It is hard for me to explain, because in english you dont see this very often, but we say something like "dos Andjos" (the J having the same sound as in Jim or Jean), not "dos Años" or "dos Anios" (where the J sound like an I). Does that make sense? It is a very nasal sound.
Thanks for making that clear. I am German and don't know Brazilian Portuguese, but I surmised that since you pronounce Rio de Janeiro as "djuhneyro" and not as "yuhneyro", Anjos must be "undjos" too.
Michael Bisping's road to gold will always give me goosebumps. Sure as a fighter he may have been an asshole but his career makes for a great movie. Not to mention how he basically became champion with one eye
As a brazilian i just wanna point out that Goldberg's pronunciation of dos Anjos is right, his mistake is that the "A" in "Fa" is pronounced like the "A" in "Ra", he pronounces it like if it was written with an "I" in pt-br.

Given how Valentina fights, maybe not have died (we were all saying that about Jennifer Maia) but certainly outclassed in every way. Glad the fight for the belt was against Joanna though, made for a decent fight and a solid win on Valentina's record.
I haven't watched it yet but I hope Robbie Lawler is in here. Never thought he would turn his career around and became one of the most exciting WW champs ever.
I had forgotten why I initially didn't like Tyron Woodley, and this reminded me: he got a title fight after a TKO over Dong Hyun Kim and a split decision with a #7 ranked Kelvin Gastelum. Two wins. Meanwhile, Wonderboy was on 6-fight streak, and had crushed #2 ranked Johny Hendricks in the first round. Woodley felt entitled to a title fight simply because Hendricks dropped out of their match-up, but Wonderboy actually BEAT Hendricks after tearing through the division. The fact that T-Wood got his wish and STILL claimed the race card while campaigning for the belt really irked me, as pretty much everyone at the time thought that Wonderboy should have fought Lawler for the title, and Woodley should have beaten at least one opponent in the top 5 before even thinking about a title shot. In fact, if Woodley wanted a title shot, they should have made him fight #1 ranked Rory MacDonald, who likely would have beaten him again and sent him back down the rankings. Instead (and inexplicably), Wonderboy had to beat Rory to even fight Tyron for the belt. But I guess being a jerk pays off, because Woodley's stubbornness won the day, while Wonderboy's tendency to be the "nice-guy" resulted in him just getting pushed around by the UFC.
