Some of the best shots I've seen from the dunes! Good job getting out past the first dune crest, too many people stay on the Eastern face and miss out on the insane comps facing west. Great video again!
been following the channel for awhile since the first few videos and i have to say youre content is improving and your photographs keep getting better and better - keep up the good work!
I'm headed to the Great Sand Dunes in a month. I was worried about using my DSLR in the sand and wind. Would you suggest not using it and maybe just use my GoPro? Safe travels! -Dave
Thanks Dave! I wouldn’t worry too much, just keep the camera at least a few feet above the sand at all times. My DSLR was fine afterward; the video camera suffered because I kept setting it down closer to the surface of the sand while shooting photos
These are some amazing pictures!
Such rad shots and journey!
Thanks!
Years ago I had my Nikon D90 out among the dunes. Not exactly a camera-friendly environment. Very nice video!

Thanks! It’s crazy how the perspective changes when you’re at the base vs. on top looking down
I am following your journey. Amazing adventure and awesome shots! Thank you for sharing :)
Thanks Jina!

Nice video! I went to Great sand dunes last year but just shot from the road mostly. I'll definitely have to get out and explore more next time.
Thanks! It’s awesome once you get back in there
You've got some nice camera chops! Subbed. Cheers!
Thank you so much!

@@GarretWeintrob Thanks! Should be fun to see the Dunes, Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Mesa Verde National Parks in one trip next month.
ah i still have yet to visit the dunes! always wanted to see someone shoot here
The heartache light is to found up on the escape dunes. And beware the wind here, do know the sound of sand grinding within my lens.
How long did it take you to get out there?
I think about 30 minutes to get to the top of the first dune? Hard to remember exactly.
